Note: Tie-down chains must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the chains being used. For example, if you are using chains with a WLL of 4,000 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 8,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 chains to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use chains in pairs.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this 10 foot long Durabilt transport chain with the grab hooks on each end and has 11,300 pound working load limit. Now, this transport chain is for tie-down, binding, towing and construction use. It'll let you secure heavy loads for transport and it's ideal for vehicle hauling and towing. Now, a grade 70 transport chain like this is not designed to be used for overhead lifting.
And a grade 70 chain is heat-treated carbon steel, which is very durable. And you can see the whole chain has a nice, yellow zinc plating to resist corrosion. Now, on this chain, it does use the half inch size grab hooks on each end. Makes it very easy to connect to your anchor points. And this chain is manufactured to NACM, CCMTA, and the Department of Transportation requirements.
Few specs on this, again, the length is 10 feet length. The link thickness on the chain is half inch. And again, the safe working load limit is 11,300 pounds. Now, one note I do wanna mention on the working load limit is tie-down chains like these must be chosen according to their safe working load limit 'cause the weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the chains that are being used. So, just to give you an example, if you're using chains that have a working load limit of 4,000 pounds each and you're tying down a load weighing 8,000 pounds, then you're gonna need at least two chains to safely secure that load.
And it is always recommended that you use your chains in pairs. But that should do it for the review on the 10 foot long Durabilt transport chain with the grab hooks..
