Choose the Right Cover for Your Climate

Adco Climate Map

The climate where you are storing your truck will help determine which cover to choose. This SFS AquaShed cover is designed for use in moderate climates as indicated by the northern (green) and central (yellow) regions on the map above.

Adco Pickup Truck Cover

This cover helps keep your truck dry and well protected when not in use. It features a 3-layer SFS AquaShed fabric to protect against sun, rain, mold, and mildew in a moderate climate. Elastic corners and a rope cinching system allows you to draw the cover in tight over your vehicle.

Triple-Layer SFS AquaShed Fabric

Adco AquaShed Top

The cover is constructed of triple-layer SFS AquaShed fabric. It is breathable to avoid growth of mold and mildew, and it prevents pooling to eliminate the build-up of ice. Additionally, the material provides UV protection to reduce fading, and it protects the roof from debris and other pollutants.

Elastic Corners and Straps Ensure Snug Fit

Adco Strap and Buckle

The cover is designed to fit snugly over your truck for a clean look and better protection from the elements. Elasticized corners grip your vehicle tightly, and they are reinforced to reduce wear and prevent tears and snags. Cinch ropes in front and back remove slack and reduce billowing.

Straps with buckles run beneath your vehicle to secure the cover in place. Once buckled, the straps can be pulled tight to ensure the cover is fastened and won't blow away with the wind.

Video Transcript for Adco SFS AquaShed Cover for SUVs and Trucks Review

Hi there, truck and SUV owners. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at Adco's AquaShed covers for trucks and SUV's. These are available in different sizes. So you want to make sure you get the appropriate one for your length of truck or SUV. The SUV models have two different sizes at 196 inches, as well as 220 inches. It's also available in three different sizes for trucks at 218 inches, 252 inches and 270 inches.

And that's just going to vary, depending upon if you have a short bed, long bed, extended cab, single cab, there's so many different options out there. So that's why we've got the various sizes to make sure that we get one that fits your particular vehicle. Adco's AquaShed covers are designed to protect your truck and SUV's in moderate climates as this one is designed to ensure that it doesn't hold moisture underneath the cover, which can cause mold and mildew and things like that on your vehicle. It's designed to allow it to breathe, but still keep all that off your vehicle. Allowing it to breathe will ensure that it's able to evaporate all that moisture without causing any kind of mildew, but still protect your vehicle from that moisture, the dirt and debris that's out there as well as harmful UV rays.

UV rays can over time deteriorate the paint and cause it to fade a little bit. So a cover like this is going to keep those UV rays off. It's going to keep that rain off of it. So you won't have to wash it so much. And it's also going to help protect against minor wind damage, things like that.

When you got leaves and small branches and stuff like that, that might blow by it, it'll help mitigate some of those smaller scratches. And the reason why this cover is so good for those moderate, wet climates is because of the way it's able to shed moisture. The fabric is a three triple layered fabric and each layer has its own kind of purpose to help protect your vehicle from those particular climates. The outer layer here will ensure that water beads up on it to prevent it from pooling up on your cover. One of the things that I did notice about this cover though, that does kind of keep it in that more moderate climate is that it's not very thick.

