Features to know about

Effortless Installation: Custom Fit T-Connector

Installing your trailer wiring is a breeze with the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness. With its custom-fit T-connector, you can quickly plug it into your vehicle's existing wiring without any cutting or splicing. This feature ensures a straightforward and hassle-free setup, making it perfect for both DIY enthusiasts and first-timers.

Tail Light Compatibility Simplified: Built-In Converter

No more confusion with differing wiring systems! The built-in tail light converter on this harness combines your vehicle’s separate brake and turn signals into a single wire for compatibility with most trailers’ two-wire systems. This converter ensures that your trailer's tail lights function correctly, offering seamless integration without affecting your vehicle's lighting.

Corrosion Protection for Longevity: Protective Terminal Design

Worried about weathering affecting your wiring connections? The Hopkins harness is designed with protective connection terminals resistant to corrosion, ensuring a long-lasting and reliable performance. It even includes a dust cap, cable ties, and terminal grease to keep everything secure and in prime condition.

Power for Every Trailer Type: Versatile 4-Flat Connector

The 4-way flat trailer connector gives your vehicle the power to handle various trailers and accessories. Compatible with 5, 6, and 7-pole adapters, this connector gives you flexibility and options for all your towing needs. Whether you're towing a small utility trailer or a camping trailer, this harness has you covered.

Safety and Reliability Built-In: 16 Gauge Wire with Maximum Amperage

Feel confident with the safety features built into this harness. It includes a 16-gauge wire designed to handle maximum amperage with turn lights up to 2.1 amps per circuit. This means your wire can handle the demands of your trailer’s lighting system, delivering dependable performance every time.

Ease of Use Every Time: Removable Rear Cargo Connector

Easily stow the 4-way flat connector in your rear cargo when not in use, thanks to its convenient design. When you're ready to tow, simply plug it in—no need to fumble around under your vehicle. This makes accessing and using your trailer wiring as simple and straightforward as possible.

Very happy with trailer hitch, vehicle wiring and delivery

Absolutely foolproof. I just plugged it in and it works! I've never wired anything before (except maybe a household lamp) and I'm so pleased that I didn't have to pay someone big bucks. I'm soooo happy!

2007 Honda Pilot

The Plug-n-Tow wiring harness is a great product for my 2007 Pilot. The Honda dealer wanted well over twice the price of a similar product.. It hooked up and worked well.

by:
HondaElement

Directions at e-trailer were easy to follow for my '03 Element. Took less than 30 minutes. Good quality product.

by:

very Happy with the service. I felt like the directions wheren't clear so I called them and right away they figured it out and I was finished.

by:
2006 Honda Pilot

Direct plug and play, works well. I cut the weird close to the box so I could run them through the grommets.

by:
2004 Honda Odyssey

Wonderful service. Easily tracked order. Came to my door. Installed easily. Good video "how to" to help. Thanks.

by:

Easy to install, but I had to watch a youtube video because the instructions weren't the best.

by:

Fit like a glove, the hardest part was pulling back and replacing the interior panels.

by:
2006 Honda Pilot

Very satisfied with this wiring harness. It installed exactely as the instructions said, as was done in a few minutes.

by:
2007 Honda Pilot

Worked great. Installations could have been graphical but I had watched a video on line and the install was simple. I ran the plug down through two existing grommets and cut a slice in them to allow the wire to pass through.

by:

Ordering was fast, easy, and the representative was friendly and efficient. She kept me informed by email of the progress of my order until it left your facility. I ordered on Friday and received it on Tuesday! Fast and quality product. Will recommend to others and I will you use again for all my trailer/cargo needs. Thanks.

by:
2004 Honda Odyssey

Quick install, JUST like they said. Note, on the 2004 Odyssey, it is in the left sidewall. Took maybe 20 minutes total to do this. Have used it several times already. How convenient, to just have it there in the trunk, instead of getting messed up under the car (my last one got cut... somehow... under the car). Great price too!
Thanks!
Sterling

by:

Great sale, fast delivery and order confirmation. Hitch took literally 15 minutes to install and light kit another 15. Nice hidden hitch.

by:
2004 Honda Pilot

just as described, hooks up in a matter of seconds to the factory harness, and sneaks into the storage bin no problem which is great for keeping the harness out of the weather when not in use. I was a little worried at first for some reason that the length would be a bit short when following the same install path as the video showed, but there is more than enough wire after installing, and safely closing the hatch on the wire. Great product, well worth the price.

by:
1999 Honda Accord

Easy hookup once I found the connection. The package only said where it was for an Accord wagon, not a regular Accord. Its on the driver's side rear quarter panel, behind the paneling in the trunk. Just follow the wire from the driver's side tail light forward.

by:

The product was shipped immediately and installation was exactly as decribed, plug and play. A good deal all around, great transaction, thank you etrailer.com!

2000 Honda Accord

2000 Honda Accord Ex V6Perfect. This car has a tow plug in the trunk behind the plastic covering of the taillights just waiting for this harness to connect to it. I sent it thru a rubber grommet next to the base of the wheel well to connect to the trailer and it was that easy.

May I assume that my 2000 Honda Accord LX V6 sedan will have the same hook up? If so, In a few weeks, I will order a hitch and wiring. Thank you.

I have ordered two hitches and two wiring harnesses from etrailer. Amidst other good (and not so good) online retailers, etrailer stands out as one of the very best: informative videos, good products, fast service, and very knowledgeable support staff. I called with a technical question before a purchase and received exactly the information I needed. Excellent company.

by:

It works fine, but it is not as pictured. The wires are not encased in the gray sleeve like in the picture of the product. Could have saved a few bucks had I known that because that's the reason I chose this harness.

Install was pretty straightforward, especially thanks to the video.

  • Is a 4-Way Harness Needed if My 2004 Honda Pilot Already has a Factory Installed 4-Way Connector
Ordinarily, you would need three components to complete a brake controller and trailer wiring set up on a 2004 Honda Pilot. The brake controller, the 7 and 4 Way Installation Kit, # ETBC7, and wiring harness 43105 or 118336. If you already have a 4-Way connection at the rear of the vehicle, you should only need the brake controller and the ETBC7 kit. You have to make sure your 4-Way connection you have currently on the vehicle is functional (it is wired and ready to use). The ETBC7 kit...

The 2003 Acura MDX is not per-wired for a brake controller so you will need a few things in order to install a brake controller starting with a 4- to 7-Way installation kit # ETBC7.
