  • 1-1/8 - 2 Inch Wide
  • 2 Straps

Heavy-duty tie-down straps pair quick-release action with a retractable design for easy loading and unloading. Any unused strap automatically retracts into the housing, and you can quickly release each strap by pushing a button. 4,000 lbs Max load.

Features:

  • Heavy-duty tie-downs let you secure cargo in your truck bed or trailer
  • Retractable straps automatically wind up into the built-in housings with the push of a button
    • Keeps excess strap from tangling or flapping in the wind
  • Ratchet mechanisms make it easy to tighten down straps and maintain tension on straps
    • Handles are easy to grip
  • Push buttons on ratchets quickly and easily release straps when you're ready to unload
  • Zinc-coated steel bodies are corrosion resistant
  • S-hooks have hardened steel cores to ensure that they won't bend or flex
  • Vinyl coating on S-hooks helps prevent scratches on your cargo

Specs:

  • Strap dimensions: 2" wide x 6' long
  • Safe working load limit (WLL): 1,333 lbs
  • Maximum load (break strength): 4,000 lbs
  • Quantity: 2 ratchet straps
  • 90-Day warranty

Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Heavy duty and high quality straps

Comments
I havent used them much, but the few times I have, I very much appreciated not having to struggle with excess strap!

by:

We use these straps to secure our side by side on our trailer . First of al the length is perfect — secondly the quick release is awesome and also helps to roll them up easily and store . Due to the length and design there’s no extra strap to have to tie etc . The durability is excellent. These have made tying and securing on our trailer tremendously easy .I highly recommend these straps !!!

by:

I love the Erickson straps! So much easier to use than others, and saves us a ton of time! I would have given 5 stars but the one negative for me was how quickly the coating came off the hooks.

by:

found the straps to be of good quality easy to use

Comments
after a year the straps still work great with no problems
Mike J - 05/07/2022

by:

Really easy to use and strong. Will hold my 24 ft boat on my trailer with no problem.

by:

The straps work great! I really like the push button release and the self retraction. I also like the fact that there are no loose ends to have to tie up to keep from flying in the wind. Great design!

Comments
I use the straps to tie my motorcycle down on my trailer. They are working out great. I really like that there are no loose straps flying around since they retract into the ratchet device. They are heavy duty and hold the load well.

I like the retractable straps because you don’t have to deal with the excess amount of straps. Very easy to operate.

by:

Very smooth in operation and strong. Easy to use and to adjust to any lengt up to 6 feet. I don't have a lot of experience with them yet, but so far they are excellent and work as advertised. I would recommend these.

by:

I know a strap is not very exciting but these have saved me hours of untangling. Also I am no longer dragging around excess straps on the road causing safety hazards. I love these straps and guard them from my friends and family. A little pricey but worth it.

by:

These straps make it so fast and easy when using our side by side on our trailer. When we go on group rides, we pull up with our 14’ tilt trailer. Take those self retracting straps off in about 2 minutes and drive our Rzr off the trailer and ready to go. Same thing when the ride is over. We are loaded up and ready to go in a few minutes. One of our neighbors has a set after seeing that. So nice not to have to worry about excess strap coming loose or flapping around when driving. These things are awesome, highly recommend.

by:

Been using these a while, so I bought a couple more here. Obviously there's no stray strapping to deal with in this design. I find the tool is well (sturdily) constructed, functions consistently (no false releases or anything strange), and is a pleasure to use and just works great so far.

eTrailer has been a great place to buy things as well... stuff ships quickly, is packaged professionally, and the folks are helpful. (thanks George!).

Still Lovin em after a year. Everything I wrote still stands. Thank you eTrailer.

