Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.
The cam-lock buckle on this multipurpose tie-down lets you cinch the strap around bundles or secure trees to stakes for landscaping. When you want to loosen the strap, push down on the cam buckle to release its grip and then pull the strap through. The cam-lock mechanism offers quick, easy operation, and it helps prevent overtightening.

Today we're taking a look at the Snap-Loc cam buckle cinch strap. Now this heavy duty cinching tie down lets you secure cargo to your truck bed, trailer, or ladder rack. It features a hook and loop strap wrapper, which keeps your excess strap in place. What you do is any excess strap that you have, you can roll it up, place it in here, bring the fastener over, and it hooks together. That will secure any excess strap that you might have. That's going to help prevent any unused strap from tangling or flapping in the wind as you travel down the road.
It's also great for storing the strap when it's not in use.Right here we have the cam lock buckle, which holds the strap tight over or around your gear. The plain end feeds through the buckle. That way you can easily cinch the strap over or around your cargo. Once you have it in place, all you've got to do is pull on that free end and that's going to tighten the strap around your gear. Now the neat thing about this buckle is it has these little teeth in here that grab onto the strap without damaging it.
That prevents it from being able to back feed from the buckle. What you need to do when you're ready to loosen the strap, you just press the release lever and then you can bring the strap back out.Really nice, easy to use design. This is a durable steel buckle with a powder coat finish to resist rust and corrosion. We're looking at a durable polyester webbing on the strap. It's WSTDA certified and the product is made in the USA.
Now this strap measures one inch wide by four feet long, has a safe working load limit of 500 pounds with a maximum load or break strength rating of 1,500 pounds. Just note that tie down straps need to be chosen according to their safe working load limit, so the weight of your secured cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the straps being used. That's going to do it for today's look at the Snap-Loc cam buckle cinch strap.

Heavy-duty, cinching tie-down secures pipe and lumber for transport or holds trees to stakes for landscaping. Cam buckle keeps strap tight over your payload, and strap wrapper prevents unused webbing from flapping in the wind. 1,500 lbs Max load. The metal cam lock is strong with good plating. The strapping material on the other hand is too soft, loose weave, and easily frayed when you have to separate it from coming in contact with the velcro-type strap storage feature. Probably will provide minimal service life. 829384
