Installation

T-One Connection Location Points

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located beneath your vehicle, along the driver's-side frame rail.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

I bought the harness for an '89 F150. It was shipped quickly. It took about two minutes to install, including tying it to the frame, and it's a tight, weather-proof connection. My other option was $100 to a trailer store to splice into my wires. There is no comparison. I was really pleased.

by:

Product is such a time saver, i have installed wiring harnesses the old hard way by locating, testing the proper wire for signal.........such time consumer, this is easy awesome love it.
note also, most other places don't carry this for older vehicles
e-traile did and i'm grateful.

A perfect fit as guaranteed. After washing the years of crud off the factory harness of my 1994 Ford Supercab the plug-in adapter fit perfectly into place and by boat trailer lights worked beautifully.

You are the best!

I installed the trailer lights connecter adapter into the wiring harness at the rear of my 1996 Ford F-150 today. The wires were exactly were the instructions said they would be located. With some effort after engaging the relief clip I was able to pull apart the wiring harness. Installing the trailer light connecter adapter went easily. I only had to pull lose one wiring harness holder from the frame to give more slack in the wiring harness to make room for adapter to fit. After installation I tested the lights and everything (turns signals, tail lights and brake lights) all worked properly. The quality of the adapter looks great just like it was a factory original part. I expect to have properly functioning trailer lights for a long time now. Thanks.

The products I ordered were received timely, installed easily, and were made of quality material. I look forward to years of quality service from these items. The service staff members at etrailer are kind, courteous, knowledgeable. I would highly recommend etrailer for your trailering needs. The only recommendation for improvement would be to tweek your on-line order tracking system. I received the items before I could track their whereabouts through the on-line order tracking system. Thanks for the follow up. Grounding issues are usually the main problem with trailer lights intermittently working. Your trouble shooting and solution is exactly what we would recommend. If you need additional information here are some help articles that assist in identifying and solving wiring issues.

It works great and I recommend it to any of my friends that pull trailers.

by:
1994 FordF-150

Product works great and installed perfectly just as the instructions said it would. Install only took about 5 minutes and was super simple. I didn't need any tools except for a Flathead screwdriver in order to release the old crappy clips that were on my truck wiring harness. My truck didn't have a trailer light hookup when I bought it so this item worked perfectly for what I needed and was way easier than splicing wires and making my own. Defiantly worth it and would buy again if I buy another truck and it doesn't have trailer lights.

  • How Would EZ Connector Magnetic 7-Way Trailer Connectors with Built-in Seal # 319-R7-02 Install
If your 1994 Ford F-150 has a 7-way installed on it already the EZ Connector Magnetic 7-Way Trailer Connectors with Built-in Seal # 319-R7-02 will easily plug in line with it once you remove the 7-way from your truck's wiring and then plug this in place. Then on the trailer side you have to remove your current 7-way and then wire the trailer side connector in it's place.

I spoke with my contact at Curt and he stated that the Curt Trailer Hitch, # 14001, will fit your 1992 Ford F-150 flareside. I have included a link to the installation details below. Ok, so we do have a really good option for your 1991 F-350, and since you don't want a proportional brake controller that activates based on your truck's deceleration, what you will need is a time-delayed brake controller. What a time-delayed brake controller does is send out a pre-set amount of braking power, so if you are on slick roads like you mentioned and started to slide, when hitting your truck's brakes the trailer will still fully brake.
