  • Provides a 4-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights
    • Compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole and 7-pole adapters (sold separately)
  • Connects quickly and easily - no cutting or splicing of wires
    • Locate connection points behind tail lights
    • Plug in T-connector

Installation

This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You may have to remove the tail light assemblies and interior trim panels to access this harness.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

A simple installation on a ford explorer. Everything just plugs in and best of all no cutting into the original wiring harness which as you know opens yourself up to future problems A Quality product

Perfect fit on my 2000 Ford Ranger! Shipped very fast and in perfect condition! I installed in my driveway in about an hour. Fit like a glove. It looks great! Will order again!

2000 Ford Ranger

My new boat's trailer 4 flat plug would not fully insert into the factory 4 flat connnector on my Ford Ranger. I hadn't previously used the factory connector, so I think it was related to corrosion.
I researched after market trailer wiring options and purchased this one from etrailer.com. The order was prompted filled and shipped.
The harness is well constructed with heavy gauge wire and insulation and was guaranteed to fit my Ranger.
I installed the harness per instructions and it worked like a charm.
This was an excellent solution to my problem.

1995 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Product C55344 - says no splice but I had to cut trailer lead off to fish wire to bumper and drill a hole in the passenger tail light bay to install on
1995 Ford F250.
Instructions are not model specific.
T connectors worked as they should.
Thanks

2003 Ford Explorer

Extremely easy to install. I also installed a 4 to 7 adaptor (30717) and a 7-way connector box (18159). All of this took 30 minutes to install and it looks and works great. I use etrailer for all of my cargo and trailer needs and recommend them to my family and friends.

by:

This hitch was better than I expected. It was much heavier and well manufactured. The video on the website explaining installation was easy to understand and made installation easy. This hitch and light accessories were far superior to those sold at UHaul and auto part stores.

  • Recommended Hitch for a 2002 Ford E-150
I checked with Draw-Tite and I can confirm that their Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch item # 41945 does indeed fit your 2002 Ford E-150. It is definitely going to be overkill for a bike rack but the rest do involve drilling and the prices are all comparable. I have linked an installation video to help you get it set up. We do not have the 41906 hitch but it does involve drilling according to Draw-Tite's website. If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C55344...

  • What Makes the etrailer Trailer Hitch Different Than Other Hitches for a 2003 Ford F-150
The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e92KR differs from the other fits for your 2003 Ford F-150 in that it has a matte black finish. This not only looks more rugged but is more durable than the classic glossy black finish we see with the other hitches. I really like this finish and recommend it as often as I can. If you don't already have trailer wiring on your truck then I recommend the Curt T-Connector # C55344 if you have a Flareside or SuperCrew or the T-Connector # C56031 if you...

  • What Hitch will Fit a 2003 Ford E-350 Cutaway Chassis
The Curt hitch part # 14055 will fit the cutaway models of the 2003 Ford E-350 if the bolt holes on the frame of the van are 38-1/4 inches apart on center. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.

  • Curt Towing Parts needed for 2002 Ford Ranger and How Loud is Magaflow Exhaust For It
We have all of the Curt towing components you mentioned individually but we do not have them as an entire kit. So we have the Curt hitch # 13138, the wiring # C55344, the ball mount # C45010, the hitch ball # C40002, and the pin and clip # C21500. The Magnaflow Catback # MF15679 is going to be noticeably louder than what you have but not to the point it would be annoying. If you fast forward to the 2:20 mark of the install video I attached for this you can hear the difference as well.

  • Install Video for 4-Pole Wiring for 2001 Ford F-150
Part # C55344 works for your 2001 Ford F-150. We do not currently have an install video for you to reference, but this is a straight forward install. You remove the driver side tail light, plug in the new harness, drop the rest of the wires down, run the green wiring to the passenger side tail light and make the connections there. I attached the instructions to help walk you through the process of getting the wiring installed.