It is thick enough for like small leaves and branches, things that can cause just real minor surface scratches. But if we had a good hailstorm or anything like that, you would likely still have some dings on your vehicle. It is going to give you some protection because it's gonna to help disperse that impact, you know a little bit because we've got this cloth here. But if, if it's a pretty good size one, you're still likely going to have a little ding there. So just be aware of that, that it's not really an impact resistant cover. It's mainly for moisture and UV rays, things like that. And that goes taking pretty good care of ensuring that it fits around your vehicle and conforms to it. You can see we've got pockets here for your mirrors and they are quite large. So that way, if you had a towing mirror or anything like that on here, you could leave your towing mirror in place and still put this cover on to go over it. So they've got those oversized to allow for those modifications. You'll also notice down here towards the bottom, where it goes over our wheels, the cover actually dips down just a little bit in this wheel area. And then it kind of comes up a little bit when we get back towards the back here and you can see that it dips down again. So the cover is also kind of built-in wheel covers inside of our cover there. And to ensure that our cover stays in place, we've got a cinch rope that you can place at both the front and the rear of the vehicle. There's eyelets there with a metal ring in there. So that way, when you cinch this down, we're not going to damage our fabric. I like that they put those eyelets in there to ensure that it operates for a long time to come, especially when you get them high wind areas where it's tugging on it. It's nice to have that there. With the SUV cover, you'll just have the one in the front and then there are two different ones in the back. So you can pick the best one for your particular vehicle shape. If you have the truck version, there are three in the front in the back, and then you'll also have another one behind the cab above your truck bed. Pretty much right behind that rear window. You'll also have another set of these so you can cinch it there as well. Additionally, there are straps and buckles that run underneath the vehicle to ensure that your coverage is not just going to blow off in the wind. Covers like this are ideal for your vehicles that you don't drive every day. Your daily driver, you're probably going to park in the garage and you're going to be in and out of it. So you don't want to take this cover on and off every day, but for your vehicle that might be pulling your camper that you only use occasionally and you want to keep it nice. Those are usually pretty expensive vehicles. So when it's sitting at home, you can have this cover on it and you can free up garage space by just leaving it outside, protected from the elements with a cover like this. So you can enjoy all the space inside your garage at home. And that completes our look at Adco's AquaShed covers for trucks and SUV's..

We do not have a garage to house our pickup but we do have a tremendous amount of pine trees and other debris problems. Having this cover is a tremendous help in keeping our vehicle looking good and also keeping pine needles from causing clogging problems for grills, windshield wipers, etc. Hard to find the 270" and thrilled to be able to still purchase this and one for our jeep and at a reasonable price. Still looking good a year and a half since purchase.

Review from a similar SFS AquaShed in Covers

I bought a RV cover because I detected a water leak this fall and it was too late to have it fixed. I ordered the Adco cover and am pleased with the quality. I watched a video before putting it on and the video explained everything. As a result I was able to do the install by myself, and I am not a young man. We will see how effective it was next Spring. The ordering process and shipping were a breeze through etrailers.com.

Comments
I had a slight tear, but no big deal. Its a solid cover.

Review from a similar SFS AquaShed in Covers

I read mostly good reviews on the ADCO RV Cover (for a Northern Environment) and decided to purchase it. I followed the included instructions including covering 4 rain gutters spouts on my Travel Trailer with the included "socks" made from the same fabric as the cover. I also covered additional potentially sharp objects (i.e. folding steps) with cardboard and foam prior to installing the cover. I then installed the cover. Two weeks later I was notified that the cover on my travel trailer had rips and holes in it. One rip happened on both sides on one corner of trailer. The 2 other holes were located near the trailer's gutter downspouts. Ironically, the socks covering the downspouts were intact but the actual cover had stress rips in the fabric. I patched the stress rips with the included patches but they did not hold. I like the lightweight feature of the cover's fabric but it needs to be more durable to handle the stress of the wind over those highpoints. I am working with the company for a replacement because they won't refund my purchase.

First, I wish we would have purchased this years ago... live and learn. Second, the cover is TOP QUALITY! Took a bit over an hour to put on, but that was being meticulous and also working with the gutter balls/covers (bought separately). The cover fits our 2018 395M with the right amount of slack. We do keep our unit stored, but it is not covered. We tend to get baking sun and buckets of rain, so this cover will do what it is meant to do and protect our unit from the elements. If you're reviewing multiple ones, I can attest, this is a good cover!!

