Rightline Gear Sport 2 Rooftop Cargo Bag - Waterproof - 15 cu ft - 44" x 36" x 19"
We drove from Texas to oregon and back with this bag on top of our 2014 Ford Taurus. Along the drive, there was super hot weather, and some crazy storms in the TX panhandle and it worked great - kept everything dry. The car has a moon roof and I was worried the weight would hurt it in some way - crack the glass, cause leaking some how - but it didn't. We had to stop occasionally to tighten down the straps but it was never serious. The eye holes on the zippers are large enough you can put a small lock through it to keep it safe when you are away from the car for short stops, such as at restaurants. When we stayed in a hotel, we would take the bag off and put it in the cab of the car. Something you couldn't do with a hard shell! We put 4 carry-on size suitcases in it and two big pillows and there was still plenty of room for more. I weighed it afterwords and I think we had a total of around 50 lbs in the bag. All-in-all, this is a really good bag.
The first bag I ordered I used very frequently on a 6 week road trip and the zipper started to pull away from the bag itself. Also VERY difficult to unzip first time, even with supplied lubricant. I would say that if you are a senior with failing grip strength this bag is not for you. I returned failing bag to supplier who readily sent me a new one- very pleased with their service! New bad seems a bit smaller, but still is difficult to unzip. These bags DO NOT LEAK in a driving rainstorm, so plus marks there!

Rightline Gear Sport Jr. Rooftop Cargo Bag - Waterproof - 10 cu ft - 36" x 30" x 16"
This worked out great I put itvon top of my 94 honda civic. My order came 2 day delivery right before Christmas. My daughter and I had no trouble strapping it on roof and drove fr St. Charles Illinois all the way to Tacoma WA through rain, wind major snow storm. Nothing got wet inside and the bag didn't move at all. The straps that xame with the product were okay but I also used straps that had a come a long brackets to make it super tight. Best 80.00 I ever spent and love my rooftop luggage bag.
I selected this bag because of the reviews, the price, the fact that it is actually waterproof (not water resistant like so many other products out there) and the fact that the dimensions of the 9cu ft said it should fit within my Rhino Rack RMCB01 roof basket(the 12cu ft model should fit on the roof alone without the basket but that isn't the route I went) As a side note I wanted a roof box but this combo cost me about 1/2 the cost of a good box. I also didn't want to place bag this directly on my roof (which the product is designed to do). I have a cargo net and some straps that will secure it and keep an under-packed bag from flapping around at highway speeds. With a baby on the way, I didn't want to rely on my wife's SUV only, if we have to travel in inclement weather. After it arrived I filled it with our normal suitcase, dog kennel (for small breed) and a couple of bookbags full of clothes with some room to spare. This leaves the hatch space open for the behemoth of a stroller my wife got (and at least another bag or so with the wheels off). We don't have one yet, but I believe with re-arranging of the bookbags I could fit a travel pack n play. For reference the car is a 2010 mazda 3 hatchback. I have not had a chance to test this out on the open road yet or in a rainstorm for that matter so I cannot attest to the actual waterproofing aspect. I also have zero experience with waterproof material but initial inspection the design seems sturdy and maybe its just me but every time i pull the zipper i feel I am going to rip it out(could just be the amount of resistance I'm feeling, as you have to basically bend the "corners" of the bag just right so that the zipper track moves) and I worry about snagging the bag getting mounted even though the material seems tough enough. I am the overcautious type and I may be more delicate with it than I need to be so it'll probably be fine. I may update review after I actually get to use it but from the aspect of why I bought it, what it can store and the price point it fulfills all of that thus far. Size wise I thought it was going to be too small when I ordered but it fits my needs perfectly fine. I was very pleased with etrailer, I checked a few websites that I've ordered from before and this time i paid attention to the other reviewers. Delivery was fast and etrailer even emailed to confirm I had received the product. Lastly, my only complaint was that the factory box the bag came in looked like it had escaped a prison camp then thrown off a cliff. I took photos just in case but the contents were fine so no biggie.

