Note: Do not use for overhead lifting. This load binder is designed to work as part of a complete tie-down system. The overall capacity depends on the safe working load limit (WLL) of the chain(s) that you choose, as well as the capacity of the load binder itself. The item being tied down must not exceed the combined WLL of the lowest-rated components in the system.

Hello, neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Durabilt Ratchet Chain Binder with cradle grab hooks for 5/16 to 3/8 inch chains, rated at 8,800 pounds. So folks, I wanna start off with talking about these hooks. So they are what they call cradle grab hooks. You'll see this little ledge here on both sides, that's gonna make it a lot easier to grab the chain and everything, and then just, you know, put it where you need to. It is a ratcheting chain binder, and it does have the spring-loaded pole where you can change directions as needed by simply pushing that down and using it whenever you need to go, whichever way you need to go.
Now, this is easy to use and it's a safe alternative for like the lever binder models that can have severe recoil if they just kinda slap open the binder here. The ratchet system's gonna save you from having that just free spin out under pressure. The ends are zinc plated, they're forged steel. The cradle grab, like I mentioned, on both sides of the hook give you a nice handheld. And they use what's called a flat throat shape here inside that hook itself.
It's got extra width for the chain link support. Everything here is a nice high-strength forged steel. It's an oversized barrel or ACME screw system here. So when you're ratcheting, what's happening is, these guys are threading in and out of this main shaft, and that's what's pulling that chain tighter or loosen it up whenever you're ratcheting. It's got a nice heavy-duty, very, very visual red powder coat that's gonna give you rust resistant, corrosion resistant on the exterior.
I'll throw up some dimensions on here while I'm talking about all the certifications. It's got FMCSA 40, CHP, CVSA, WSTDA, and DOT standard. It meets all those standards out there for safety, and then tested to reach those standards as well, so you can ensure it's safe to use. The whole thing only weighs about 13 pounds. That's gonna wrap it up for our quick look at the Durabilt Ratchet Chain Binder with cradle grab hooks on the ends.
I'm Steven, stay safe out there while you're towing.
