Derale Stacked-Plate Engine Oil Cooler Kit w/ Sandwich Adapter (Multiple Threads) - Class III
I bought this engine oil cooler so I could pull my 21 foot boat with my 2016 Ford Explorer. I am very pleased with how it works. It was easy to install even with having to remove the bumper cover so I could attach it to the front of the radiator. I would buy another one if I ever needed to. I would also buy from etrailer again, they have great prices and products.
Installed the Derale engine oil cooler today. Excellent kit installed without any problems. Parts were very complete. I am pleased with the proiduct.

Derale Plate-Fin Engine Oil Cooler Kit w/ Adjustable Sandwich Adapter (Multiple Threads) - Class V
just one problem the sandwich adapter will not fit on a 2008 Avalanche 4x4 the front drive shaft is in the way had to modify
This is a real nice kit. The oil cooler that was in the kit i receive had brackets on each side. The one picture online item # D15405 does not have it. Which was fine because the holes line up with a/c condenser on left side looking at it. Bolted it right on looks like it came factory install. Real please with it so far as lower oil temps down to 200 degrees when under a hard pull. Oil temp before kit was running at the highest was 255 degrees. Highly recommend this kit. The shipping was also fast.

Derale Atomic-Cool Remote Engine Oil Cooler Kit w/ Fan - Class V
Oil cooler works great, Only thing that I have an issue with is I can not use my stock oil filter with it. I have a 1992 Chevy K3500 with a 454 tonawanda 7.4 liter. In the instructions it is telling me to use a filter that is for a 350 or a 5.6 liter. But I was told by Derale that I should have no issues at all.
This is a good cooler however on a 4 wheel drive avalanche it's a challenge to get it installed in a position that will work with all of that equipment under there. I pinched the oring a little bit and it's leaking very slightly. On the next oil change I'll replace the oring, other than that this cooler works great.

Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Engine Cooler Kit w/ Fan, -8 AN Inlets - Class V
Love my engine oil cooler. I was having overheating problems with my Dodge truck while towing on a hot day. I asked the guys at etrailer if I should add a bigger radiator, and engine oil cooler or another tranny cooler. They nailed it when they recommended a supplemental engine oil cooler. I now can town my fifth wheel RV trailer on the hottest days and in the mountains without overheating. I do still have to watch the temps and if they start to get over 260 f or so I downshift a gear or two to get greater fluid flows. The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is that with the supplied hose clamps I was plagued with constant slow leaks. I finally bought a much higher end hose Clamp which did solve the problem.
I was surprised at the lack of feedback on these products, and the differences in opinions. I tow a fare amount, between 7000lbs and 9500lbs. My vehicle is a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 8 speed transmission. ( outside temperature 20-30 deg Celsius ). Before I installed this engine cooler my temperature ran around 115 deg Celsius on a flat pull and 130 - 135 deg Celsius on most hills. After a hill it took a long time to drop in temperature, most time it hardly dropped. Now I rarely see 115 deg Celsius on a hill, and recovers to 100 deg Celsius very quickly. So in short I'm very happy with this product. I would recommend it to anyone that Tows.

Derale Stacked-Plate Engine Oil Cooler Kit w/ Non-Thermostatic Sandwich Adapter - Class III
I am extremely disappointed in this product. Installation has been a nightmare, even being someone that has automotive experience. From etrailer.com's recommendations to other customers I purchased this oil cooler for my 2010 Dodge Journey. DON'T! Unless you have access to some way to make a custom mounting bracket mounting is impossible. This CANNOT be mounted using the supplied method due to the stock cooling fan mounting shroud. After making my own mounting brackets from aluminum this cooler has done nothing but leak. It uses adapters, attached to adapters to make the connections to the tank, they leak. To attach the lines to the sandwich plate the instruct you to use teflon tape, or a similar sealant. With the temperatures and pressures involved keeping this from leaking took several attempts, not to mention oil sprayed all over the underside of my vehicle, including my brakes, and the front of my brand new trailer. Overall a very, very disappointing experience with this product.
Save your money. Two big problems. First, the sandwich plate adapter continues to work loose causeing an oil leak. I've removed the filter and retourqed to Derale specs a couple of times and it eash time after a couple of days it starts to leak again. Derale tech support was not at all helpful, they said, hmmmm, maybe tighen it a litte more, which I did, and it didn't help. Second issue is this cooler is very small, I installed it on a Ram 1500 5.7l and it made no noticable difference in the engine oil tempure when towing. I considered buying a larger cooler core and asked Derale tech support for some sizing guidance and their best response was put as big a one as will fit. Lot of science going on there. Couldn't give me any information regarding input and output temps vs flow, sizeing guidelines by displacement, nothing, no data of any kind seemed available. I'll make one more attempt to reseal, retighten, try a new o-ring etc. It doesn't work it's coming off and going in the trash. Overall the kit is sized for a very, very small application, maybe your riding lawn mower, that should be indicated. On a full size 1/2ton pickup this does next to nothing for your oil temp. Unfortunately tech support from Derale was no help whatsoever and showed not interest in helping trouble shoot or solve the problem. Very disappointing, I'd look else where.

Derale Plate-Fin Engine Oil Cooler Kit w/ Spin-On Adapter (3/4-16 Threads) - Class V
2009 GMC Yukon XL towing a 7,800lb travel trailer from California to South Carolina..... I don't believe the Yukon would have made this journey if it wasn't for the oil cooler and additional -to the stock- transmission cooler. Dragging the travel trailer through the mountains during the heat of the summer was taxing. However, my engine temp barely went past the 12 o'clock position and transition never got above 190 F. Before installing these my engine temp would go to the 1-2 o'clock position and transmission temp would get up to 210 F. Highly recommend this product. Just make sure you have a filter that fits the adapter before installing. Just take the adapter to the auto parts store and find one that spins on it.

What our customers are saying:
"WOW! I am impressed! I called to place my order and real person answered, spoke perfect English, albeit a slight southern accent, and my order was sent within a day, shipped quickly and I had it a few days later. I saved over a hundred dollars over local and installed it my self. I cant imagine how that they could do any better. THANKS!"
