Whispbar Roof Ski and Snowboard Carrier Review - 2014 Toyota Camry

Today on our 2014 Toyota Camry, we're going to be test-fitting the Whispbar locking roof tops ski and snowboard carrier, with the 6-ski or 4-board capacity in silver. Its part number is WB-300. With the Yakima Q towers roof rack system already installed on our Camry, we'll begin our test fit by grabbing the front half of our carrier and placing it onto our front load bar. We'll bring the black rubber coated metal strip around the underside of our load bar, fit it into the foot of the carrier. We'll then press the large black button located here at the end, to open our top jaw. With our jaw open, we'll reach in with the black lever located on this side. This will release the small gray catch. We can then cam our black buckle closed, taking that lever down just a little bit, and press it down to secure the catch over the buckle.

Today on our 2012 Toyota Camry, we'll be test-fitting the Yakima FatCat 6 Locking Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Carrier with the Six Ski or Four Board Capacity, part number Y03088. We'll begin our test fit by opening up the carrier and placing it onto our front crossbar. With the carrier open exposing the two black levers, we can loosen them up and bring the rubber-coated steel straps around the underside of the crossbar, and hook it back onto the top bracket of the carrier. We'll then tighten down the black lever and clamp it down, securing the front part of the carrier to the front crossbar. We'll then repeat the same steps for the rear part of the carrier. With both pieces secured to both crossbars, we're ready to load on some gear. We'll push in the oversized buttons at the end of the carrier to open up the jaws. We'll place in our skis and snowboard, and clamp them down, securing our gear to our carrier.
