Installation
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind your tail lights. You will have to remove the tail lights to access this harness. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed in an out-of-the-way location within your cargo area.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A tail light converter is built into this T-connector. This converter is a circuit-protected, battery-powered unit that bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness. As a result, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.
Curt builds each tail light converter using surface-mount technology (SMT). This method of construction involves soldering electronic components directly to the surface of a printed circuit board. SMT eliminates the need for leads, which are used in older through-hole technology. The result is a circuit board that is smaller yet provides more routing area and that offers superior performance, reliability and durability.
Circuit boards constructed using SMT have been shown to perform better under rough conditions with excessive vibration than those made using the through-hole method. And where would vibration be more likely to occur than in towing applications? Curt converters also produce less heat, leading to increased durability and longer life. In addition, lower levels of resistance ensure better performance, especially for parts that operate at higher frequencies.
Each Curt circuit board is made using high-quality components that are pieced together in the most technologically savvy fashion, leading to greater predictability and reliability in functioning.

Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your vehicle with this custom harness. T-connector plugs directly into existing wiring. Powered converter reduces strain on wiring system and is made using SMT to ensure superior performance.I haven’t had a problem with it since I had to modify the harness to work on my 2021 Chrysler Pacifica. I had to switch two wires to get all the lights on my utility trailer to work. It took several attempts to get ahold of someone who understood what the problem was.
I have installed a handful of Curt aftermarket vehicle wiring harnesses in various vehicles we have owned over the years. '98 Ford Ranger, 06 Hyundai Tucson, 2007 Tacoma, 2012 Subaru Outback and now this, our 2020 Chrysler Pacifica. etrailer is an awesome web store. Curt's stuff is pretty good. My only complaint with the product itself is that the actual wires are a little short. I had to really take the shortest distance between two points to reach both tail light housings while remaining under the car. It's like they used a tape measure to determine the length of the harness and just ran with it. I had to run the driver side wire (second one I ran) two times because the first time I went around the outside of a frame component and ran out of length. It seems like it would be relatively cheap to give you another couple feet of green wire for ease of installation...That's why I gave this product four stars.
The following is more of an indictment of Chrysler. I am compelled to write this out to save all the other Evening Driveway Warriors out there some time and aggravation. The installation of this wiring harness is diabolically hard. Start by removing the undercarriage panel at the back of the vehicle. There are like 2 dozen 8mm screws and 10mm plastic nuts. Next, pop the tail light out using a T27. Then you will need a fish tape. Don't try to pull the harness components all the way up from the ground through the opening in the tail light housing. It's a maze, you can scarcely see through this labyrinth. If light can't pass through, how are you going to jimmy through 6 wires with bulky connectors on each end?
Instead, remove the T27 screw near the rubber rear hatch bumper and pry the associated body component away. Then sneak your fish tape in down there. You should be able to see the driveway from up here. Once you get the harness component up to that point, it's fairly simple to fiddle the wires up through the opening under the taillight housing. If you try to do this in one step, there is a bunch of crap back there (factory looms, little steel bulkheads, plastic tabs) that WILL, I PROMISE, snag your harnesses and cause you unspeakable harassment. You'll pull hard to advance it, then find that it's jammed and you can't pull it either way! Learn from my mistakes and save yourself some time.
I ran the power lead under the car's undercarriage panels and up into the engine bay by taking more 10mm plastic nuts and 8mm screws out. I finished the job using a fishtape from above. There is plenty of black wire to be picky about where you run it.
This was an easy install. Especially if you go ahead and go out to YouTube and use the e-trailer video on how to install it. I can't speak to its longevity. But on the lights are up and working and I am stoked.

