WeatherShield HD possesses the same all-weather protection as the WeatherShield HP, but it is 40 percent thicker to provide the best cover in the Covercraft line for harsh environments. HD is built to handle extreme weather conditions and long-term storage with a 300-denier fiber construction that creates ultraviolet (UV) opacity. No harmful UV rays will reach the exterior or interior of your vehicle. The thicker fabric also protects your vehicle from scratches, dents and dings.

The patented "Epic by Nextec" finish prevents dust, dirt, tree sap, bird droppings and even acid rain from ever reaching your vehicle, yet is breathable enough to allow moisture or heat trapped under the cover to easily escape.

The fabric is highly water resistant, retaining less than 2 percent of its own weight in moisture during a rainstorm, and shakes off to dry in minutes.

HD protects your vehicle paint with a special encapsulation process that puts silicon polymers inside and around each fiber of the cover fabric, resulting in a soft "touch." The finish contains no laminates or surface coatings.

This single-layer cover features a high tensile strength in the wrap (width) and the weave (length) of the material for durability and is treated with inhibitors to minimize mold and mildew growth.

The cover features solution-dyed fibers that require no dyeing after weaving. This process ensures maximum fade resistance and is environmentally friendly, producing less wastewater and fewer carbon dioxide emissions than conventional dyeing processes.
