Speaker 1: Today, we're going to be taking a look at TorkLift's line of custom frame mounted camper tie downs for the front. You want to verify here at etrailer.com using our fit guide, which ones work best for your vehicle. There are sets also available that will fit your vehicle available for the rear. These custom mounted brackets are going to provide an easy attachment point to hook up your camper. What's additionally great about those is that they have the removable ends. So when you're not using it, they'll be hidden away, and your vehicle will look like factory. The custom mounted brackets we're engineered to provide you with the best location for your tie down point to even distribute the load.
So, once they're attached, and adjusted. This'll keep your camper from being too top heavy. This'll increase the overall ride quality while you're campers attached, and the safety. It's made of a durable steel with a black powder coat finish, which'll ensure that you have a strong attachment point, and it'll be highly resistant to corrosion. When you are ready to use them, you can just slide in the attachment point. There's two points here to attach your turn buckles, and here on the shaft there are two points that will give you an adjustment inward, and outward, to specifically fit your camper.
So, you can use this hole for a wider camper, or this hole for an aero camper. Once you've got your appropriate hole, slide the pin through, and bring the latch over, and lock it in place. Then you can attach your turn buckles. Now if you need some turn buckles you can pick them up here at etrailer.com. There are many a different styles. From chain types, to quick attach lever types.
Our style is going to a be a threaded rod type that will hook to your camper, and down to our attachment point. We'll adjust it snug by turning our turn buckle here. With our passenger side done, we'll repeat that same step on our driver's side.Compared to stake pocket, our bumper mounted camper tie downs, frame mounted tie downs will provide better handling. They also mount out of sight, giving your truck a cleaner look, because the custom fit brackets secure tight against your trucks frame there is no loss of ground clearance. That completes our look at TorkLift's line of custom frame mounted camper tie downs for the front..

Ready your truck to haul a camper with these sturdy tie-downs. Inserts slide into frame-mounted brackets for use and easily remove for a clean, unobtrusive look. Custom designed for your vehicle. These are good hold downs. They were installed without a problem. Be sure to have a very sharp drill bit, as the truck frame is hard material. I am happy with the product. 718751
The black finish is of good quality. The fitment was okay and went together easy enough. Directions are adequate. The “recessed” position is 2” outboard of the body. I bought these hoping for a more tucked under fit when out of use. The upper bolt supplied for the front bracket to J-bolt is too short. Barely gets on 2 threads for the install, let alone washers. I’ll have to go buy1/2”x 4” bolts for the upper. For 680 bucks, I expect a more thoughtful direct fitment and all the hardware to be appropriate for the selected installation 666892
High quality product. TorkLift customer support is excellent. They mistakenly sent me two left inserts for the tie-downs. A quick call to customer support and they sent the correct part right out. Photo shows camper and truck before installation of TorkLift tie_downs. 604386
Great customer service at TorkLift. They accidentally sent me two left sides for the rear tie-down insert. A quick call to them and they sent the correct part right out. 604382
Received my order a day earlier than I was expecting, everything looks good so far, haven't done the install as of yet but after watching the video from your website on how to install the tie downs it looks like a no brainer, thank you for the good service. 575091

Bolts right on excellent instructions 598355

Installation took roughly 1.5hrs, with drivers' side being more of a challenge. Couldn't have taken the 2 factory bed bolts out without an pneumatic impact wrench (and 18mm socket) and a needle nosed vice-grip was key in holding the front welded nut bar while treading the bolt into it. Also, note the driver' and passenger's are slightly different in angles (the instructions could be better to identify which is which, or at least each one marked as such). Looks good and solid! Very happy with the product design and the overall instructions. The corresponding D3109 (rear tie-downs) were very simple installation (~1hr), however the pneumatic impact was definitely needed to take out the 6 factory bolts. 642389

Etrailer delivery was great. The torklift product F2011 on my 2010 F250 went along very easy, for a mildly experienced homeowner. One issue on the product. The 5/8 Hook Brackets that attach the device to the frame. I needed to use a metal file at a weld point so the 1/2 inch bolt would pass through. Torklift quality control really should have caught this issue. No big deal to correct with a metal file. May have held me up 5 minutes. Another issue with the product I found several pinpoint areas on the standard bent inserts that if left would break the skin. A tap with a wrench which was handy knocked them down. Just a finish issue. Looking forward to my Truck Camper in a couple of months when my custom built will be complete. On the bright side of the Torklift F2011 it went on with none of the problems seen on youtube. No fishing for bolts. Maybe it is just the 2010 Ford F250 build that fit well but made all the difference. 335994

