Video Transcript for A Closer Look at the Tire Table Tailgater Tire Table

Hi, everyone, I'm Evangaline here at Etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at the TailGater Tire Table, specifically the small aluminum table. If you're looking for something that is lightweight, easy to carry around, but also real easy to set up, this is a table that goes on over the tire of your trailer, your vehicle, or even your four-wheeler. So with this here now, have a reliable spot to, let's say heat up some water, make some coffee, prep your breakfast, or just hang out for the day. This is available on different sizes, as well as different materials right here at Etrailer. So we'll talk about some of the different features.

That way, you can figure out which one's gonna be the best fit for you and your adventures. Now, this is the small aluminum table, which is great because it is gonna be a lot lighter, a lot more portable, easier to store, but is also good for your smaller vehicles, teardrop trailers and four-wheelers. Some of the downsides to it though is that it does have a maximum weight pass, you have 50 pounds. So if you're planning on setting up an entire prep station, might not be the best fit for that. But for your smaller applications, like coffee, boiling water, or just chilling by yourself or with another person, this will be more than sufficient.

For the surface of the table, it's gonna be this aluminum grate. Now, in terms of feel, this does feel really smooth because of that powder coat on top of the aluminum. You've also got a really good balance here for your opening, where it's open enough where all the crumbs and debris can fall through, keeping this clean longer, but close enough where while my fingers do fit through the grate opening, I'm not worried about losing things like a spoon or fork utensils through the table. With this being the smaller of the higher tables, it also means you just have a slightly smaller footprint there. So for your dimensions of your usable space, that's gonna be at 19 inches by 23 1/2 inches.

You have these rounded-off corners so they're not caption on the table. I have some things out here, like our percolator, our stove, a plate. You have a little bit more space. You can see how if it was just me and a friend out camping, this would be sufficient, but if I had a whole party out, I'd definitely be grabbing the larger of the tables for that capacity. The way this table supports all those different items is you have some different touch points.

So if you we inchesre to just lean a little bit against the table, even give it a good hit, you can see how well it holds everything up. Please don't use this as a step or a seat, not designed for that. So for your first support, goes around the tire. That's adjustable for different tire sizes. Maximum of 40-inches-tall tires. Next, you have these legs that go up against the side wall of your tires, giving most of that support. You also have an optional third leg here, and this will go down to the ground or up against the tire. Now, the smaller tire table does have a little bit of limitation for how far that leg can go. So you do sometimes have to get creative with using it or just choose not to use it at all, whichever makes the most sense for you. That is just an optional spot. Now, I've worked with the steel versions of these higher table, and while some people really like them, my main downside to them was that I didn't really enjoy carrying it around all the time just 'cause it was on the heavier side, and I like to load up my hands with all the things all at once. So here with the aluminum, it's super lightweight, which also makes it a lot easier to pack up. All the pieces to your table are stored on the carrier. From your legs that go on the tire, those just store up top. They utilize little push buttons to notch into all their positions. They also have just tread patches for the spots that come in contact with your tire. On the sides of the table, you have these adjustable jam nuts, which allow you to just move the tire hoop up and down, or completely store it up against the table. Whenever you need to make those adjustments, you just loosen and then tighten it back down when it's in the spot you like. The steel carriers, I always recommend also getting the carry bag for those, just to keep the table safe and make it easier to carry around. But the aluminum carrier, so easy to haul around. And that tire hoop makes its own little handle when not in use. And you can just store this in a spot in your vehicle or in your camper. But if you do want a carry bag that is available here at Etrailer, TailGater Tire Table has actually been around for a while, and you can really tell in the intentionality behind their products. Their steel tables have held up for a good amount of time. And with this table being made of aluminum, you know it is designed to be outside, in the elements, on your tires, things like that. There's also some other smaller things like how they include this hook and loop strip, or strap, and you just hook around your steering wheel of your vehicle. That would be a visual reminder not to (laughing) drive away with the tire table attached. So because it's so easy to go on there and it's pretty easy to miss, it is something I appreciate them adding to the table as an extra security precaution. So with that in mind, hopefully this video helped you out with seeing if this is the right fit for you. If it was just me and my friend going for a camping trip, I would definitely grab this. If I had more people on the trip, I would go ahead and grab the larger table. Very similar features, same construction, just more weight capacity and larger space. So if you have any questions, check out our product pages. We have all the specs, measurements and description up there to help you get the best fit. But today, this was a look at the small tire table from TailGater Tire Table right here at Etrailer. My name's Evangaline. I hope you enjoyed this journey.
