Jeff: Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this AceCamp FireSea backpacking stove. Now this is a nice small but very powerful gas stove that'll mount to a screw-on gas canister, and it lights at the push of a button. It uses this Piezo ignition like you'll see on a lot of your gas grills that allow you to light the stove with just pushing the button here. This is a nice stainless steel and aluminum construction. It is very lightweight, it's extremely durable, very easy to clean. And as we've mentioned this screws on to the screw-on gas canister. As you can see, this where it screws on, it has a nice seal here that'll seal it.
And that even gives you a nice fully adjustable heat settings, right here is this knob that as you turn it, it'll open it up and give it more gas for a bigger flame. And then you tighten it down to turn it off. This will provide up to about 10,919 BTU. And what's nice about this, I have this all put together, but what we're going to do is it is collapsible, so it can be broken down, stored in its own little stuff sack, makes it small enough to just toss into your backpack.A few dimensions when it's installed like this, the tallest point is about 3 1/2" tall. The weight on it is about 9.2 ounces, so just under 10 ounces. And again, just to take it apart, what we'll do is this center portion right here is spring loaded.
So if you just pull up on that it will either remove the leg, just like that, and then with the legs off, you can go ahead and put those into your sack.Once we get those all installed into the sack, then we can coil up our hose of our stove, put that into the sack also. And once you get it all in there, you just pull it tight, slide down the lock, and you can see just like that you have this nice little bitty stuff sack that you can throw wherever you like. And then just to show you how it goes together. I'm going to go ahead and open it up and take our stove out, take our legs out. And what you'll want to do is, as I mentioned, this is a spring loaded and you can see on this anodized knob right here, there are actually three holes and you'll take the legs, the end that has a little crimped end, and just stick it in one of those holes. And then turn that around until it lines up with the little notch in the spring loaded plate.
And you'll do the same over here, stick it into the hole. And then the last one, stick it in there. And it lines up and you can see just like that after you've popped them in. It gives you a nice stand. You can put your pot on there, whatever needed.
Then you just screw that onto your gas canister. But that should do it for the review on this AceCamp FireSea backpacking stove..
