I purchased this JA-5000S-B Sidewind jack for my 20' Car Hauler because I added a Harbor Freight toolbox that was taller than my top wind jack. This one is somewhat taller than the one replaced and moves the wind handle toward the truck. In my case the tailgate still drops and clears the handle by 10" or so. The jack is a little slower than the last one but has a higher weight rating (5000 lbs) etrailer always helps with the selection and has been a great resource.

Existing job site trailer jack broke Thursday. Menards, Home Depot, Northern tool, Mill didn't have the needed style in stock. Ordered it up and got here on Saturday. Perfect fit and higher weight rating than previous jack. Cranks smooth.

After the gears on my original/stock A-frame sidewind jack had stripped and failed (BAL 2000 mounted on my 2017 Forest River Rockwood mini-lite model 2306 with a dry weight of 4005 lbs), I replaced it with another BAL 2000 sidewind model which lasted less than 6 months before the gears also had stripped and failed. After reviewing numerous A-frame jack sidewind models, I decided to purchase the Bulldog A-frame sidewind model with a rating of 5000 lbs and a 15" lift. I also purchased the corresponding foot pad to help with the distribution of weight. The installation was straightforward and simple and so far, I have not experienced any functional issues with the jack. For anyone searching for and in need of a high quality and capable A-frame sidewind trailer jack, I would highly recommend this particular model.

Purchased to stabilize my recently obtained trailer for hauling my tractor. The jacks add a great deal of security and safety to the operation by allowing me to block the downward movement of the rear of the trailer while driving the tractor onto it, then being able to remove them once loaded for transport.

Better than wood the breaks every six months even with a shoe. Doesn't provide a food source for stinging and biting critters. They may live there by there's no wood to munch on.

Bought the jack for a very heavy no till grain drill. Jack was well built and handled the tongue weight fine

Was having issues with the trailer lifting the backend of my truck when I loaded tractors. When I would drive the tractor on the back of the trailer would go down from the weight on the rear which caused the front of the trailer to lift the backend of my truck. So, I bought a couple of the Square, Pipe Mount, Swivel Jacks with Footplates and a Drop Leg. They are Topwind, 7K, Jacks. I had them welded on. This should stop the issue I'm having. I know the 7K was a little over kill but the price was great.

Pretty good. I camp with my trailer. Which to me means dirt, grass etc. I also hang out in trailer suburbs, aka “campgrounds “. This is far less stable than my previous stack of wood, and can feel pretty sketchy on lumpy, uneven ground. In fact I’ve had my tongue jack slip off once. For now I’m sticking with it, but I’m very cautious of how it’s sitting when I disconnect from my truck. On off-level spots (the majority of where I camp), it’s completely normal for the trailer to shift forward or back a bit when I disconnect, and his stand can get really wobbly when that happens. I have to take my time and readjust till it sits solid/flat and I’m comfortable it’s stable.

If you're looking for a robustly built, long lasting Jack for your boat this would be THE product you're looking for. We previously purchased other jacks that did not last, became hard to crank, and ultimately failed. I'm glad I purchased this.

I have used the Jack several times and works excellent. Well built. I leave it off the trailer and will use it on other trailers which have pipe mounts, as the trailer I bought it for is used infrequently. All the people that work at etrailer were very helpful in getting the right jack for my needs. I will be rebuilding another bulldog jack and will order parts when I determine what is required to repair it.

Original jacks arrived damaged by shipper in transit. etrailer sent replacements right away and a prepaid label to return damaged products. Replacements arrived shortly afterwards, thank you. Jacks themselves are well made, sturdy and easy to use. Swing away feature also allows jack to be physically removed from trailer and stored elsewhere, an especially important feature as the jack could otherwise be easily removed and stolen if left on trailer tongue. I installed this on a construction tool cargo trailer. This trailer is outfitted with solar and a battery bank so an electric jack was a no brainer since I already had plenty of power storage. I didn't want to install in the stock jack location so that I could fully open my truck's tailgate. I was able to find a bolt-on jack bracket from a different online store, which made for a easy installation without welding. The same electrician that installed the solar and batteries wired the jack into the elec system and he said it was slick. The trailer has several thousand pounds of tongue weight and this jack has no problem lifting it. The memory settings are handy. This saves quite a bit of time connecting and disconnecting. With the push of a button the trailer jack lifts or lowers automatically while I deal with the safety chains, break away cable, and 7 prong plug. Just as advertised it lifts very quickly even under load. It was installed about a year ago and it's still going strong. I give this a 5 star rating without hesitation. Strong, durable, and well made.

I have had 6 trips with the Phoenix 4000 and it worked great for first 4 . Hooking up for 5th trip I pressed button to raise . Button lite up for a second then turned off. Trailer did not raise . I turned power off then back on hoping to reboot and it worked. It failed again at camp . I used ratchet to operate. When I got home I found 30 amp fuse blown inside of camper . I replaced fuse . I also believe inline fuse provided was loose at spring so I replaced with30 amp blade style fuse . It has worked perfectly now and hoping it will continue.

Really quick shipping. Shipping box was not in the best shape and part of the footplate was protruding from the box. Looks like it will be a perfect replacement for a 25 year old jack on my gooseneck horse trailer. I will get the old one cut off and this new one welded on as soon as the weather warms up.

My horse trailer is 20 years old and I thought that overnight I'd aged 40 years when I could no longer crank the jack up or down! I looked on line after a 20 something friend suggested that the jack needed to be replaced. He helped me crank the old one down and thought that he'd hurt his back. I ordered this Bulldog Square Jack on a Sunday afternoon. It was delivered to my trailer guy on Wednesday about noon. My guy swapped out my old jack for this one in about 2.5 hours. When I picked up my trailer, I tried the new jack and realized that once again, I was 64 years young!! It operates smooth as silk!!
