Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your Chevrolet Traverse with this custom harness. Connector plugs directly into OEM tow package port - no cutting, splicing or tapping required.

Installation
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's factory tow package wiring harness, which is located behind the rear, passenger's-side wheel well trim panel.
You will have to locate and remove the (5) T-20 Torx screws with a T-20 Torx bit (not included) and pull back on the wheel well trim panel. It might be easier to access this connection if you remove the additional Torx screw holding the harness in place.
Once you've located the wiring harness, remove the protective cover and plug in the connector.
Once you've plugged in the connector, insert the included fuses and relays into their locations in the fuse box, which is located in the engine compartment.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plug on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

This seems to work great. I don't have a trailer but wanted to be prepared if I ever need to rent or borrow one. I tested using a multi-meter. I took the Torx screws out they recommended but could not get it apart far enough to reach the connector. I could not get the trim pieces off that was suggested in the video. Perhaps I needed a trim tool. I was able to lay under the car and reach the factory connector. I could hold both ends securely and pushed together until I heard a click. The picture supplied for fuse and relay placement was useless. No matter how I oriented it I could not make it look like mine. I attached a picture of my fuse box and labelled the locations with red wording. Also I could not get the relays to fit so I thought perhaps they sent the wrong kit as there were 3 relays and only needed 2. But turns out all I had to do was turn the relay 90 degrees. It seems like it would fit either way but would not snap down into place unless oriented correctly.
Actually a time consuming install. Very important to disconnect the battery ground. I didn't, and got a seatbelt and airbag alert. I disconnected the battery and waited 15+ minute's. Reconnected and all cleared. Routing the tail away from exhaust was a challenge, but found a very safe place between 2 frame channels of the bumper. It worked great. Thank you.
I received the hitch and wiring harness for my 2015 GMC Acadia yesterday (1-9-25). I started the installation process this morning at about 8:00 and had the hitch installed in about 40 minutes. Watch the videos, very helpful. Then it took me about 15 minutes to install the wiring harness, checked out the lights and everything works perfectly. The local shop wanted $160 to install hitch and wiring, so I made a few bucks in less than an hour. Oh, did I tell you I'm 75 years old and I completed this job without any assistance.
The tow hitch was great quality , fit perfect. My wiring was lost in transit bc shipper damaged box but etrailer rectified that immediately
As usual, great response time and service. The only thing about the kit is that it was short one 10amp low profile mini fuse, had an extra 30amp, so I just had to pick some up at the local auto parts store. Everything else went off without a hitch.
Thats kinda funny cuz of course I bought the hitch from etrailer as well, which fits and works great!
Thanks!

Everthing is still working great...no issues at all!
Installed on my daughter's Acadia and it was as described. Anticipated pulling a trailer but so far have not used it.
I haven't been able to get the trailer lights to work
This connector worked great! Make sure you really press the factory end together with the harness it takes quite a bit of pressure to make the connection.

The connector worked fine once I got the factory plug pushed in all the way, pretty awkward place to connect inside the rear fender on my 2013 Traverse.
Super easy install on a GMC Acadia! Plugged in and tied it to the hitch, done.
No issues. Works as designed in 2014 Ac adia.
Great product and easy 20 minute install
Hitch fit perfect. This one came perfect. No scratches or imperfections. I always order the though E-trailer. Fast shipping.
Installed the 75528 hitch and C56202 harness for my 2015 Buick Enclave over the weekend. The install was simple and the you tube videos were a big help. There could have been a little extra length on the wire harness, but overall plugged right into my existing connectors. The hitch is hidden and is clean after reinstalling the back cover. Overall very satisfied.

I havent used it much, but no issues so far.
Drug and play and added some fuses
Great product made specifically for the Chevy Traverse. Contains everything necessary for the electrical wireing except zipties and wire shield tubing. I tried many of the "OEM" harnesses from Autozone, O'Reilly's and Napa but they did not have the correct plug housing to match the factory plug up in the fender.
Wish I would have found this to start with or that a full package option with a hitch reciever was offered!