Like them a lot very heavy duty
And
not mounted to trailer so they don’t get put in the salt water.

by:

These things worked okay for a while, but they started getting tough to work with and to get the release pressed down pretty quick. I've had them about a year and still use them as back ups if my others are in use, but I would recommend the cargobuckle's over these without question.

by:

IN MY VIEW, THESE ARE THE GREATEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD AS APPLIES TO TIE DOWNS. NO LOOSE "TAIL" HANGING OUT TO FLAP IN THE BREEZE. JUST THE RIGHT LENGTH FOR ATV/UTV USE. VERY ADAPTABLE AND I DON'T NEED ANOTHER BODY NOW TO COMPRESS THE SUSPENSION ON THE ATV OR UTV, EXCELLENT PRODUCT!

Comments
The tie down straps are still working well. However, a couple of them occasionally require the use of channel lock pliers to compress the release mechanism to unlock the strap. This is annoying but my channel lock work around has resolved the issue.
BILL D - 09/23/2017

by:

Far better quality than any other strap I’ve owned.

by:

I have already used the retractable ratchet straps and they work as I expected. I use them to tie down a Polaris Ranger 800 Crew. I can load and unload in a fraction of the time it took using other tie downs. I ordered them on a Sunday, they shipped on Monday and arrived at my house on Wednesday. Excellent service.

by:

Best price and superior product coupled with fast and efficient delivery.

by:

Very good product, well made and easy to use. Straps are very sturdy to secure my 17' fishing boat onto the trailer.

I've been looking locally for these straps but nothing. These are the best straps for hauling side buy sides. You guys had them at a good price and fast shipping too, can't beat that !!!!

Still works like new

I HAVE WRITTEN ABOUT THESE BEFORE AND STILL CONSIDER THEM TO BE AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT. HOWEVER--I HAVE A COUPLE OF THESE (I OWN TEN) THAT WANT TO SEIZE UP--THAT IS, YOU CAN'T GET THEM TO RETRACT WITHOUT USING SOME CHANNEL LOCKS TO COMPRESS THE MECHANISM SO THAT IT WILL RELEASE. THIS IS A BIT OF A PAIN THAT (IN MY VIEW) ERICKSON NEEDS TO CORRECT.

Comments
I still like the Erickson tie-downs. They are quite stout for tying down my Yamaha Wolverine and Grizzlies. However, they are sometimes reluctant to retract and I find I need an assist from my channel locks to compress them enough to release. Regardless, they are still far superior to any cam-lock tie-down and do not have the annoying tails of standard ratchet tie-downs.

I used these to secure my Kubota tractor to the trailer. They worked great

  • Strap Recommendation for Securing Spare Tire to a Rhino Rack Cargo Basket part # RMCB
I would go with a ratchet strap like the part # 34414 to secure a spare tire to the Rhino Rack Cargo Basket part # RMCB that you referenced. This strap has S-hooks on either end of the strap which would make them easy to attach to the cargo basket. I would run both straps since that last thing you would want would be a spare tire flying off the basket at highway speeds.

  • How to Operate Ratchet Straps for Tying Down Cargo
Using a ratchet strap is fairly easy once you learn the basics. Play with the levers and releases before you start trying to strap something in. Learn how the devices work, and how to use it should become clear. If you think of the ratchet as a jaw, you would open it up to 180 degrees. Slide the strap through the slotted spool. Pull most of the slack out, but leave some because the ratchet will need some strap to start an even wrap on the spool. Make sure you keep the straps straight...

Yes. The Rola # 59502 is rated to carry up to 600-lbs, so as long as your truck has a tongue weight capacity of 475-lbs (the weight of your chair and the carrier combined) this will work well for you. You may want to add some ratchet straps like the Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps w/ Push Button Releases - 2" x 6' - 1,333 lbs - Qty 2 # 34414 if you don't already have some.

I can help you get the right straps for your Rhino and utility trailer. I recommend the Erickson # EM34420, this kit includes 4 straps rated for 500lbs each. Since tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL), when all 4 straps are used together it will give you a working load limit of 2,000lbs, which is more than enough to secure your Rhino to your trailer.
