Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at these TorkLift Talon Tie-Downs. These tie-downs are gonna be a great option for those of you who are wanting to take your truck bed camper and make sure that it's gonna be nice and secure on your truck. So these will attach directly to the frame of your truck. So that is gonna be a lot more secure than trying to tie it down to the side rails of your truck bed. Attaching it to the frame helps to better distribute the weight, so that it's gonna be very secure for you.
Now, this is just the front tube bracket. So it's gonna be either side at the front of your truck bed. You will need the rear brackets as well. Now you can find those sold separately here at etrailer.com using that part number that you see on the screen there. So you will need all four brackets.
But this system is really nice. It's a custom fit for your 2020 and newer, Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500. With the 3500 there you are gonna be limited to the single rear wheels instead of a dually. But this will work for both the Silverado and Sierra 2500 and 3500 with the six and three-quarter-foot bed. You will need to have either the Factory Hitch or the TorkLift Superhitch Magnum 30,000K Hitch, to ensure that it, everything is gonna fit properly.
If you have a different hitch, it might be using some of the holes that your tie-down system needs. So if you have either one of those kinds of hitches, this system will work great for you. This does feature these durable stainless steel receiver brackets that mount directly to the frame. So these are gonna be very durable and strong for you, give you that solid connection right there at your truck's frame, so that you know everything is gonna be very secure and sturdy. These brackets do fit right up against the frame.
So it's gonna be very snug. You're not gonna lose any ground clearance. It's not gonna hang down. So it will be a really great option for you. Then our tie-down inserts are a rustproof, aluminum. So they're gonna be very lightweight and easy to deal with. These secure to the receiver brackets. And you can see we've got two different holes here to determine the width or how far out they're gonna stick. So depending on how far out your camper sits, from the side, you can have this set out to right about 24 and a quarter of an inch out from your truck's frame. Or we can narrow that in to about 20 and a quarter of an inch. So just depending on how wide your camper is we'll determine which one you'll use there, but it's very simple to then just reinstall that pin, get that clipped in place. That's gonna give you a nice solid place to hook your tie-downs up to. Now, our brackets are a stainless steel, as I said, and our inserts are an aluminum construction. So they're gonna be rust and corrosion resistant anyway. But then we also have this powder coat finish on here that's going to add an extra layer of protection, make sure that it's gonna last for us for a long time to come. They do include all the hardware that you're gonna need to get this installed and instructions to walk you through every step of the way so that you can get everything installed properly. Very simple to do. Because these are custom brackets, you're not gonna have to do any drilling or welding. It's gonna be very simple to get it installed. And they do also include these caps. So when you remove the aluminum arms, these caps will fit over the, receiver brackets. That's going to help prevent any dirt prevent any dirt or debris from getting in there. And that's one of the really nice things about this system is that those aluminum tie-down brackets are removable. So you can just store these in the back of your truck or something. And these portions that are going to be permanently mounted to your truck bed are gonna be very inconspicuous. So you're really not gonna see them. They're gonna be kind of hidden up under your truck. So it's not gonna take away from the look of your vehicle, really not gonna notice 'em all at all. So unlike some of your other tie-down options where there's a very visible bracket mounted in place, this is gonna be very inconspicuous and it's going to look really nice on your vehicle when you're not using it. So, really great option here for those of you who are looking to maybe start camping with your truck bed camper, or maybe you're looking for an upgrade, or maybe you just got a new truck. This is gonna be a really great system. In my mind, this is probably the best option. We do have other options available here at etrailer.com. But, I really like the aluminum. I think that's gonna give you, just the flexibility, the lightweightness and, the corrosion resistance of that aluminum construction, but then also being able to remove those arms, gives you that clean finish when you're not using your camper so, I think this is gonna be a really nice system for you. It is made here in the USA. So you can trust it's made to the high quality standards that we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the US. And it does come with a lifetime warranty. So if you we're to ever have any problems with it, you're more than welcome to reach out to us. We're always happy to work with our customers, make sure that you're getting a good quality product and having a good experience with us. So, that's gonna complete our look for today. Again, I hope this has been a helpful video for you in determining if this is gonna be the right fit for you with your truck. We do have another option that's for the eight-foot, or eight-foot long beds. So check that out here at etrailer.com if that's gonna fit better for you. But overall, like I said, really great option. I think it'll make you very happy when you're trying to go out for the weekend with your truck bed camper. So that's gonna complete our look for today. And again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

Always a great product! Shipping packaging needs to be improved as these were received dinged up and scratched. Installed anyways as I didn't want to go through the hassle of reorder and return.
Will still continue to purchase products through etrailer, but wanted to make note.

Installed on a 2016 RAM 3500. The install was pretty easy overall however, my biggest gripe is that I needed to purchase 6 extra Grade 8 bolts and nowhere does the packaging indicate that I needed to purchase extra hardware. Also, the drivers side mount was not manufactured 100%-flat so getting the short bolt in was a challenge but finally got it. I'm giving this a 3-star due to the missing bolts and no indication that more would be needed.