  • Troubleshooting Curt Trailer Wiring Harness Functions Not All Working
Make sure all of the pins of the Curt trailer wiring harness part # C55344 are clean as that's typically what causes this problem. Other issue could be that the connectors are not seated all the way. To fix that you'd just need to disconnect and reconnect all of the connectors and that should take care of the problem.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver and Other Parts to Tow a Trailer with a 2000 Ford F-150
I've linked all of the available trailer hitch receivers that fit your 2000 Ford F-150. Of the selection I recommend the Curt # 13359. It's a complete bolt-on installation and fits both the standard and stepside trucks. It also allows the full-size 20 inch spare tire to remain in place. I've linked the install details for you. If you also need trailer wiring you can add a 4-way using # C56031 if you have a standard bed or # C55344 for a Flareside. These both plug in behind the tail...

  • Brake Controller Installation-2003 Ford Expedition
I don't have a vehicle specific wiring diagram for you, but I'd be happy to walk you through the process. The actual installation will depend on whether or not your Expedition is equipped with a trailer connector and if so, whether it's factory or aftermarket. There are a few different possible scenarios. 1) Your vehicle has the factory 7-way trailer connector on the back bumper. If this is the case, you'll have a plug and play installation. You'll need the # 3035-P brake controller...

  • Hitch Recommendation for a 2003 Ford Ranger with Body Lift
Yes, the Draw Tite Hitch part # 75082 that you referenced will fit your 2003 Ford Ranger with a 3 inch body lift. This hitch attaches to the frame of the vehicle so the lift kit on your truck won't affect the install. I attached an install video for more info. If you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. • Will Trailer Wiring Harness 20028 Fit a 1998 Ford F-150 without Factory Trailer Connector
To solve the problem of the dirty connections you can clean them, then use dielectric grease at the connections, # 11755, and then seal everything up using liquid electrical tape, # SWC50122. Another option is to replace the 4-Way you are using with either # C56031 for a non-stepside bed or # C55344 for a stepside bed. These connectors actually plug in line with the tail light wiring so you will not have to use quick splice connectors.

  • Custom Fit Trailer Hitch, Wiring, And Ball Mount For A 1999 Lincoln Navigator
For your 1999 Lincoln Navigator, I recommend taking a look at the: -Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13049. This trailer hitch has a maximum towing capacity of 6,000lbs, and a maximum tongue weight capacity of 600lbs, however I recommend taking a look at your owner's manual for your vehicle's maximum towing capacities, and ensure you're utilizing the lowest number between the hitch and vehicle. • Adding Trailer Wiring or Troubleshooting Only Running Lights Working on a 1997 Ford F-150 Connector
To add a 4-Way trailer connector to your 1997 Ford F-150 you can use # C55344. This harness plugs in line with the tail light wiring on the truck. It will provide left turn/brake lights, running lights, and right turn/brake lights. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you. • Adding a 4- and 7-Way Trailer Connector to a 1999 Ford E-150 Van
To add a 4- and 7-Way trailer connector to your 1999 Ford Van you will first install a 4-Way such as # 118344. Then, with the 4-Way installed you can install # ETBC7 to add a 7-Way and retain the 4-Way. I have included some links that show and explain the ETBC7 installation for you. These links also cover the installation of a brake controller. For a brake controller I recommend the P2 # 90885 because it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable.

  • Trailer Wiring Harness for 1999 Ford Escort Wagon
Because the 1999 Escort Wagon uses a separate bulb for the turn signals, and would need a taillight converter, the # C55344 would not be compatible with your Escort wagon. To combine the brake light and turn signal onto a single circuit like the lights on the trailer, you will need to use a hardwired tail light converter like the # 119178KIT. The wires on the input side of the converter would wire directly into the taillight circuits of your Escort wagon. The easiest way to access the...

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring Harness for Class C Motorhome on 1998 Ford E350 Van Cutaway Chassis
I would first spend a few minutes trying to trace the wires feeding that 4-pole trailer connector you found. If the white ground wire had come loose from its connection with the RV frame or chassis, it would explain why you're not getting any voltage at the connector. If that fails, you'll need to simply hardwire in a new trailer connector like part # 18002. The green wire would tap into the right turn signal circuit, the yellow wire into the right turn circuit signal and the brown wire...