All is well a year later. I am glad I went with this easy hook up solution.
Although the area through the rear quarter of my 2020 Pacifica was tight, I was able to get the connector harness installed. Wire length was OK, but green wire could have been about 4 inches longer. This would have made control box placement a little more flexible. This is my second Curt product as I installed a trailer hitch and wiring harness on my 2009 Chrysler van 13 years ago. Easy install and great product!
The harness ultimately worked well, but it was most difficult to get installed. I spent 1-1/2 hours trying to fish the connectors into the left taillight well and found it impossible to squeeze through the extremely tight crevices using first a stiff 20 amp house wire, then a plastic tube as shown in the etrailer videos. Neither video indicated that this might be a struggle. I later bought a cheap fiberglass fish tool at [retailer] with several lengths that screwed together and was able to eventually fish both sets of connectors through as the stiff rods allowed me to spin and wiggle the taped connectors through a convoluted path. Between this and having to remove several undercarriage covers to fish the power line up to the vehicle battery I spent an additional five hours of time. I wish that videos had shown more of the potential difficulties and the necessity for a stiff fish tool to complete this job. I know they are pros who have done this job a few times, but the time-lapsed videos made it appear to be so easy. This review is to alert any other shade-tree mechanics what he or she will be getting into!

I have had no issues with the wiring harness since installation. As I rarely use my utility trailer during winter months in upstate New York, I seal the plug end in plastic and tuck it up behind the bumper to minimize corrosion due to snow, ice, and road salt.
Great price and products. The shipping package could be better. Nothing was lost from the box, good that the parts were taped to the hitch
Had no trouble with installing. Good di rections.

Working
Great quality and easy to install with detailed instructions and videos
did not get double sided sticky pad and installation video was incomplete. show the struggles.
Had to be shipped from a different location than the hitch, so it took a few extra days to receive, but it showed up in a reasonable timeframe and was packaged well. Worked on a 2022 Pacifica Hybrid with led tailamps.
You make great products and furnish exceptional customer support. Twenty stars if I had them!
Perfect fit and all the information I needed I resourced from the trailer videos
Product fit as described. The only reason I gave 4 star instead of 5 is I wished it would've came with 1 or 2 extra butt connectors. Good product, good fit, works great.
I purchased the trailer hitch from etrailer and they installed it for me. I am completely satisfied with both the hitch and the installation quality. When ever I need anything for my vehicle I always check in with etrailer FIRST. They're unbeatable.
Not happy. In about 6 months the left turn signal failed to work. Mechanic traced it to a fault in wiring harness box. Notified you of failure and you said I should contact the mfr directly. Sent them an e-mail describing the problem. Never hear back from them. Had to buy new wiring harness and install it.
Easy to install
The wiring met all my needs for my trailer and the individual who installed indicated it perfectly met the desired need.
Excellent fit. Working with no hoist on concrete floor took me 1 1/2 hr. working alone. Fit just as advertised.
——————-—————————————————————————————
Electrical wiring a bit more involved, a hoist would be good. The challenging part is running the 12 volt wire to the battery with the removal of the underbody panels required. Still excellent product.
Both videos helpful.
I have never had a bad experience with Etrailer or Curt, but this one I think has a defect. Power runs to the controller in the kit, right turn signal and hazards work, but not the left turn signal on the vehicle (Chrysler Pacifica). It is something in the pigtails on the left side. Either an improperly seated wire or a wrong mapping of the wires.
Nonetheless, I will have to get a new kit. The power (black wire) is staying, but I will need to get new parts from the controller on.

I am sorry to hear that. I have gotten in contact with the manufacturer and it does look like that is a defect. Let me get a replacement sent out to you right away.
My mistake the first one I ordered but thanks to the folks at etrailer I was able to purchase the rignt on and exchange the wrong one at the same time and get my hitch installed just in time, thank you etrailer!
This is a good wiring harness and worked well right off the bat after installation. It does requires some tricky work with fish wires that is quite difficult. Five stars for function, three stars for a rather difficult installation.
A bit of a challenge to install, but the available video is very helpful.
Hint: install this during the hitch installation, while the underbody panel is removed.
Great customer service-saved the family vacation with speedy turnaround on finding parts and fast delivery !!!
Everything that was needed was included. The service was GREAT!!!

It has been great and done exactly what we needed it to do. Thank you.
Product worked great, only thing I would add to make product a 5 star would be to include a snake for getting big connectors to the brake lights.