My salesperson was great, especially with the mess-up in shipping and handling. (Install instructions were not included) Of course, Torklift products are very well made BUT I did have to modify them ever so slightly, probably because my 2016 Ram was put together with a little less accuracy than was needed. Would use etrailer again.

Received 2 driver side front mounts and dealer where it was being installed went the extra mile and made the change happen by calling your company. Trip stalled out b/c of incorrect parts. Product is likely great but product was incorrect when received.

Installed stable loads on my 2016 super cab, 6.5 bed length truck to haul my truck camper.
Product showed up as described.

Torklift frame mounted tie downs are a great product. The rear ones are easy to install. The front require a bit more skill and an extra set of hands. It’s a bit nerve wracking thinking you might loose the bolts into the frame! I upgraded my truck from an F150 to an F250. Because the brackets aren’t transferable, I had to get a new set and install them on my F250. I was glad I had the experience with the previous brackets on the F150 because the ones for the F250 are a bit heavier and more challenging to install. But I was able to do it with an extra set of hands to hold the brackets on to the frame. The fact that I went with the same Torklift system is a testament to the product. If you can afford aluminum, they’re beautiful and light. But once everything is in place, there’s no functional difference.
etrailer has great installation videos for the F150, but not the F250. I wish they had install videos for the F250 because it’s a bit more challenging, requiring an impact driver to loosen the nut on the driver side leaf spring.

The passenger side was a little confusing but the driver side went smooth, also you need a really good impact wrench for the leaf spring bolts.

Excellent product and excellent service from ETRAILER! Held up well after one year, will hold up in long run as well. Fit and finish of product is outstanding. Durable coatings, and well worth the extra money for these!

I just finished installing the front tie-downs and am really happy with the results. Although the instructions directed me to remove one e-cable bracket, I removed both e-cable brackets on the driver's side to get enough slack to slide the bracket behind the e-cable. See the pictures. Instructions were easy to follow. Many thanks to big A for the extra hands, impact tool and torque wrench!

I bought the Torklift camper tie downs for my new 2017 Ram 3500 dually. I haul a Lance 850 slide in truck camper. They came today and I installed them in about 4 hours. (I work slow) I bought the Aluminum ones so I don't have to worry about any rust. They look great and like the Torklift that was on my old truck I am sure they will give me great service.

About a year ago, I purchased the aluminum Talon Torklift Frame-Mounted Front and Rear Camper Tie-Downs. The install was easy taking the better part of a day including a little help from a local automotive mechanic to loosen and retorque the truck’s leaf spring bolts. The Tie-Downs have worked great since installed with no issues. I highly recommend them.

It's a little tricky feeding the bolts through the frame (almost lost one, but a little tape on the bolt/spring helped), but a great product otherwise. The mounting scheme for my Chevy 2500 HD is strong and ingeniously designed. No drilling or welding. The aluminum won't rust like other tie-downs mounted to the frame. It was well worth the extra money to get the aluminum version of this product.

Excellent product. Good customer service. I will always use tork lift products from now on.
etrailer is an excellent vendor as well.
I upgraded from happy jack camper tie downs. I like the aluminum talon tork lifts for their easy installation, zero corrosion liability, and unimposing appearance when not in use.

I ordered Camper tie-downs for my new Ram 2500. I erroneously ordered TDL2126A for the front. They wouldn't clear the nurfs. A quick call confirmed that I would need the TDL2127A. I had to pay for the 27As up front and hope when I returned the 26As on an rmer I would receive prompt refunds. Imagine my surprise when they notified me that they received my return and the refund was on its way. These guys are super, especially Brenden C.
ps the Aluminum tie downs are great and the happy jacks awesome!

I purchased the Torklift Talon front and rear TC tie downs and love the fact they are lightweight but yet very strong. Being aluminum powder coated is great being in a salt air environment so no rusting like the steel versions do.

Easiest installation available. These fit perfect and attach just as instructed. The only issue you may have to watch is that on some truck frames, mine being one of them, Ford covers one of the holes with a black sticker that states, "No Mounting Bracket". In my case, the writing on this sticker was covered by a film of road grime and I had problems even finding the hole to dry fit the bracket until I cleaned off the frame with solvent. The actually TorkLift kit fits the frame perfectly though. The passenger rear bracket is very close to the exhaust pipe so when diesel particulate filter regeneration cycle begins, it will melt the label off the bracket but does not appear the even burn the paint on it so should still be OK, just be aware when unhooking the tie down from the bracket as it could be very hot.

Paint finish was pretty banged up, but all intact regarding tie downs.
The super hitch did not arrive so I am still waiting for delivery. UPS only dropped one box.
