Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're going to be looking at the Taylor Made dock edging. This helps to give a nice soft cushion so that whenever your boats come to the dock, they're not going to be hitting any kind of hard materials. This helps to reduce the amount of scratches and dents and dings and things like that as you're docking. So it's going to be this semi flexible vinyl material. That's going to be the outer layer.
The inner layer is going to be an eco-friendly core that's made out of 85% recycled materials. As it comes to you, it's a little bit out of shape, but if you put this in the sun, usually that will allow it to kind of soften up and lay flat before you install it. So that would be my suggestion to actually get this to conform to the shape you want it to be, because in transit it gets a little bit wonky as you can see.But you can see a cross section of it there as far as how it looks, kind of a little bevel in it to give a little bit of cushion so that as things hit, there's a little space there. So it's not just hitting directly on the surface. Pretty easy to install, you just want to cut it to length and then use nails or screws into the sides to attach it to any kind of material.
The hardware for that is not included. It's going to depend on what the dock material you're attaching it to is. It measures 10 feet long, and then three and five eighths of an inch tall, and one and three eighths of an inch thick. So it should be a good amount of length to get you rolling. This is made in the USA.