Rightline Gear Sport 3 Rooftop Cargo Bag - Waterproof - 18 cu ft - 48" x 36" x 18"
Purchased this cargo bag on the road and the good folks at etrailer shipped to my hotel with no problems. The product is the perfect match for the Smittybilt Defender roof rack for Jeeps - it fills the dimensions and is 16-18" high providing enough room for a lot of gear. The product write-up is correct - rubberized zipper, fold over top, etc. This is a quality product perfect for the Defender roof rack. Many thanks to Donna at etrailer for her help.
Cargo bag is great!. Waterproof, durable with easy set up and take down (as advertised) PROVIDED TIE-DOWN STRAPS ARE HORRIBLE!!!! Drove from Houston, TX to Miami, FL. Stopped in Bonifay FL to rest for the night. During the 10 hour drive to Bonifay, I had to pull over at least 10 times to adjust and/or tighten the straps. They did not stay tight. Over time they would work themselves loose and start to slap the top of the vehicle. That night I was going to fold it up pack our luggage in the Tahoe and return the cargo bag as soon as I got back from our vacation. I was very happy with the cargo BAG so I decided to go to the local WalMart and purchase a few ratchet straps instead. Once I tied down the cargo bag with the new straps, instantly it felt more secure. I threw the provided straps in the trash. We didn't have any problems for the rest of the trip to Miami including the 18 hour drive home. Something needs to be done with the cheap plastic clips on the provided tie-down straps. They do not stay tight. Over time they work themselves loose and start to slap the top of the vehicle. I knew the load wasn't going to go anywhere so a few times I would just let it slap the top of the truck for miles because I was tired of dealing with it. I would definitely recommend this product, but If you are going to purchase this product I would suggest you use a couple ratchet straps, it will definitely make your trip a lot less stressful.

Thule Interstate Rooftop Cargo Bag - Water Resistant - 16 cu ft
I really like this bag. Fits basket! And you can stuff a lot into it. Not hard to take on and off. We did not have any issues with rain either!
The waterproof outer shell quickly (after a couple months) developed small holes/cracks that slowly seep water in the rain. The bag therefore lost its water resistant feature. Otherwise the bag is easy to install, lightweight (compared to hard shell alternatives), and I found it reasonably easy to access, open, and close. Before the small holes, the bag was water resistant. I took it on a trip in the rain and there were no leaks.

Curt Cargo Bag for Roof Basket - Waterproof - 13.5 Cu Ft
I live in western Washington widely known for one persistent weather condition. Rain and plenty of it. Anything I pack in the Curt rooftop bag ALWAYS comes out dry. 5 star satisfaction period.
I have not been able to use the product on a trip yet, which will happen in mid Sepember. So far I have tried packing with the basket on the ground and it looks like it will hold all that I need it to. I am anxious to see how it works on the mid September trip. Contact me again the end of September to get a review about it's performance

Rhino-Rack Rooftop Cargo Bag - Waterproof - 12 cu ft - 47" x 37-1/2" x 11-1/2"
We run a private SUV service in Colorado and just purchased our third Rhino Rack RRLB 350. This rooftop bag offers 12 cubic feet of capacity and has been used in several wet weather conditions without a single issue. This bag has kept our clients personal belongings dry in every storm, period. This 350 Model will easily hold two LARGE suitcases and one medium suitcase. If you need to hold more than that, there are two other models that offer more capacity than the 350.
Excellent product, completely waterproof. Bag was easy to install with adjustable straps everywhere. Bag compresses nicely after your items are inside. Very happy with the product!

