24x60 Reese Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
The rack is much bigger than my previous one. I was disappointed that it was made in China instead of the USA. It assembled very easily and the light kit works very well. The only draw back is I can no longer open my tailgate with the rack installed due to the spare tire hitting the raised rack.
The carrier was exactly what I was expecting. High quality, powder coated, and heavy duty. This will allow me to transport my mower, pressure washer, cooler, and anything that I do not want inside my Jeep. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

19x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Aluminum - Folding - 500 lbs
Purchased this 1 year ago. Worked awesome for a 9.000 mile cross country trip with three off road adventures at geology tour road Joshua tree, west side road Death Valley, and kingman wash lake mead. No rattle, always secure, great clearance. Would purchase again.
Cargo Carrier is just as advertised well made and light weight. Delivered on time. Always nice doing business with etrailer.

24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
We just installed our carrier. We love that this is going to free up a lot of space for our vacation traveling. Very heavy duty and bigger than i was thinking it would be.The pin that holds the carrier in the hitch was not included. It would have been an added bonus if it was.
Easy to assemble, nice and solid cargo tray! Bought it with the hitch bracket. Note: no hitch pin included.

Yakima SkyBox 18 Rooftop Cargo Box - 18 cu ft - Black Carbonite
I replaced an old Thule box with this. My opinion is that the locking mechanism, the clamping system, and the hinges are superior to the Thule's. Especially the locking mechanism. I used to have to wrestle the Thule box to get things lined up so that I could close and lock the box. And the bonus is that this box was less money (than an equivalent Thule) and eTrailer shipped it for free!
Fit was perfect will be using it for a long time to come it heavy for one person to try and load it up on the vehicle though

Thule Pulse Large Rooftop Cargo Box - 16 cu ft - Matte Black
This was purchased off of the etrailer.com website as a "damaged" item at a significantly reduced price. The description on the website described the damage very well and the cargo box has no functional issues of any kind. Also, the cargo box arrived much earlier than I anticipated. Furthermore, when I noticed that the box arrived with the load securing straps missing I emailed etrailer customer support and they had Thule send me two new ones right away. Couldn't be more pleased with etrailer and this cargo box. It fits my 2014 Honda CRV with factory crossbars with just a little bit of rear hatch interference (restricts opening by maybe an inch or two, but can still fully use the rear hatch). Can't speak to durability quite yet as I've only used the cargo box a few times to transport skis and snowboard and plan to use it year-round for road trips. A really great, simple cargo box!
This was a much needed addition for a drive back to Tucson, AZ from a three month stay in Portland. ME, as we had acquired some extra things and needed more space than our 2015 Honda CRV provided. This fit on top of the rhino vortex aero roof rack I also purchased from e-trailer perfectly. The cargo box functioned as expected, and although we ultimately could have used a slightly larger cargo box, this one worked great for giving us extra space in our car for the drive home. It was easy to mount and opened easily, although it was a bit tricky to load, a step ladder would have helped. It was tough to close, we had to move some stuff around to get it to latch, but I appreciated that it would not lock unless the latches could fully engage, which made me feel like it was going to remain closed while traveling. We wasted no time putting stickers on it, and added more along the drive home, which was fun. We traveled through many different types of weather, it was late spring and was rainy in the beginning of our trip, and very hot towards the end of our trip, and the contents were in perfect condition when we arrived home. There was zero water damage inside, and nothing was damaged from being in the heat. Of course there was some reduced gas mileage and added road noise when traveling, but nothing too unbearable. Also, service and shipping from etrailer was excellent.

23x47 Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 4" Rise - Folding - 450 lbs
After purchasing a 2018 Honda CR-V Touring, my honey-to-do-task of having to bring trash to the dump every week must be done. I am not a big fan of placing trash inside my new car, despite having a rubber liner. So I purchased the Curt 2 inch receiver hitch and had it installed by my local mechanic. I did not want to have to hook up my small utility trailer to go to the dump since I have to go to work and park in a parking garage after making my trash drop off. I came across this Carpod M2205 walled carrier. I am thrilled with this and like the way it folds up when not in use. There was a simple assembly process to go through after it was received (quick shipping by the way). It is a little heavy placing into the hitch receiver, but note it is easier to place it into the hitch when folded up. I wrapped a piece of duct tape around the exact place of the insertion bar to line up the holes of the hitch pin. Its carrying capacity is well within what I need, and I am quite impressed. There is not much movement of the carrier while driving except for big bumps or potholes. This is an excellent alternative to carrying household garbage inside my new car. The walls are held in place with metal pins and a strap, that is a little short and could be a little bit longer. That would be my only complaint about using this car carrier. Otherwise, I highly recommend this for anyone who needs to carry items outside or to need more space.
I purchased this for a 800-mile round trip vacation to Mammoth Lakes. It greatly extended the amount of luggage and gear we could bring with us, as we head 4 adults and a dog in the car. I could hardly tell the cargo carrier was back there while driving, and it didn't impact my gas mileage at all. I assembled and installed this myself, and it was super easy (although would be easier with a second set of hands.) I also purchased a stretchy net cargo cover, which allowed us to pack above the the actual height of the carrier itself. I attached my license plate to the cargo carrier work zip ties, although I will need to get a bracket with lights for the future of doing nighttime driving. I have no regrets on this purchase and highly recommend!

