Hi everybody, my name is Andy with etrailer.com, and today we're taking a look at this GSI Outdoors macro table. Now this compact yet sturdy table is adjustable, and it would be ideal to take along with you on your backpacking trip, or maybe on your camping trip, especially to use at your campsite as a food prep station, or maybe even to serve food from. This would also make a really good side table to put along the side of a piece of furniture to use as extra storage, maybe even to play some games on. There's just many different ways that you can use this lightweight, compact, adjustable table. Now you're probably wondering, well, where exactly is this table Well, it is in this really nice nylon storage bag that it comes with. And as you can see, this has a nice drawstring with a cord lock that's gonna keep the table secure.
It also has this nice strap that you can either throw this over your shoulder or just carry it, and it's just gonna make this very convenient to transport. Now, what I wanted to do was just kind of walk you through getting this table set up. So I am going to open up this nylon bag and just pull this table out of the bag. And as you can see, it pulls away almost in like an accordion style, real nicely. It also comes with these elastic cloth-like bands, that's going to hold it together inside the storage bag, and so I would recommend using those bands.
Let me remove those bands here. And I'm gonna set this aside and go ahead and we're gonna set this table up together. So I'm just going to unfold this table. And as you can see here, there are rods that are stored here, and it can be kind of rattly when they're in there, so I'm gonna just take them out of these clips. They kind of remind me of old fashioned radio antennas.
And so I'm gonna just remove these from the clips and there are the rods that's gonna provide stability for this table. Now, as you will notice when those rods are not in this table, it can be kind of unwieldy, so just be aware of that. So probably the most difficult part of setting this table up is going to be running these through these holes here. So I'm just gonna go ahead and just kind of work these rods through each plank of this table. Got that first one in, and I'll go ahead and run this one through.
So this table is made out of aluminum. It's gonna be very lightweight, very sturdy. I did notice that it can scuff easily, so just be aware of that, because of that aluminum finish, that can happen. So I'm gonna just go ahead and begin opening these legs. I want you to notice, hopefully you can see this here, that these rods have a little bit of a notch there and the leg will close over that notch to lock that rod into place on both sides of this table. So I am gonna go ahead and flip this over. Now, as you can see, the table is nice and sturdy because of those rods that are providing that support. So I am gonna flip this table over and just kind of give you a view of the top of this table as best as I can here. So let me go ahead and give you some measurements while we are at this level. I'm gonna pull out my tape measure here, and I'm gonna begin by giving you the length of this table. So we are sitting almost 24 inches. I'm gonna say that this is right at about 23 1/2 inches long. And then in regards to the width of this table, we're sitting right at about 18 3/8 inches wide. And again, this is an adjustable length, or height, rather, table. So at the first level we are sitting at and I'm measuring from the surface the table will be setting on, we're sitting right at 8 1/2 inches tall at the first level. So let me go ahead and expand this and make this table a little bit taller. So the best way I have found is just to turn it upside down and then I'm going to pull out the second portion of these legs and they just fold right out. And let me go for a wider view here and there is our table. So again, very lightweight and very sturdy. And I'm gonna give you a final measurement here of the height. We're gonna be setting right at almost 15 inches, we're gonna be sitting right at 14 3/4 inches tall when it is fully extended. Now this aluminum is heat resistant and flame resistant, and this does have a limited lifetime warranty. Now this weighs a little over four pounds altogether, and this has a capacity of 20 pounds. So you wouldn't want to stand on it, even though it's lightweight and sturdy, the weight limit is gonna be set right at about 20 pounds. Now it's very easy to set up as you can see, and to break it down, it's real simple. You'll just fold these legs in and remove the rods. And I run these rods right through these legs and the legs do have to be closed to put these rods back into place. We have these clipped together again, as you can see, and then I'm just going to fold this up. The planks are held together by like a, a bungee cord here, as you can see. And then all I have to do is put that back in the bag and we are good to go. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today at this GSI Outdoors macro table. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..
