Video Transcript for Review of Coghlans Camping Tools - Mallets - Multi-Tools - CG65ZR

Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we'll take a look here at our Coghlan's rubber mallet with a peg puller at the end here at etrailer. So when you're out camping and you have your tent, or if you're car camping, and you have an awning on your vehicle, more often than not, you're going to have to put down or stake down some stakes or pegs just to secure your tent or your awning. Now I've done a lot of that here at etrailer, and what's been very, very helpful is a rubber mallet. And what's also been helpful is a peg puller. So it's nice to see how they did a little bit of a two and one thing right over here.

So let's take a look at this mallet. You can see here on the end that you have this rubber. Now this is going to be hard rubber, not an elastic one. And that's going to make sure that it's light enough where it doesn't become a burden inside your backpack or in your car. But it's also strong and durable enough to drive down those stakes.

Here in the center, you have this wooden hammer or this wooden handle, and this is going to be a little bit of a lightweight wood right over there. It's a nice, good grip that we have on our hammer, which is going to be helpful as we drive down those stakes. Then at the end, you have this steel hook, which is going to act as our peg puller. So after you drive down your pegs, when you're ready to strike your tent, you just pull out those stakes with this steel hook. So we'll take some measurements just to see if this fits inside your bags or in your car or in your tent.

So the measurement for the handle is going to be nine and a quarter inches long, the wooden or sorry, the rubber mallet itself is going to be about three and a quarter inches long. Now for the diameter of the mallet, it's going to sit at about two and a quarter inches wide. When it comes to the diameter. You also have this small steel hook, which is going to sit at one and a half inches long, right over there from end to end of the hook. So all in all, I think it's a great idea to have both the peg puller and the mallet as a two in one tool.

Here at etrailer, I've even used our work hammer sometimes to drive down the stakes. So this is nice because it's a lot lighter than the work hammer and that wide diameter for the mallet is helpful to give you a bit more traction or a bit more force as you drive down those stakes. I do recommend checking out our stake options as well here at etrailer, just make sure you have all the equipment you need for a great adventure. Whether you're going tent camping, or car camping, you want to make sure that none of those, would it be your tents or your awnings fly away in the end, or in the wind. So that was a look at our Coghlan's rubber mallet with peg puller here at etrailer. My name is Evangeline, and I hope this helped you out..
