Installation
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located in your rear cargo area. You will have to remove the rear scuff panel, storage trim panel, and side trim panel to access this harness. Once you've plugged in the connector, open your fuse box and locate the fuse position indicated in the instructions. Then insert the included 10-amp fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed in an out-of-the-way location within your trunk.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A tail light converter is built into this T-connector. This converter is a circuit-protected, battery-powered unit that bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness. As a result, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.
Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of the trailer. This converter combines the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
Curt builds each tail light converter using surface-mount technology (SMT). This method of construction involves soldering electronic components directly to the surface of a printed circuit board. SMT eliminates the need for leads, which are used in older through-hole technology. The result is a circuit board that is smaller yet provides more routing area and that offers superior performance, reliability and durability.
Circuit boards constructed using SMT have been shown to perform better under rough conditions with excessive vibration than those made using the through-hole method. And where would vibration be more likely to occur than in towing applications? Curt converters also produce less heat, leading to increased durability and longer life. In addition, lower levels of resistance ensure better performance, especially for parts that operate at higher frequencies.
Each Curt circuit board is made using high-quality components that are pieced together in the most technologically savvy fashion, leading to greater predictability and reliability in functioning.

However, I did have to buy a 20 amp fuse for the car fuse block as it did not come with one.
Watch the video to see how to remove/loosen panels. Even they were easy.
Product works great, great quality and almost perfect install instructions. One small miss on the install instructions, there is a hanger on the rear plastic panel that needs to be removed and is not described in the instructions. Open hook partway, push white tab, remove. Several online comments about folks breaking this hanger when installing the Curt harness in a CRV.
hitch and wiring harness arrived ,FAST ! package was in great shape, no damage to package. will be installing soon , will post more once done. Thanks for quick shipping and great customer support
Need color photos for instructions, makes it easier to follow directions.

Works fine
Both the hitch and wiring were of very good quality and have been working well.
The installation on the Honda CRV was difficult because I do not have a car lift but I was able to manage the installation by myself by following the great instructions. The wiring also proved a bit challenging and would be easier if the instructions had better photos. Considering the installation challenges I still feel this is a great product at a good price.
Easy installation. It may have taken 10 minutes. I didnt realize the harness included the required fuses, which was great.
Product and service is always top notch! I,ve got no reason to shop anywhere else for my trailering needs.
WATCH THE E-TRAILER INSTALL VIDEO (and use a panel tool). Note that the factory towing harness connector plug for a 2023 Honda CRV Hybrid is in a different place from what is shown in the video. Mine was located by the back left corner support pillar, and you don't have to remove as much paneling to access it (less than what the video shows). Like the one in the video, it still has brown tape around it. I did not cut that tape (like the video), I just plugged it in. Easy! NOTE, however, I had to put a 20 amp fuse into the internal fuse box slot #17 (trailer). This was reported in other users feedback, I did not see it in the e-trailer instructions. Once I did that all lights worked correctly. (I am glad I saw the comment!)
The Curt wiring harness C56370 fits perfect on my 2024 Honda CR-V EX FWD. The plug needed for this harness is in place on the 2024 Honda CR-V EX FWD. The only thing that was not in the instructions was adding a 20amp fuse in the fuse box holder underneath the steering wheel for the harness to work correctly.(see image) I did route the wiring harness to the outside using the rubber grommet in the tire wheel. Highly recommend cutting a slit in the grommet and reinstalling the grommet inserting the harness through it to prevent the wiring insulation getting cut through over time...
A simple product done well. Watch the install video on YouTube, however. It will help tremendously.
I am very appreciative of the way [they] handled my issue. When they were unable to honor the terms of my contract due to a 3rd party's action, they immediately returned the fee I paid for 1 day delivery.
Fit and functioned perfectly. One quibble: The black and white photos in the installation instructions are rather dark, so details are harder to discern. Took a while to figure things out, but the installation was straight forward.
Easy install thanks to Honda providing a connector for the harness to plug into. The etrailer install video was super helpful.
When I called to make sure I was ordering the correct hitch and bike rack they were very informative and knowledgeable. The process was seamless and delivery was outstanding. Hats off to the company and staff
Installation went as easy as the video. No problems.
Can I try to install the harness it did not work. I called your number and spoke to Melissa. She advised me to make sure a 20 amp fuse was plugged into slight 17 and bingo. It worked well. Thank you for all of your help. I really appreciate it and kudos to Melissa.
Wire harness came with the fuse connection not alined so very hard to install the fuse. Hard to try plugging the fuse in and di bend the fuse prongs.(hope it works)
Also the video for our hear and model for our car did not match totally since our car panels were not the same as the video, so instead of being able to zip tie the harness to hold it in place, I had to use my wife to try reaching behind the panel to plug in-the connector, while tried pulling the panel out.
If the panel would have pulled out like the video, and the fuse connection better, I would give it a 5 star rating.
Always had great dealings with etrailer.
It is working, easy to install, removing interior plastic body parts is always a bit intimidating, but I bought an inexpensive set of the the tools to remove them, the concern was putting it back together so it would look like a nice late model car, and I was successful.
About as simple as it gets, obviously be careful with body panels.
Only 2 notes.
1. On the 2023 CRV EX, fuse # 17 "YOP TRAILER 20AMP" needs to be added in order for harness to have power. Should probably be a install note.
2. Package seemed dusty and included double sided adhesive was no good at all like it sat in sun and lost all adhesion. Substituted some standard foam core double sided tape I had already.
Quick delivery and product is awesome! Would recommend to anyone looking for a trailer hitch
Easy to install. YouTube instructions h elped.
I've installed many hitches and accessories before and this was by far the easiest. Usually the electrical install is what I dislike the most out of the entire job, because I hate taking interior body panels off with all the flaky "click" plastic pieces that are just looking for an excuse to break.
On my 2025 CR-V Hybrid Touring, this was the easiest hitch wiring harness install I've ever done. Basically, pull up on the cover where the spare should be (but actually houses the battery; there's a ton of space in there, why not make the cover easier to remove?). This also removes the rear step trim simultaneously. Then pull out the driver's side interior quarter panel, again all clips, NO legit fasteners.
Here's where the install differs from the videos and the included sheet - in the Hybrid, the connector for the hitch is actually up to the left, taped up with a wiring harness kind of behind the tail light. It's still accessible and you can connect the hitch wiring with one (right) hand. This makes it so you don't actually have to remove the entire quarter panel, just reach in, connect (hear it click), route the 4-way under the panel into the battery compartment and you're good to go.
Then just push everything back in place, hope you didn't break any fasteners, and you're good.
The last step is to install the 15A fuse in the panel in the driver's footwell. Of course it's not labeled well - "YOP TRAILER" and is the 3rd column, 2nd row from the top.
After reviewing several YouTube videos on the installation, it went very well.
Very nice harness
