Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the Torklift Talon custom frame mounted camper tie downs. These are going to mount to the frame of your truck, and they're going to give you the tie-down points for your in-bed truck camper at the front of your truck bed. The rear tie-downs are sold separately, so you can pick those up here at etrailer.com as well. These are a custom fit for your vehicle. They're going to fit the 1999 or 2007 Ford F250 and F350 Super Duties.
As long as you have that 6-3/4' bed, and either a factory installed hitch, a Torklift SuperHitch Original, or a Torklift SuperHitch Magnum. As long, again, as you don't have a board or step underneath your bed that would obstruct clearance. So, if you have all those details in your F250 or F350, this is going to be a great kit for you to get you to those tie-down points for your in-bed truck camper. Now, because these are a frame mounted option, they are going to secure to the base of your truck instead of on your stake pockets, which is going to make a much more secure ride for you. It's going to be kind of like, I like to use the analogy of the difference between working on the top of a ladder and at the base of a ladder. You're just going to have a lot more stability when you're getting down to the frame so that you're not going to be as top heavy, and everything's going to be a much more secure for you.And a really nice thing about these, they are going to be virtually undetectable when you're not using them.
So this portion is going to be permanently mounted onto the frame of your vehicle, but this arm is removable. So when you're not using it, you can slide it out, and this part is going to be hidden underneath your body. We also include these finishing caps to kind of dress those up a little bit, close up your receiver opening, so you're going to have a nice clean finished look. But then when you're ready to use them, you just take the cap off and then slide these in place. You can see we've got two notches here. So depending on the width that you need for your camper, you can either have it farther out or slid in a little bit.
And then they do include pins for you to lock that into position. Very easy to do, just reaching underneath your truck, putting that in place. Then you've got this nice solid tie-down for your in-bed truck camper. These are a nice rust-proof aluminum construction. So they're going to be very lightweight, easy to deal with when you're putting them in, taking them out. Very easy to maintain.
You're not going to have to worry about rust or anything like that. They are going to insert into our stainless steel receiver brackets. So these are going to be very sturdy, dependable. They both have high impact powder coat finish to them so they're going to provide that extra layer of protection to make sure that these are lasting a nice long time for you. So I think you're going to be very happy with them. They are made here in the USA, so you can trust they're made to the high quality standards that we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the US.These do come with a lifetime warranty. So again, a little bit extra reassurance that this is a nice quality option for you.As you can see, all the hardware that you're going to need to get these installed and instructions to walk you through that process are also included. So really this is all you're going to need for the front of your truck bed to get that in-bed truck camper attached. You will need to pick up the rear brackets to get all four corners settled in. But as far as good, better, best options go, I think this is going to be the best option. It's going to be really nice, very dependable, and really stylish for you. Not going to have to worry about anything sticking out when you're not using it. So I think you'll be very happy with this if you have that in-bed truck camper that you're trying to haul down the road. That's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

Always a great product! Shipping packaging needs to be improved as these were received dinged up and scratched. Installed anyways as I didn't want to go through the hassle of reorder and return.
Will still continue to purchase products through etrailer, but wanted to make note.

My salesperson was great, especially with the mess-up in shipping and handling. (Install instructions were not included) Of course, Torklift products are very well made BUT I did have to modify them ever so slightly, probably because my 2016 Ram was put together with a little less accuracy than was needed. Would use etrailer again.

Received 2 driver side front mounts and dealer where it was being installed went the extra mile and made the change happen by calling your company. Trip stalled out b/c of incorrect parts. Product is likely great but product was incorrect when received.

Product showed up as described.

Torklift frame mounted tie downs are a great product. The rear ones are easy to install. The front require a bit more skill and an extra set of hands. It’s a bit nerve wracking thinking you might loose the bolts into the frame! I upgraded my truck from an F150 to an F250. Because the brackets aren’t transferable, I had to get a new set and install them on my F250. I was glad I had the experience with the previous brackets on the F150 because the ones for the F250 are a bit heavier and more challenging to install. But I was able to do it with an extra set of hands to hold the brackets on to the frame. The fact that I went with the same Torklift system is a testament to the product. If you can afford aluminum, they’re beautiful and light. But once everything is in place, there’s no functional difference.
etrailer has great installation videos for the F150, but not the F250. I wish they had install videos for the F250 because it’s a bit more challenging, requiring an impact driver to loosen the nut on the driver side leaf spring.

