The Velo Column lets you conveniently store 2 bikes in your home, garage, or office. The floor-to-ceiling rack uses a spring-loaded, telescoping column to secure in place with no drilling required. The lightweight aluminum rack has adjustable arms that allow you to optimize bike spacing, and it includes integrated rubber pads that protect your floor and ceiling from scuffs and scratches.
Easy, Tension-Mount Installation
The rack installs easily between your floor and ceiling with no mounting hardware required. This makes it ideal for spaces such as an apartment or office where temporary installation is necessary. To install, simply place the column between the floor and ceiling, then turn the release knob to extend the column. The top section of the column is spring-loaded to provide a small amount of give as you extend it. This ensures a snug fit between the floor and ceiling.
The rack includes an open-joist mounting bracket if you are installing it in a space with an unfinished ceiling such as a garage or basement. The bracket bolts onto the top pad of the column with included. To install the rack using the bracket simply fit the bracket around the ceiling joist at the desired mounting spot, adjust the column tension as necessary, and secure the bracket to the joist with the included hardware.
Adjustable Arms
The Velo Column includes 4 adjustable steel arms that allow you to store 2 bikes horizontally by the top tubes. The arms slide up and down the column to ensure proper bike spacing. To adjust an arm simply loosen the bolt with an Allen wrench (not included), slide the arm to the desired position, and re-tighten the bolt to secure the arm in place. You can also add up to 2 expansion kits (sold separately) that allow you to store a total of 4 bikes on the rack.
The arms have soft rubber cradles that protect your bike's finish from scratches and scuffs. The cradles include grooves for your brake cables so that they will not get pinched or crimped while the bike is resting on the rack.
