This was my first time pulling my 20 foot CC boat and brand new trailer with my 07 Trailblazer which came with the factory installed tow package including the factory installed 7 pin connector for the lights. I ordered the wiring connector item as it had a guaranteed fit for my truck. I went to install it and initially thought it did not fit correctly as I was trying to attach it by flipping up the pin connector cover underneath the rear of my truck and putting it in there, this was wrong but I did not know it....briefly went and reviewed my truck manual but it did not go into any detail on how to connect the trailer wiring, went online and finally found out that I needed to reach behind the cover piece and squeeze in 2 tabs to release the tow truck wiring connector, this is what the Hopkins harness is designed to fit into and it worked perfectly. As I just did this I have no idea what the longevity of the wiring harness will be but it does come with a nifty little cover to protect the electrical pins. As I do not plan on using it that often I removed the harness to keep it safe and sound.

I store the device inside my truck and do not leave it attached to save it from the elements, so far one year later works perfect.
Perfect fit for my 2005 GMC Sierra! The 6 narrow pin male plug fit perfect into my 7 narrow pin receptacle on my truck. It gave me parking lights, brake and my individual turn signal lights all from the four pin trailer plug. Beware of internet re-sellers that say their #41155 will work if they are showing you 6 wide male pins that will not work. etrailer is the best! Super fast shipping, fantastic customer service and all at a great price! Thank you!

Fit perfectly the whole hitch and wiring install was a breeze.

product functioned as expected...... the round plug that fit the tow vehicle needed some slight modification.... after i year the grounding pin on the flat four plug fell out,.... simple enough fix....... still works great.

just as it should....
Told me all I had to do is plug it. Now I have to wire tge blue and red cable. My vehicle comes with the the 7 plug tow package. Was told to turn it into 4 plug all I had to do is plug it.

Thank you for leaving a review! The product page does say all you have to do is plug it in if you want a 4-pole connector. Which is true, you can just tuck those red and blue wires away unless you need the braking and an auxiliary power wire. It sounds like your trailer just has a 4-pole flat for trailer lights so you do not really need those 2 extra wires if that is the case.
The trailer wire harness for my 2014 Dodge Durango worked perfectly. It fitted into the prewired factory wire harness attached behind the bumper. I had to have the dealer program the vehicle for the lights to work. The dealer did not charge me for this service, since I was having some other work done on the vehicle they did it as a courtesy. Normally it cost about $50 to do the programming.
Hitch is on! Piece of cake to install, everything lined up perfectly. I ordered wiring for my car according to my cars build sheet stating that it was pre wired for a tow package but I'm unable to locate any type of plug in so I'll need to return the one I ordered and get the other type. Please advise me the best way to do that.
Ordered the Hopkins plug-in simple wiring kit with 4 pole connector (41155) for my 05 Nissan Titan. Received what I order very quick. Connected perfectly to my truck with out any issues. I was ready to attach my trailer and go fishing. It was exactly what I ordered.
The reason for three stars is that you'll need a relay tow package kit in order for it to work . It should come with the 4 flat plug for the trailer lights to work . Other that that simple plug & play done
4 stars is for quick delivery and easy ordering, I have not used the extension yet. But, thanks for everything that went so well so far.

I have used this many times. Very easy plug and play install and works well.
I have bought three different trailer hitches, wiring and other items.
Everything fit perfectly, the videos are excellent and the staff is knowledgeable,and patient with us do it ourselve customers.
Pricing is fair, so they deserve 5 Star rating.
Worked as it should. Only used with a small trailer. Good product as always with etrailer. If not good, they make it right.
Simply did what it was supposed to do. Unplugged the old wiring harness and replaced it with this new one.
Quick delivery and easy install. Didn't work and found out that if the towing package didn't come on the Grand Cherokee, you have to go to the dealership and have it programmed or "turned on" in order for it to work. No fault of etailer.
Harness was perfect length and all connectors were correct. Only difficulty was having big hands to access vehicle tow pkg plug.
THE HITCH FITMENT WAS PERFECT. THE WIRING HARNESS WENT TOGETHER EASILY. GREAT PRODUCTS, PACKAGED AND SHIPPED FAST.
I MAY PURCHASE ONE FOR MY VAN.

Plug in and works great. Took off the old plug that was all green with crud. Fit my truck just as ordered. All trailer lights work as suppose to.
I purchased a plug-in wiring adapter for my 2017 GMC Sierra. Great price, product arrived at my house quickly. Works fine, fits great, no problems. I'd recommend this company and product to anyone out there.

Quick delivery and product seems good. Connection to my Audi is not perfect, there is no snap lock on connection. Taped it together with electrical tape.
Sold me the wrong connector.
Bought it for a friends trailer, cut the 4way end off, wired it up, not knowing, and my buddy let me know that night.
Fast service though.
