Titan Brake Actuator - T4813100

  • Electric-Hydraulic Brake Actuator
  • Disc Brakes
  • Titan
  • 1500 psi

Get the best in brake actuator technology with the BrakeRite EHB. System combines the response time and effectiveness of electric brake controllers with the power of hydraulic actuators for the fastest, safest stopping.

Features:

  • Electric-over-hydraulic brake actuator mounts on trailer and hardwires into trailer wiring system
    • Brake controller (sold separately) is required to send signal from tow vehicle to actuator when brakes are applied
    • Signal triggers pump and motor on actuator, activating trailer brakes
  • Pump-and-motor-based system increases response time compared with traditional hydraulic actuators
    • Trailer brakes are triggered when you apply brakes in tow vehicle, as opposed to when trailer pushes against hitch ball
  • Electronic, proportional pressure valve ensures that braking is smooth and effective
    • Controls braking pressure during long-term braking
  • Fluid reservoir is isolated and has diaphragm-type filler cap to prevent spills and leakage

Specs:

  • Application: disc brakes
  • Hydraulic pressure: 1,500 psi
  • Vehicle must be wired with an in-cab electric brake controller (sold separately)
  • 1-Year warranty

With a faster response time and more proportional braking than traditional, surge-type actuators, the BrakeRite is perfect for nearly any towing application from light to heavy duty. The system works with most in-cab brake controllers to sense when and how you apply the brakes in the tow vehicle. An electrical signal is then sent to the actuator to trigger it's pump and motor. Brake fluid is released and sent to the trailer brakes to activate them. The result is real-time braking that, thanks to the electronic proportional valve system, is also smooth and controlled.

Is it normal for this brakerite actuator to have had brake fluid(not much but fluid is present) iin it? 575566

Comments
It is indeed! Titan bench tests each and every actuator before its shipped, so its perfectly normal for there to be a residual amount of brake fluid still in it.

This EHB system works great for stopping my 19000lb. boat. Once I came up with a mounting bracket to keep the EHB above the water line, installation went smooth. 607339

I put disc brakes on my 38 foot 5th wheel travel trailer due to the poor brake quality of the manufacturer. I now drive on the highway with much greater confidence for our safety. The stopping power of these brakes is incredible. The quality of the brakes are superior. I installed them myself finding the instructions accurate and easy to follow. There was a small part missing out of the brake line kit and the part was overnited to me by E Trailer. I have purchased many items from this company and have found the products to be of top quality and fairly priced. The customer service is outstanding. Thank you. 306849

The products were ordered on Sunday night late, delivered by Wednesday. Converting drum surge brakes to disc, electric over hydraulic on a boat trailer for 26ft Sea Ray boat. I had everything including Titan brake actuator, 4 kodiac rotor and caliper conversion kits with bearings, and new lines installed by Thursday evening. Installation was straight forward, everything fit perfectly. One of the calipers was malfunctioning (not releasing). I called customer service and I had a new one within two days, it's now installed and working great!! Great product! Awesome service!! Stops better than any other trailer brakes I have ever experienced. 338160

Bolted right on. It was half day job installing this unit with my entire brake job ripping the old drums off and installing Discs, this unit is fantastic and works flawlessly. Sometimes I show off the effectiveness of the EOH system with the disc brakes to my friends. I have a 7,700lb boat and I'll only use my brake controller instead of my brake pedal going down steep hills. the trailer brakes quickly and effectively slow the GMC Yukon and boat by themselves with no vehicle brakes. I've attached photos of a few phases of the install as well as the entire vehicle to see what I'm talking about. This unit is very responsive and very effective, the greatest advantage if EOH systems is braking going backwards. It is awesome for launching the boat. Enjoy! 284060

It’s been a year of use and no surge brakes problems after my conversion to the BrakeRite - electric over hydraulic pump. I have a two axel disk brake boat trailer that it now services. I like it very much and had to modify the mount placement High so it didn’t get wet when backing the boat down the boat ramp. All in all I’d recommend it if you can afford it and want more consistent stopping power. Thanks etrailer and BrakeRite. 744475

This EHB was a little trouble putting in as the template for the holes was xeroxed so many time the holes were /4 inch off. So I had to fill in three holes in my chassis floor. Once nstalled and the brakes bled, it worked like a charm. Definitely much greater stopping power. 211364

Review from a similar BrakeRite EHB in Brake Actuator

The brake controller pump is adequate however it is not a very good way to make brakes work on a trailer. It has nothing to do with your service or your quick shipment of that part. You're supplying the part and getting it to me was excellent as well as the service from the lady that took my order she did a great job. 597581

  • Troubleshooting BrakeRite Not Working with 2018 Chevy Silverado with OEM Brake Controller
It sounds like you are trying to use the factory brake controller in your 2018 Chevy Silverado with the BrakeRite electric-over-hydraulic actuator. If this is the case then what you need is an adapter that allows your OEM controller to communicate properly with the actuator. If you have the BrakeRite EHB # T4822500 for drum brakes or # T4813100 for disc brakes then you need the adapter # T4846000. If you have the BrakeRite II Severe-Duty # T4835700 then you would need the adapter #...

The Titan BrakeRite EHB Electric-Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes # T4813100 and a brake controller can be used to convert a surge brake system to an electric over hydraulic braking system. The BrakeRite will mount on the tongue of the trailer frame and will hardwire into the trailer's wiring system. When the brake controller sends a signal to the actuator, the pump and motor are triggered and activate the trailer brakes. If you do not already have an electric brake controller installed...

  • Titan BrakeRite is Not Building Pressure
If your Titan BrakeRite EHB Electric-Hydraulic Actuator # T4813100 is not building pressure you are going to want to start by ensuring the actuator is properly grounded to a 12 volt battery. Should that not be the cause, test the actuator with a voltmeter with the tow vehicle connected to the trailer. For your Titan BrakeRite EHB Electric-Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes # T4813100 it sounds like you have bled the lines properly, but the power is definitely an issue. Since your Airstream trailer has disk brakes, you will need a hydraulic brake actuator with a higher psi rating, 1,500 or higher, because disc brakes require more pressure than drum brakes. The Titan BrakeRite, # T4813100, is designed for electric over hydraulic braking systems on trailers with disc brakes and is rated at 1,500 psi. • Titan EHB Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator Will not Pressurize

The trailer frame is not a suitable ground location for this actuator. If you adjust the ground connection and the unit will still not pressurize,...

The issue you are having with the Titan BrakeRite EHB Electric-Hydraulic Actuator part # T4813100 or part # T4822500 is attributed to the lack of power on the 12 volt wire for the 7-way trailer connector.