I have a 2018 model F450 so was a little hesitant due to the year not coming up as an option. The fit was fine with perfect alignment, though, and the extensions worked with the open backed factory running boards. I assume the finish was fine at the factory but there was some scuffing on the parts by the time they got to my door. The work around for getting the bolts situated in a boxed frame was a bit of a pain. Unlike the videos where the tech walks up to the frame on a lift, most guys will end up on their backs under the truck trying to feed little wires through at an angle from hole to hole. Hint: I used a small flex gripper to grab the "threads" and pulled the puller. It was a little stiffer and more manageable. Ever think of a heavy duty winged bolt similar to those used for drywall? That would make the installation much easier. 506254

Directions to install were very good. Had to drill a 7/16" hole through 1/4" steel on each side of the leaf spring hanger bracket (no fun at all). Driver side install has perfect alignment. Passenger side would not align horizontal to ground like driver side. Emailed customer service and they responded quickly and effectively. They provided and alternative which made the alignment better but not as good as the driver side. Still functional. Not very happy with the finish. The paint (powder coat) was the worst and kept peeling off everywhere. A spray-can of Rustoleum made it all good! 716909

Product works great, takes a little time to install in closed channel frame but not bad. I would recommend product and Etrailer. 561950

Jason was great to work with on getting the proper camper tie downs for my truck as it was a new truck and was a bit confused as to the proper application. I had them installed within an hour. Even an armature bolt twister could do this! I have used my camper a lot since putting these on my truck and will tell you these are THE MOST SECURE ANCHORS I have ever used on any of my trucks PERIOD! You will not make a bad decision going with this product. I recommend these tie downs over any product available! I Don't normally give recommendations or endorse products. These I am truly impressed with. 802311

I've had these installed about a year now. Have been on trips from Missouri to California and back and another trip to Wyoming/Colorado.New Mexico and back. Tie downs worked as expected. The installation isn't too bad, having someone to help makes the installation easier. The one thing that could be better is that you have to fish bolts thru the frame to install these -- that wasn't too bad but I'm not sure how you would ever get them back out to move to another vehicle. I trade pickups every few years and would want to move them from one to the other. I guess I'll cross that bridge when the time comes. 633577

We couldn't be happier with the Torklift Camper Tiedowns. Install time was minimal and fit and finish couldn't be better. Bolt fishing the frame on the passenger-side of a 2017 F350, is slightly different than the instructions suggest. But, you can't blame Torklift for not being able to keep up with every Ford engineer who gets a wild hair, to slot a new hole in the frame on Friday @ beer-thirty. For any buyers who have an F350, SRW, long box, with running boards that extend into the bed: don't panic! Even though the drop down menu doesn't give you the option, the Torklift: TLF2021 kit will still clear the step PERFECTLY! (See picture) Thanks again, etrailer. Ordering was a breeze, the package tracker was awesome and communication was excellent. 411185

Installed on my 2020 F250 Supeduty, they were easy to install. They were missing a few pieces of hardware but etrailer got the parts shipped out the next day. The front driver side plate did take a little puzzle like twisting to get around the brake lines but wasn’t really that difficult. I also purchased the rear tie downs and they are even easier to install. The front and rear took about 3 hours total to install. I only needed to buy a 32mm socket for the suspension bolt. 906748

Great product. Install was pretty easy. The only snag was trying to tighten the nut on the bolt that you use the fish wire for on the front driver side. There's no way to hold the head of the bolt while you're tightening the nut so I used a pry bar between the frame and the receiver plate to create tension on the bolt and hold it while I tightened the nut. Also, remember to disengage your parking break before installing the front driver side so that the cable is loose. 504795

Nicole at etrailer was sharp and the products - 5 stars for her The Torklift instruction pictures are poor - look like they have been copied 100 times. Front brackets were fairly straight forward - but had to remove a skid plate and loosen the fuel tank to install the drivers side. Rear brackets needed to drill holes. T L should provide a drill template. Haven’t used with the camper yet. 765289

I am satisfied with my purchase of the TLC2219 tie down system for my camper. It was installed on my 2014 Chevy diesel. The front set did require two pairs of hands to get the nuts and bolts in place. 606545
Review from a similar Frame-Mounted Front in Camper Tie-Downs
I bought the TLC2220 for a low profile pop up cabover camper which I had for another Chevy 3/4 ton truck. The prior truck utilized a different attachment but was not available for my current 2012 Chevy truck. The TLC220 offers an excellent attachment point that is made out of thick well made steel and covered with a nice black powder coating. The instructions that came with the product should be thrown away. Pictures are poor, verbiage is incomplete and large gaps in the actual application. The saving grace is the video from etrailer. This is a great video. Complete, simple with no gaps and tells you exactly what the difficulties might be. This video even called out the socket sizes. Unfortunately the mate to this; the TLC 3212 rear mounts has a poor video with again gaps in application. And... again the TLC3212 written instructions is just fireplace starter material. 814560
