Hi there I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at these Torklift talon, custom frame mounted camper tiedowns. These tie-downs provide the attachment points at the rear of your truck bed for securing your bed mounted camper. These are just the rear tie-downs, the front tie-downs that you will need are sold separately, but you can find those here at etrailer.com as well. Because these are going to be frame mounted, it's going to ensure that your truck bed camper is going to be nice and firmly connected to your truck. It's also going to help ensure excellent handling for you by securing the camper to the truck's base, rather than to the truck bed.
It's going to better distribute the weight to help keep the setup from being too top heavy and moving around too much. Now these are a custom fit bracket, so they are going to work for the 2020 and newer GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado. The 2,500 with the six and three quarter foot bed, the 3,500 with the six and three quarter foot bed, both the crew cab or the double cab, the 3,500 with the eight foot bed and the single rear wheel. So I won't work with the Dooley's and all those with either the Torklift super hitch Magnum 30,000 pound hitch or a factory installed hitch. And your other aftermarket hitches are going to use some of the mounting holes or have problems fitting in with these brackets.
So if you have any of those, these are going to be a custom fit for you because they are a custom fit. It is going to fit right up into your truck's frame. It's going to be nice and snug. You're not going to lose any ground clearance. All the necessary hardware to get this installed is included as well as instructions to walk you through step-by-step how to get everything put in place.
But a very simple install, a very easy to do in your driveway over the weekend, something like that. But one of the really nice things about these is that they are going to be virtually undetectable when you're not using them. So you can simply just pull this pin out and then slide that arm out. So this is going to be the piece that is permanently installed on your truck. So very inconspicuous and be kind of hidden underneath your truck's body there.
So really not going to be able to notice it at all. Unlike some of your other options that mount onto your camper, you see this kind of portion sticking out, kind of takes away from the look of your truck. So this is going to be a really nice option for you to ensure that when you want to take your camper off, you can pull those out. They do include these caps that will go right over top there to make sure that you're keeping all your dirt and debris out from inside the tube. And it's going to also help to give it a kind of a completed look there. So really nice option. You can see that we do have these two different mounting holes here on our arms. So depending on how wide our camper is going to stick out from our frame, we can either have it at the wider setting or bring it into the narrower setting there. Both very simple, just push the pin through and then flip it on the other side and that will hold it in place. And these are constructed of a rust-proof aluminum. So they are going to be extremely lightweight, easy to work with. We're gonna secure to our stainless steel receiver brackets. So again, very corrosion resistant, gonna hold up really well for us. They do both have a high-impact powder coat finish. That's going to add an extra layer of protection to the brackets and the inserts. So it should last you a nice long time, do a great job for you and be very inconspicuous. So they are made here in the USA, so you can trust they're make to the high quality standards that we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the U S and they do come with a lifetime warranty. So if you we're to have any problems with it, you're more than welcome to reach out to us here at etrailer.com. We're always happy to work with our customers to make sure that you're getting good quality products and having a good experience. So, overall, I think this is going to be a really nice option. I really like that it's mounting to your frame. It's going to give you a more stable connection there, and being able to remove those arms is going to be a huge benefit of these over some of your other styles that are going to be permanently there, kind of taking away from the look of your truck. So, really nice option here for you if you are looking for a way to get your truck bed camper secured to your truck. Again, these are just the rear brackets, you will need the front as well. So that's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

The Talons and the fast guns are awesome products, fit and installation was very easy. The products have held up very well and will for a long time. The extra money spent for this set up was very worth it. It takes no time at all to secure the camper down and the fast guns have never needed adjustment after initial set up. ETRAILER was great to work with and followed up after sale. Products shipped quick and were in stock. They also had lots of information posted on YouTube to ease installation. Great company, great products by Torklift!

Torklift frame mounted tie downs are a great product. The rear ones are easy to install. The front require a bit more skill and an extra set of hands. It’s a bit nerve wracking thinking you might loose the bolts into the frame! I upgraded my truck from an F150 to an F250. Because the brackets aren’t transferable, I had to get a new set and install them on my F250. I was glad I had the experience with the previous brackets on the F150 because the ones for the F250 are a bit heavier and more challenging to install. But I was able to do it with an extra set of hands to hold the brackets on to the frame. The fact that I went with the same Torklift system is a testament to the product. If you can afford aluminum, they’re beautiful and light. But once everything is in place, there’s no functional difference.
etrailer has great installation videos for the F150, but not the F250. I wish they had install videos for the F250 because it’s a bit more challenging, requiring an impact driver to loosen the nut on the driver side leaf spring.

Excellent product. Good customer service. I will always use tork lift products from now on.
etrailer is an excellent vendor as well.
I upgraded from happy jack camper tie downs. I like the aluminum talon tork lifts for their easy installation, zero corrosion liability, and unimposing appearance when not in use.

Easiest installation available. These fit perfect and attach just as instructed. The only issue you may have to watch is that on some truck frames, mine being one of them, Ford covers one of the holes with a black sticker that states, "No Mounting Bracket". In my case, the writing on this sticker was covered by a film of road grime and I had problems even finding the hole to dry fit the bracket until I cleaned off the frame with solvent. The actually TorkLift kit fits the frame perfectly though. The passenger rear bracket is very close to the exhaust pipe so when diesel particulate filter regeneration cycle begins, it will melt the label off the bracket but does not appear the even burn the paint on it so should still be OK, just be aware when unhooking the tie down from the bracket as it could be very hot.

I recently purchased and installed TorkLift Talon rear tie-downs for my 2016 Ford F150supercab 8ft box. Installation was very easy with well explained directions. Product is excellent quality and will last the life of my truck. I only wish the front tie-down application was available, I would buy it in a heart beat. I will continue to check to see if front application becomes available.

It's a little tricky feeding the bolts through the frame (almost lost one, but a little tape on the bolt/spring helped), but a great product otherwise. The mounting scheme for my Chevy 2500 HD is strong and ingeniously designed. No drilling or welding. The aluminum won't rust like other tie-downs mounted to the frame. It was well worth the extra money to get the aluminum version of this product.

I bought the Torklift camper tie downs for my new 2017 Ram 3500 dually. I haul a Lance 850 slide in truck camper. They came today and I installed them in about 4 hours. (I work slow) I bought the Aluminum ones so I don't have to worry about any rust. They look great and like the Torklift that was on my old truck I am sure they will give me great service.
