A Safe and Comfortable Ride

The HappiJac tie-downs distribute the weight of your camper across the truck's bed to keep the ride comfortable and the camper secure. Holding the camper taut at all four corners and from the front of the bed - as opposed to securing it on top of the bed rails, like a typical bed-mounted system - helps to reduce any front-to-back shifting of your camper during travel. It's designed to make the camper an integrated part of your truck, instead of a heavy load perched on top of it.

The included centering guide locks help you with both loading your camper and keeping it secure. When you back up to load, the locks will nudge the camper into the right spot and make sure it's centered as it slides into your bed. Then they'll essentially hug your camper on each side to hold it snug and keep it from moving. They also put a nice rubber cushion between the truck bed wall and the camper.

Don't Ruin Your Truck's Looks

When you're not using them, these tie-downs will be pretty subtle. The front anchor plates will poke out an inch or so from between the car and the bed, with the brace sitting on the inside of the bed, against the front wall. You'll be able to see it, but it won't interfere with using your bed for other things. The rear anchors install on the bumper, and when you're not using them, the couplers remove from the anchors with a quick quarter-turn. Small and chrome-plated, these anchor points blend right in.

Today, we are going to take a look at the HappiJac custom tie-downs for your truck bed camper. Now this part here is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2007 and newer Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks, the new body style, except for the extended cab models. On a custom fit part like this, I always like to recommend for you to go to our website, use our fit guide, putting your year and model vehicle, and it will show you if this will work for your application. Now, these tie-downs will provide attachment points at the front, in the rear of your vehicle's bed for securing a bed mounted camper. This kit with the stabilizing bar here creates a nice I-beam trust structure that will literally make your camper an integral part of your truck.

Helps minimize and distribute the camper load and overdue stress on the truck's frame.Right up here we have the direct to frame front brackets will mount directly to your frame for added strength. It secures the camper to the truck's base instead of just the bed, which means it better distributes the weight to keep your setup from being too top heavy. Now, the HappiJac tie-downs prevents your camper movement in all directions: up and down, side to side and front to back. The centering guide locks right here on these guide plates, will prevent your camper from shifting side to side right.Right here, they have these rear bumper braces that will install in the end of your truck's bumper, anchors the rear of the camper. And again, this part is custom fit for your vehicle.

It is steel construction, does include everything laid out here on the table: the two front anchor plates, the stabilizing bar, the two guide plates, the two centering guide locks, the two L brackets, the two bumper frame braces. Over here, we have two of the in universal tie-down couplers, and you will notice all the hardware and brackets for installation are included and even a nice set of instructions that will describe how to install all these parts. Order fulfillment was quick and ordering was easy. Problem is that when the box carrying all the small heavy pieces was delivered the end was open and parts fell out all over the porch. I think this requires either a better box or a better carrier. Haven’t found out yet if anything is missing but will be on the phone if any pieces are not there….
