Tired of relying on your side mirrors, an unsafe glance over your shoulder, or just praying there's nobody in your blind spot when changing lanes? Back up without the worry of getting smoked by another vehicle speeding by or hitting a distracted pedestrian on their phone. This CUB blind spot monitoring system conceals advanced radar sensors inside the bumper to give you a clean, factory look. The sensors monitor adjacent lanes, even in areas with low reception such as tunnels and mountains, and the pillar-mount LED indicators provide audible and visual alerts from inside your vehicle, ensuring complete safety when hitting the open road in your car, truck, van, or SUV.
The blind spot detection feature tracks and alerts you of other vehicles entering your blind spot. It automatically activates when your vehicle exceeds 15 MPH and begins to monitor other vehicles when they enter the "Warning Zone" starting at 75' away. Once a vehicle is within 16' or approaching at high speeds and within 2 seconds of potential impact, the LED indicators will illuminate to the corresponding side.
Lane change alert warns you of vehicles approaching prior to changing lanes. This feature activates when both the vehicle exceeds 15 MPH and the turn signals are in use. It begins to monitor other vehicles when they enter the "Warning Zone" starting at 75' away. Once a vehicle is within 2 seconds of potential impact, the LED indicators will beep and flash to the corresponding side of the activated turn signal.
Rear cross traffic alert warns you of approaching vehicles or pedestrians while backing up. It automatically activates when the vehicle is placed in reverse and begins to monitor low-speed rear cross traffic starting at 60' away. Once a vehicle or pedestrian is within 2 seconds of potential impact, the LED indicators will beep and flash to the corresponding side of the oncoming rear traffic.
The door open warning alerts to vehicles and cyclists approaching when parked on a busy street. It automatically activates when your vehicle is stopped but running with hazard lights on or when the engine is turned off. The feature deactivates 5 minutes after the vehicle is turned off, giving your plenty of time to safely hop out of your car without another vehicle or cyclist zipping by.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at Etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at this CUB blind spot monitoring system for cars, trucks, and SUV's. Now this is an advanced blind spot monitoring system, which will provide blind spot detection, lane change alert, rear cross traffic alert, and door open warnings. It is designed for most cars, vans, trucks, and SUV's. The kit will include everything laid out here on the table. Just want to zoom in so we can go over the pieces here.
We'll start with the left and right blind spot sensors. It includes the control unit right here, has the left and right warning indicators, the buzzer over here, power button right here, couple of the wiring harnesses, right here is the OBD2 cable, and this bag will contain some connectors, wire ties, they even include a whole drill bit. Does come with some instructions and an operation guide that'll describe how these install and how they work, but basically the system will monitor blind spots for increased safety while you're driving your vehicle. This is compatible with vehicles that are equipped with rear plastic bumpers only. These sensors will go in the bumper at the rear of the vehicle.
They are not compatible with fiberglass, metal or carbon fiber bumpers. They do work in areas with low reception, such as through tunnels or on mountains. Now this blind spot detections will monitor adjacent lanes for up to about 75 feet. And they automatically activate when the vehicle exceeds 15 miles per hour. The two indicators right here, these are a pillar-mount left and right LED indicator.
They'll provide both audio and visual alerts. They alert you to the side of the warning by blinking and admitting an audible tone. The lane change alert, monitors adjacent lanes, and indicates when the vehicles are within the warning zone. It'll activate with use of your turn signals, again when the vehicle exceeds 15 miles per hour. It will detect vehicles approaching at high speeds within two seconds of potential impact.
The rear cross traffic alert, this will monitor for obstacles up to 60 feet behind the vehicle. And it will activate when the vehicles is placed into reverse. And the last detection is the door open warning alert, and this will alert to impending collisions with your vehicle's doors. It activates when the engine is on, the hazards are active and for five minutes after the engine has shut off. Again these sensors, they are concealed, in-bumper installation, has the included connectors and wiring. Right over here, this OBD2 connector works with your vehicle's diagnostic system to ensure accurate readings. They do all these, use automotive-grade weather-tight connectors and wiring harnesses. And this is ISO 17387 type III blind spot detection system standard compliant. But that should do it for the review on this CUB blind spot monitoring system for cars, trucks, and SUV's..