Rightline Gear Car Back Carrier - Waterproof - 13 cu ft - 40" x 20" x 28"
I have a Nissan NV 200 cargo van. This lets me carry stuff without being cartop and reducing mileage and in lieu of little trailer to reduce speeds to less than interstate highways. It it can ride high enough that the backup camera is not blocked. This appears to be WELL MADE. There was no cartop carrier so I have fasteners 300# rated with SS bolts to the factory provisions for a carton carrier. Just use rated carabiner to attach straps.
Love this bag! We load all our snowmobile gear in it and put it in the bed of our pick up truck. Keeps it dry during our driving trip and it’s only one trip to/from Truck to motel room. Great investment !

Rhino-Rack Rooftop Cargo Bag - Waterproof - 8.5 cu ft - 43" x 31-1/2" x 11-1/2"
It looks and feels like it will do the job! I bought this luggage bag for the recent purchased Rhino-Rack XTray small roof basket. It arrived quicker than originally promised. Unlike the roof basket the luggage bag was boxed well and not damaged in transit like the roof basket was.
Drove across the country with this bag, through rain and wind. Very happy with the bag's performance. When full it never took in water at all. The only issue I had was that I left it on the vehicle overnight in a hotel parking lot with nothing inside it and it rained; because the bag was sitting flat and empty, water got inside and it was a hassle to dry it out the next morning so I could get on the road. I don't fault the bag for this; it is designed to be waterproof when there is enough stuff inside it to give it some height (such that the flaps cover the zippers). If you need a waterproof roof bag I recommend this one; just don't be stupid and leave it on when it's empty!

Rhino-Rack Rooftop Cargo Bag - Waterproof - 7 cu ft - 55" x 19-1/2" x 11-1/2"
Overall I am very pleased with the cargo bag. We did experience leakage after a rain storm however when it was unloaded and laying flat on the car roof. Water leaked through the zipper teeth but I don't think there is any way to avoid that hence the 5 stars rating. Since then I make sure the edges are tucked under so water can't seep in. It's made of tough material and I'm very happy with it's performance.
hey you guys need to market this bag for perfect golf clubs for travel we got both our bage in one of your cargo bag its perfect

Thule Outbound Rooftop Cargo Bag - Water Resistant - 13 cu ft
For the most part this is a good cargo bag. Easy to install and remove. Only issue is zipper has broken
I've used this once and it met my expectations. We will use this rooftop bag once or twice per year. I have not used it in rainy weather so I cannot say anything about the water resistance. It seems like a quality item. The seams, zippers and fabrics are sturdy. It is a bag that straps on to your cars roof rack. It does free up space inside the car. Thule nailed it.

Rhino-Rack Rooftop Cargo Bag - Waterproof - 17.5 cu ft - 59" x 43" x 11-1/2"
Only used it for one trip to Colorado and the bag started coming apart. Had it secured good to roof rack. I really liked this bag, fit my roof rack perfect, maybe I just got a defective one.
Overall this functioned exactly liked I had hoped it would. My application was a 2800 mile round trip during winter. I used the bag in my truck bed of my pickup under a tonneau cover that is not water tight. I figured driving that much during winter I was bound to hit some good snow storms or rain in the south. I did hit heavy rain and snow during the trip and the water proof functionality worked perfectly. The reason for only a 3 star versus a 5 star is that after returning home and unpacking it seems the bottom is not very durable and the suitcases caused wear holes in the bottom. I bought some gorilla tape and patched at least 7 or 8 holes so should be good for next trip and I will try to be extra careful on packing so I do not damage the delicate underbelly.

