You're going to be adding roughly 24-1/2" to the total length of the vehicle. As far as ground clearance goes, it's going to be right about 10" at the bottom of the basket. Now the closest point to the vehicle is going to be roughly 3-1/2". Now the cargo basket, it is made out of steel.

Today on our 2017 Toyota Corolla we're going to be taking a look at the CURT 20 by 48 cargo carrier, part number C18110. Now, as you can see, we already have our cargo carrier mounted up to our car. Now let's go ahead and take a few measurements. Overall, it's going to add right about 27-1/2" to the total length of the vehicle. The closest point to the vehicle is going to be right around 8". As far as ground clearance goes, the lowest point at the cargo carrier itself is going to be right at 12". Now these are great for getting any gear out of your car, making sure everything, if it's dirty, wet, damp, or anything like that, you don't want to mess up your interior.



Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2011 Toyota Corolla

Today on our 2011 Toyota Corolla well be test fitting the Curt 20x48 cargo carrier for both inch and a quarter and 2 inch hitches. Now, our Corolla is equipped with an inch and a quarter class one hitch, so with the spacer removed from our cargo carrier were ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. Well slide the carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pinhole and install our anti-rattle bolt. We can then tighten it down. With it tight, well install our safety pin which will secure our cargo carrier to the vehicle. Now, our ground clearance with this carrier is 11 inches and it will add additional 21 inches to the overall length of our vehicle.
