Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the GSI Outdoors Cutting Board. This is a nice cutting board that's going to allow you to prepare your meals out at the campsite. It's going to give you a nice solid surface to cut your fruits, vegetables, and meats safely. This does have a polyethylene material, so it's going to hold up well. It does have just a slight little give to it, but it is very lightweight, pretty compact while still giving you plenty of space.
So, it's not going to take up much room in your backpack or in your motor home, but it's still going to allow you to prepare those meals for yourself and anyone else that you have with you at the campsite. It is going to be dishwasher safe because it is that polyethylene material. Now I have heard some reviews say that it will warp slightly if you put it in the bottom rack of your dishwasher. So, maybe be a little wary of that. I would probably be for myself. But it is going to hold up well to very serious handwashing at the campsite so that you can be sure to get it nice and clean before you use it again.
It does have the built-in handle here, so it will be easy to transport, and carry your chopped up food over, put it in the fire wherever you're using your cooking utensils and such form. So as far as our dimensions, this is going to be right about 15 and three quarters of an inch long. Right about nine inches wide. And it is three eighths of an inch thick. Kind of hard to see what this tape measure.
As far as our cutting area here, you can see, we do have like a smooth outer rim here. That's not going to have any texture to it.And then, and our inner area does have a nice texture. That inner cutting area is going to be right about 13 inches by eight inches. So will give us lots of room there and you can see it does have a little bit of a lip to help keep all the juices and different things in there on that cutting area. It can be flipped over and used on the backside too.
So if you wanted to keep all your meat juices and everything on one side, and then still use the other side for vegetables, fruits, those sort of things that you can do that just keep in mind of where you're setting this. Obviously you don't want any contaminants in your food, but it is going to give you a nice surface. If you wanted to prepare your meal on a picnic table or something, not the campsite, you won't have to worry about sanitizing the whole table. Just put this down and give you a nice place to prepare your meal.So that's going to complete our look at the GSI Cutting Board. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. I hope this video has been helpful in deciding if this is the right product for you. If not, we have lots of different options for your camp site here at etrailer.com. So I'd encourage you to come take a look at some of those other options. Thanks for watching. We'll see you next time.
