For example, if you are using chains with a WLL of 4,000 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 8,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 chains to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use chains in pairs.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this six foot long Durabilt front axle tie-down assembly with the omega link. Has a 7,100 pound working load limit. Now, this chain is designed to wrap around the front axle of your vehicle to secure it for transport. It is grade 80 tempered steel construction, which is very durable.
And I wanted to zoom in, on this end, we had mentioned, it has this half inch size omega link which is attach, attached to this coupling link. And this allows the chain to pass through, so you can easily loop the chain around your axle. Basically, if you take the other end, you can put it right through that omega link, and that'll allow you to wrap that chain around it on the axle. Now, this is manufactured to NACM 96 specifications. Again, the length on this is gonna be six feet.
Safe working load limit is 7,100 pounds. The link thickness they use on this chain is 3/8 of an inch. And the total weight of this whole chain with the link on it is about just under 10 pounds, about 9.87 pounds.
