Video Transcript for Review of Snap-Loc Tie Down Straps - Trailer,Truck Bed - SLTC150CR

Today we're taking a look at these Snap-loc cam buckle cinch strap. This heavy duty cinching tie down lets you secure cargo to your truck bed, trailer, or ladder rack. This is great for securing nets and tarps. It does have the hook and loop strap wrapper which keeps your excess strap in place so you can bundle up the excess strap that you have instead of tying it off to your trailer and you can place it in here. And then you can bring this around it and that's going to secure it. It's gonna help prevent your unused strap from tangling or flapping in the wind as you go down the road.

Also great for storing the strap when it's not in use.Right here we have the cam lock buckle which holds the strap tight over your gear. So the plain end of the strap, which is right here, it feeds through the buckle. So to do that you press the release lever, place this on the backside there, and you just have to work it in. Sometimes it can be a little bit tricky, but you just gotta keep at it. It'll poke through there. And then to tighten this, all you have to do is pull on that plain end and that will pull out any slack.

That'll tighten it around your cargo or around your gear. Now this buckle has little teeth right here which actually grab onto the strap without damaging it and prevents it from being able to back feed. So the only way to release it or loosen your strap is by pressing the release lever and then taking the strap out of the buckle. And then that's also how you remove it completely. So it's a nice easy to use design. We have a durable steel buckle with zinc plating to resist rust and corrosion.

Durable polyester webbing for the strap. It's WSTDA certified, made in the USA. The strap measures one inch wide by 50 feet long. Safe working load limit is 500 pounds. Maximum loader break strength is 1500 pounds.

Just keep in mind that tie down straps need to be chosen according to their safe working load limit. So the weight of your secure cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the straps being used. That's gonna do it for today's look at the Snap-loc cam buckle cinch strap.

  • Recommended Tie-Down Straps for Trailer Storage Cover
Any durable strap system with a sufficient length will work well to tighten up the slack on your trailer's storage cover to help prevent it from billowing in the wind. I recommend using something like the Snap-Loc Cinch Strap # SLTC150CR, which provides you with a 50 foot strap that may let you loop it around the trailer before cinching it down. Using just two or three of these on the cover should do the trick. I have attached a short video review that you can check out as well.