The passenger side was a little confusing but the driver side went smooth, also you need a really good impact wrench for the leaf spring bolts.

Excellent product and excellent service from ETRAILER! Held up well after one year, will hold up in long run as well. Fit and finish of product is outstanding. Durable coatings, and well worth the extra money for these!

I just finished installing the front tie-downs and am really happy with the results. Although the instructions directed me to remove one e-cable bracket, I removed both e-cable brackets on the driver's side to get enough slack to slide the bracket behind the e-cable. See the pictures. Instructions were easy to follow. Many thanks to big A for the extra hands, impact tool and torque wrench!

I bought the Torklift camper tie downs for my new 2017 Ram 3500 dually. I haul a Lance 850 slide in truck camper. They came today and I installed them in about 4 hours. (I work slow) I bought the Aluminum ones so I don't have to worry about any rust. They look great and like the Torklift that was on my old truck I am sure they will give me great service.

About a year ago, I purchased the aluminum Talon Torklift Frame-Mounted Front and Rear Camper Tie-Downs. The install was easy taking the better part of a day including a little help from a local automotive mechanic to loosen and retorque the truck’s leaf spring bolts. The Tie-Downs have worked great since installed with no issues. I highly recommend them.

It's a little tricky feeding the bolts through the frame (almost lost one, but a little tape on the bolt/spring helped), but a great product otherwise. The mounting scheme for my Chevy 2500 HD is strong and ingeniously designed. No drilling or welding. The aluminum won't rust like other tie-downs mounted to the frame. It was well worth the extra money to get the aluminum version of this product.

Excellent product. Good customer service. I will always use tork lift products from now on.
etrailer is an excellent vendor as well.
I upgraded from happy jack camper tie downs. I like the aluminum talon tork lifts for their easy installation, zero corrosion liability, and unimposing appearance when not in use.

I ordered Camper tie-downs for my new Ram 2500. I erroneously ordered TDL2126A for the front. They wouldn't clear the nurfs. A quick call confirmed that I would need the TDL2127A. I had to pay for the 27As up front and hope when I returned the 26As on an rmer I would receive prompt refunds. Imagine my surprise when they notified me that they received my return and the refund was on its way. These guys are super, especially Brenden C.
ps the Aluminum tie downs are great and the happy jacks awesome!

I purchased the Torklift Talon front and rear TC tie downs and love the fact they are lightweight but yet very strong. Being aluminum powder coated is great being in a salt air environment so no rusting like the steel versions do.

Easiest installation available. These fit perfect and attach just as instructed. The only issue you may have to watch is that on some truck frames, mine being one of them, Ford covers one of the holes with a black sticker that states, "No Mounting Bracket". In my case, the writing on this sticker was covered by a film of road grime and I had problems even finding the hole to dry fit the bracket until I cleaned off the frame with solvent. The actually TorkLift kit fits the frame perfectly though. The passenger rear bracket is very close to the exhaust pipe so when diesel particulate filter regeneration cycle begins, it will melt the label off the bracket but does not appear the even burn the paint on it so should still be OK, just be aware when unhooking the tie down from the bracket as it could be very hot.

Paint finish was pretty banged up, but all intact regarding tie downs.
The super hitch did not arrive so I am still waiting for delivery. UPS only dropped one box.

Received part of my order but did not receive Torklift frame mounted tie downs for the front for my 2015 Ford F350 and have not heard of status! I am planning a trip and hopefully will receive them soon as I have never had this happened to me on previous orders.
Review from a similar Talon Front in Camper Tie-Downs
Very quality product. Was fairly easy to install, except for a couple holes in the frame that were evidently drilled smaller on the 2015 pickup so had to drill them out to install mounts. One decal was incorrectly placed on a rear mount. Two ties downs said were for front passenger side but only decal was wrong as one was for the rear driver side. The shipment came through quickly and am satisfied with my purchase.

100% Aluminum! Had to call TorkLift as it wasn't clear what components were AL. all frame brackets, receiver tube and slide in bar are aluminum.
Had steel torklift previously and completely rusted out after ~6 years. For the expense they should have been coated better. Steel powder coating adherence was terrible. AL better be an improvement for the $$. Time will tell.
