Hi everyone, Adam with etrailor.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the progrip axle ratchet straps. These straps are going to come in a pack of 2 and they're going to have a working load limit of 2,000 pounds and a maximum break limit of 6,000 pounds. The ones we have here are going to be about 7-foot long and they're going to be an inch and a half wide. These are going to be great for doing what they're doing now and just securing your side by side down to your trailer. Whether you're using an axle strap or not.
These can use, these will be able to be used in just your normal applications, but also if you have an axle strap that goes around your back axle, you can clip those to them, as well. We do have a grade eight coating on our hooks here and we do have a little safety lock, as well. You can be rest assured that these aren't going to come undone to our D-link here, just because once you put it around there, it's going to prevent it from backing back off. These are going to have a nice coating on them, on both this mechanism and the main handle here, so that's going to help your hands from getting really cold. A lot of times when they are just bare metal, it's not necessarily the best thing for your hands, a little nippy, but they're going to work like a normal ratchet strap just pull this down but it actually has a back-off technology. As you can see, this tab right here, it's going to be part of that back off technology and what we can do is pull it a little bit and we can actually back it off one piece at a time. These go like so, back it all the way off and as you can see we're able to actually loosen that just by opening that up a little bit and that will be enough hopefully after a couple of turns to be able to get this completely loose.
As you can see there, you can back it off tooth by tooth or you can just do it like normal and just pull those through to get it all loosened up. So these straps are designed to work with actual straps, as well or you can use them like normal too.The designs of the hooks are going to be ideal for wrapping around an axle, whether it's a side by side axle or car axle, it'll work about the same, but an actual strap does not come with the kit, so be mindful of that, but we do sell some here at etrailer.com, and as you can see it goes over there super nicely and you can go ahead and strap it down. This is definitely going to be a little bit more safe for the side by side. It's not going to damage anything cause it kind of spreads out all of that pull strength. The straps that I picked today we're the 7-foot long ones just because I don't need a whole lot of strap to get my side by side tied down to my trailer, but for your other applications, they do have thicker ones and the longer ones with more or less weight capacity. Let's go ahead and grab yourself some ratchet straps that's going to fit your particular needs..

Ratcheting tie down strap lets you secure a vehicle to a trailer for transport. Snap hooks attach to axle straps with D-rings and connect to trailer anchor points. Ratchet can be used in reverse to release tension step-by-step. 6,000 lbs Max load.purchased a set of these to tie the rear of my side x side to the trailer while hauling. While making a 60mile travel to atv park i had to stop twice and restrap the right and left side down. Side x side weighs aproximately 2800lds and used 1 on right side and 1 on left which should've easily got the job down. Kept slipping loose. Will no longer use.
Had a tear in one strap. Probably my fault but disappointed that it happened to the strap the first time I used it.
I haven't used these straps but I am pleased with their appearance, especially with the closing loops instead of open ended hooks. The open ended hooks can bounce off when holding down a motorcycle with lightly compressed suspension.
Work good at holding my Polaris Range 900 from shifting during short trips. Found they loosen up some during long trips.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry for the troubles with this item. You can tie the excess strap in a knot right underneath the ratchet to keep from slipping.