It worked great! We used it to move 2,300 miles. We had zero issues. Again, great product and better than the competitors!
Needed this kit for the hitch I purchased. came as expected. I decided in the end not to put it on as it is in the high 90's here in Florida. Just didn't feel like crawling under the truck. However I did talk to the mechanic shop that installed it for me and they said it is one of the easier after market hitches and wiring kits they ever installed. Also etrailer was great to deal with as well.

Piece of cake to install
The trailer hitch was easy to install, no problems. I had the trailer lighting hookup installed and it works great. Your products are great!

Product performs well!
Excellent product. Access to the vehicle connection was tight but with a little extra leverage was able to mate the connections. Owners manual and fuse/breaker cover diagram aided in the installation of the fuses and breakers. Works GREAT.

The hitch and wiring are great. No problems at all. Easy video installation and printed materials. I will come back if I need anything.
Purchase a hitch for our GMC Acadia about a year ago. It was easy to install and the directions were very easy to follow. We pulled an empty tandom axle car hauler from Vegas to Southern Arizona and the hitch worked perfect. But the main reason for the hitch was to add a hitch cargo basket to the back of the car when we travel and it works perfectly. Exactly what we needed. Thank you etrailer for this perfect item.
Product was shipped quickly and was well packaged.
All parts were in the package.
Installation was easy. Instructions were well written and easy to follow.

The products are still working fine.
Super! On the Traverse, the factory provides all trailer wiring at a connector in the right rear fenderwell. This harness easily plugs right into that connector, and is just the perfect length to bring the plug out to the hitch. I used the TrailerMate TM76470 mounting bracket on my Hidden Hitch 87435 receiver. The length of the wire harness is perfect -- reaches just right, without a bunch of extra wire to deal with. The harness includes relays and fuses to add to the factory fuse panel to utilize the factory harness. The instructions are incorrect as to where the battery of the Traverse is (under the floor behind front passengers' seat), and also where the factory connector is (right rear fenderwell), and the diagram for the placement of fuses and relays requires some studying (look in the lid of the factory fuse box - everything is labeled). You DO NOT have to remove the fenderwell to get to the connector -- reaching up there from below is easy. Look at eTrailer's help videos online -- this really is an easy product to install -- with no tools!
Product installed by U-Haul, and worked fine for about 7-8 months. After that all lights on my 2014 Buick Enclave no longer functioned. No brake, turn signals, or tail lights worked. Buick dealer nor U-haul would not work on the issue, and had to completely remove the product to get the lights working again.
DO NOT buy this product.
The Curt 56245 worked on our 2014 GMC Acadia without tow package. It allowed us to use the built-in factory installed wiring to power the tail and brake/turn lights. I like that a lot better than using a 2-wire harness that plugs into the vehicle lights and having to run and hookup a hot wire to the battery.
Installation was easy once I found good instructions. It is very easy to install.
Be aware, according to the Curt instructions the connector is on the drivers side, but it's actually on the passenger side. They also say that you have to remove the fender well, but that's not required. Due to these discrepancies I gave it 4 stars. The Tow Ready 118270 has much better instructions and I would have purchased it for that reason, if I had known it was available at the time.
There are a couple of things to be aware of when installing the harness (These would apply to either the Curt or the Tow Ready harnesses.).
First, the factory connector end is attached to the body and ours was turned sideways. It's relatively easy to turn it straight down so that you can plug the 8-pin connector into it.
Second, the space is tight, but I have large arms and was able to fit my hand and arm in the space near the wheel and maneuver the connectors.
Third, the connectors fit together tightly and I didn't get them completely seated together the first try, therefore the lights didn't work and I had to go back and completely seat them together. When seated correctly you should hear a little click and the back of the new connector retainer should be even with the end of the factory connector.
I routed the harness cable over the bumper bracket so it's out of the way of any hot and sharp parts. I also routed it above the square hitch tube instead of behind it due to the slight possibility of it getting damaged if the ball mount was inserted into the receiver too far or when removing the spare tire.
One more note; The ty-wraps (wire ties) that come with the harness are too short to go around the tube of the hitch. Just something to be aware of. I always have plenty of different sized ties so it wasn't a problem for me.