Review from a similar SFS AquaShed in Covers

This is my second purchase of this model of the Adco cover. The first one lasted 6 winters in western Co enduring wind, rain direct sun and snow. Very impressed with the quality/price. Looking to buy a new trailer in the next few years so ordered the max on length for my 22’ model and this fit perfect and will fit a longer trailer when need it. Delivery was better than Prime. I called ETRAILER to verify price and person was very helpful and received confirmation minutes after call and received order in 2 days. This picture was after a storm a few days ago with a nervous night of sustained 20mph winds and gusts of 40-50mph. Perfect. Purchased 7 days ago.

The first Adco cover i’ve bought was about 10 years ago was for my Winnebago motorhome which was of excellent quality. The latest cover that I just purchased was for an 18 foot travel trailer it also is of excellent quality and value it fit perfectly and I do mean perfectly very easy to put on has plenty of straps and made of quality material. My experiences with Atco covers I have to say is first rate.

Love this cover for our 24 foot Forest River Sunseeker. This is our replacement cover for the exact same cover which orignally was purchased on [online] 4 years ago at almost double the price. Purchased this cover for an excellent price on etrailer. Shipping did take much longer than expected but worth the wait. Love the carry bag it comes with. We won’t use until after wildfire season in California is over, if ever!! We don’t want any flying embers to burn our cover.

Review from a similar SFS AquaShed in Covers

I purchased this cover for our Lance Travel Trailer, and left it in storage for 3 months. The cover still looks like new. It seems to be very high quality, and I think it will last for at least 3 or 4 more years, maybe longer. It affords access as there are zippered doors that open and roll up. The storage bag that comes with it is of lighter material and has a small tear from riding in the back of my truck.

Comments
the cover is still much like new, no problems, we keep it in the bag when not in use.It is currently on the trailer beside my garage for much of the winter.

Review from a similar SFS AquaShed in Covers

This is my second Adco cover for my 2019 Entegra (Jayco) 25R class c motorhome. The first one was the more expensive all climate and wind model. I got two years out of that cover before it gave way in too many locations to be able to patch. This time around I opted for the cheaper SFS aquashed. I believe the side fabric is the same as the more expensive model, however the top of the more expensive model seems to have an additional white layer of material. Only time will tell how this cover holds up. I will definitely update this review to let others know how things go. I can say that this cover is much easier to install since it lacks the numerous corner buckles that did not seem to work anyways. Overall it seems to fit much better than the more expensive model. I was disappointed though that it did not come with tire covers like the more expensive model did. Had I known that, I would not of thrown away the tire covers that came with the more expensive model. I know there is always a lot of controversy of whether to cover your motorhome or not. Having used a cover for the past two years, I am definitely of the school of thought that using a cover is best. I have never incurred any damage to my motorhome

Review from a similar SFS AquaShed in Covers

I am very satisfied with this cover for its cost.  We had the same one three years ago and it was destroyed by our backyard squirrel population that lived in the tree it was parked under.  Well now we have a paved drive away from the tree so we ordered another one.  The model was the same but in the last three years the company has made some additional features that improve the quality and durability over the earlier one. It is made for a small range of sizes but we were able to tighten the fit with the adjustable straps to get a good snug fit.  My only suggestion would be if the side flap zipper went a little higher so that it would clear our door for occasional access it would be more convenient.

This is a great cover. Easy and lightweight to put on. I ordered one that was a couple feet larger so that I can cover the front hitch and cable area. The zippers allows me to get into the trailer and tack room without taking the cover off.

The cover does it’s job. There were three places where it has already ripped in only a year. One place was my fault but difficult to prevent. It ripped where the drip tray ended. I had to tape some cardboard over the edge to prevent further damage. Be sure to cover all pointy edges. Which it does say that in installation directions but the drip tray isn’t “sharp” in my opinion but it was definitely enough of an edge to cause a hole. The other two were at rounded corners and should not have ripped. They were at a corner of the trailer and a running board and there was a part of the cover stretched to turn a corner. I haven’t reinstalled for the year but I am hoping I can repair the damage and reinforce the corners to use it again.