Rightline Gear Ace 2 Rooftop Cargo Bag - Water Resistant - 15 cu ft - 44" x 34" x 17"
I absolutely do NOT recommend this bag. Details below. Worst bag. Ever. The bag had a lot of promise for $53! The bag seemed to be high quality with a thick outside, nice sturdy zippers, and a few great reviews, however, I must have received a dud or I was punked. I used this bag for a two day trip from Baltimore to New Orleans with mild scattered thunderstorms. As you can see in the photos, the interior liner of the bag, that makes it waterproof, completely deteriorated which allowed copious amounts of water into my belongings. In addition to the liner deteriorating, holes were formed in the bag...holes that I could fit my fists through. Thanks to this bag I had wet clothes, ruined books, and a few damaged electronics. I thought spending $53 on a bag would get me a quality bag. I guess I was wrong. I love etrailer and will continue supporting them, but etrailer you need to consider taking this product out of your inventory. Seriously. etrailer, please let me know if/how I can return this bag for a refund or exchange for a better quality bag. Side Note: Anyone who has this bag, be sure to bind the zip pulls together by intertwining the pulls -- this will ensure the bag will not open because of the wind causing the bag to flap and slowly pry open the bag.
Very Pleased with the performance. Drove from Pennsylvania to Arkansas 900+ miles through winter storm Helena. I used it with the Non-Skid Pad on a 2016 Honda Civic, bare roof. Everything stayed dry, no water leakage anywhere. It was roomier than I had expected, I managed to get a twin size futon, memory foam mattress topper, quilts, blankets & afghan, a husband pillow and a couple throw pillows in it, granted everything was compressed and tied tight, but it fit easily. My only ONLY negative is with the straps, I was not able to get them tight enough to suit so I added 2 additional (the blue ones) straps with ratcheting closure. All straps went through the car with no problem and the carrier did not budge! I did duck tape the front edge of the non-skid mat to keep it from flapping in the wind and making noise.

CargoSmart Rooftop Cargo Bag - Waterproof - 15 cu ft
The bag is excellent but the straps and in particular the snap buckles are cheap pieces of crap. We just returned from vacation and all but two snap buckles failed. I could change out the snap buckles but they are sewn into the fabric. If the buckles were good this bag is great.
The bag has good capacity and it kept our things dry on the drive to the beach during a decent downpour. Unfortunately two of the four straps broke on the first use. Luckily I had extra tie downs to hold it in place. If you’re going to use plastic buckles for your straps then they need to be strong. These apparently are not. I’m not sure if my experience is one-off or if this is common for this product. Would have rated at least four stars if not for the straps.

Curt Cargo Bag for Roof Basket - Waterproof - 21 Cu Ft
One year update: Still love this cargo bag. Its really well made and still looks new after a year of traveling. Its definitely water proof and has kept our luggage dry through some strong southern US storms.
Extremely satisfied with this product. Curt was the only brand that promoted “waterproof”, not just that but it was the exact size that was needed. Just finished a 2000+ mile trip to Michigan’s UP. We went through a few “toad stranglers” w/o a drop of moisture within the cargo bag. The bag is made of quality coated fabric. The zippers & seams are heavy duty & withstood the high demand of accessing cargo while on the road. Cannot comment on the tie down straps that came w/ the bag b/c we did not use them, using ratchet straps was a little more familiar to secure the bag to our roof basket. Over all a 5 star product. Would purchase again in a heart beat.

Rightline Range 2 Rooftop Cargo Bag - Water Resistant - 15 cu ft - 40" x 36" x 18"
We love this product and we're so happy to know you still carry it as we've purchased this same product many years ago with some very long trips (13 hours) using it. It is a soft carrier so it holds a lot and allows you to be efficient in how you pack it. Our SUV does not have a roof rack so the door clip design allows it to function with any type of vehicle. It is very durable and rain resistant and we driven through torrential downpours with none of our things being damaged or affected by water. I highly recommend this product for anyone who takes long trips and need the extra space within your vehicle. Also, make sure you have the zippers in the back of the carrier and not in the front as wind will get in and damage your carrier. I made this mistake after many years of use, which is one reason I am replacing it. Totally my fault. Enjoy!
This rooftop cargo bag is amazing! Can hold an incredible amount of cargo and is well made and designed. First use was on my wife's 2 dr BMW coupe with no roof rails and a short roof line so we mounted it perpendicular to normal with no issues. Our son made a move from Louisville to Delaware and then again from Delaware to North Carolina with great results. He liked it so much we'll never get it back.