We’re covering a pontoon boat for the winter with this cover. It fit great! We stretched it a bit too much over the front ladder and the wind and the withering ripped it. Our bad, but the breathable fabric couldn’t withstand the stretch and wind/rain strain we put on it.

Comments

Cover arrived well packaged is a universal size so had alot of cover to the back of my 32' fifth wheel. I originally had the cover over the rear bumper. When the wind blew causing the cover to easily tare where the cover touched the end of the bumper. The cover material is rain repellent but not cut or tare. Adco was great about sending a replacement

Comments
1 year later cover is still holding up well. Still water repellent

Review from a similar SFS AquaShed in Covers

Received my order (Adco SFS AquaShed Cover for Travel Trailer - Up to 18' - Long - Gray) by way of UPS. It was lighter than I expected, which is a good thing because heavy things are a challenge for me. I took it out to the trailer to install, but first I removed my radio antenna and covered my TV antenna with a cardboard box in order to prevent damage to either them or the cover. Next, I proceeded to drag it atop the trailer. I probably should have waited until I could find someone to help me because I am 78 years old and partially disabled, but I was able to get it installed with the help of a couple of quality stepladders. None of the installation was exceedingly difficult, and I was completely finished in a couple of hours. Two or three people could have it done in about a half hour. I was able to attach the straps underneath by using an automotive creeper because my trailer is on a concrete pad. I am totally pleased with the cover. The zippers on the passenger side have already given me access to the inside of the trailer several times. Customer service at etrailer has been superb. The accompanying photo is on a 27°F night with two small space heaters in the trailer. All water is drained out. Snug as a bug in a rug.

Review from a similar SFS AquaShed in Covers

Hello, I just unwrapped and installed my new ADCO cover and I can't even begin to tell you how disappointed I am with this cover. I have purchased and used at least 5 covers over the last 15 years and the quality of this cover doesn't even compare to the old ones. Right out of the box the buckles are so cheap compared to the past. 2 are broke and 3 won't even clip in and latch. I want to pull this off and send it back right now, but it took quite a bit of time to put on. I'd like some direction on what to do at this point. I'm not happy at all and there are defective straps/buckles from the start. Who is going to cover the cost of sending this back? Also, since its completely unfolded it will probably not even fit back in the box. Also, how do I voice my concerns to ADCO?

The cover is Nice. Has a Great color and design on it. It does a grwat job in keeping the camper clean through winter. Only flaw I can find in this cover is how thin the cover is is areas. It something pushs to hard against it it will tear. I think it was over priced for the type of material. It would be worth $130.00 but not any more. It does help the camper breath as stated but needs to be a little more durable design wise. Would I buy another one? Probably not for the amount I paid for this one. I would look for a different cover made out of material that is a little more durable. You just have to be so careful with this type of cover. You have to watch when you pulling on it so that it doesnt snag over any sharp edges that would cause it to tear.

It does the job, but is very lightweight. Even with the "socks" for the gutters, small rips started in the corners. There are plenty of straps to make sure that it doesn't blow around and shift, but it doesn't seem to have been enough. But it keeps the dirt off the trailer and makes it easier to keep clean, so in the end it's better than no protection. We have taken it off for one more winter camping trip. After that I hope to bring it someplace warm to patch the corners before putting it back on until April.

Comments
We recommend putting foam blocks or pool noodles around sharp edges and corners so that the cover doesnt get penetrated in the wind.

Just received my TT cover and installed it today. With the help of my wife and daughter, we rolled it out and covered our RV and it only took about 30mins total time. My only con: the connecting latches are plastic and some connected better than others bc their plastic! Big pro: the cover fits great and looks good. Our toy hauler has a 30’ box with a total length of 34’. I got the 30-33’ size. I would recommend the cover.

I've had the cover going on two years now, with no issues or complaints. The cover is in use mostly during the winter months in western Washington, so not extreme weather at all. The cover remains free of tears, fading or issues with tie down straps. Overall, very happy with the product and would definitely buy again when the time comes.