23x59 Stromberg Carlson Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
I have used this carrier on multiple trips since buying it last year. It provides plenty of extra space and has several holes in the framework for using tie down straps. Overall I’m happy with the purchase. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the bolts that hold the two sides together tend to come loose a little and allow one side to sag. It’s quick and easy to fix so not a big deal. I would recommend this carrier because it works well and is a good value.
A good size and very strong. I like the fact that it has a grated bottom, as opposed to a few bars like many of its competitors. There are many holes and notches present for any customization desired. Also makes for a great chair to relax. I also ordered the anti-rattle pin so as to fasten this tightly to the hitch. IMO that should be included with any of these trailer-hitch-Mount accessories.

20x47 Reese Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" Hitches - Steel - 300 lbs
This is great cargo basket: solid and secure, easy assembly, well designed. The angled neck keeps the basket well away from the ground; I haven’t had any problems with it bottoming out. My first use was actually on a trip back from Florida following Powered Paragliding training. I was intending to bring back just a Paramotor (which would have stood vertically inside the basket), but ended up bringing back a whole Trike assembly! Mounted it on the basket as shown, and it rode just fine back through four states. Got a lot of looks on the way home! I concur with an earlier reviewer that a neat trick is to use a stabilizer strap from the hitch to the corner of the basket. There is plenty of slop in the receiver when the neck is inserted, and a short ratcheting tie down cancels the rattle effectively. I’m very pleased with this purchase; and while I don’t plan to haul around anything as big as that trike, I look forward to many more years of use from it!
First look - not yet loaded up. Ordered this because the less expensive Curt (C18110) was out of stock. It seems like a worthwhile upgrade anyway, with rounded corners and better tie-down options. Finish seems high quality. Significant play exists in the hitch receiver (Curt C11276 - gap visible in photo) to the point that I ordered a hitch immobilizer and don't plan to test the carrier with a full load until that's installed.

Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier for 2" Hitches - With Ramp - 77" Long - 500 lbs
I can't say I'm entirely happy with my purchase. The instructions were more confusing than helpful. Note in "instruction.jpg" photo of STEP 1 that the text says to put the 8 small bolts in from the inside first, but the drawing clearly shows them as going in from the outside. The last step says to place the ramp onto the receiver as shown.... glad I didn't throw away the box because there is no drawing that shows ramp installation. Actually, the photo on the box was more helpful than any of the instructions. Also, I need to make a trip to the hardware store to buy longer medium bolts because the ones that came with the carrier were not long enough to fully engage the self locking feature of the nylon lock nuts. At a minimum a couple of threads should protrude beyond the nylon. See photo "nut.jpg". The bolt threads don't reach the end of the nylon, so the self locking feature is not fully engaged. I did tighten the nut, but that was as far as it would go. I think once I get back from the hardware store with the new medium bolts and after I reverse the 8 small bolts (I followed the drawing and not the text of the instructions), I'll be OK with the carrier.
"Instantly Get Rid of Wobble and Upgrade With Lights" This is not a 5 because ramp should be longer & there should be some type stabilizer to temporary hold bike while strapping down, I'd pay more for those upgrades. The wobble can instantly be solved by hooking Tie-Straps closest to vehicle directly to the receiver where you hook your chains, rather than hooking them to the provided holes on carrier itself. You of course use the provided strap holes ones on the opposite side. When strapped down as stated, the carrier now becomes one with the vehicle & @ 80mph there is no wobble. (*TIP: Put ramp back in its place before strapping down or else it won't fit with the strap hooks in the way.) I upgraded mine with lights for both safety reasons & not needing the Police any reason to pull me over. It was very simple and cost me nothing but time & maybe $50. I recommend this product whole heartedly.

Thule Force XT XXL Rooftop Cargo Box - 22 cu ft - Black AeroSkin
etrailer customer service was excellent from the start. I decided to order by phone. Since I had a few questions. Kate was extremely helpful and even provided her extension for any questions. I received my roof top carrier via freight not only on time but Early! 3 days early. Excellent pricing and free shipping was a bonus. I was very fortunate in regard to this roof top carrier. Etrailer not only had the item-but also an online video review of my exact make and model of Highlander with this carrier. Bonus.
Wide and not too tall profile for being so spacious. I like it better than its predecessor the Thule Atlantis. It's lighter than the Yakima with still an extra cubic foot of space. I wish I could get it to sit even a tad further forward than when the mounting talons are adjusted all the way back. Our van is an Odyssey which unfortunately has fixed crossbars and in my opinion the Honda designers set them too far towards the rear of the roof--choosing look over function. But at least the carrier doesn't contact the rear hatch when open so I'm satisfied.

SportRack Vista XL Cargo Box - Roof Mount - 18 cu ft - Black
Our SportRack cargo box has worked as hoped / advertised since we bought it over a year ago. What initially attracted me to this particular product was the size and design - it holds A LOT, and the way it opens from the back has helped protect our stuff from getting wet and damaged.
The sportrack vista xl is great! This was our first attempt at a roof mounted cargo box and it has preformed exceprionally well! I purchased this as a gift for my wife, to go on her Subaru Crosstrek. We live in western NC, and have used this to go to the outer banks of NC, eastern Tennessee, and even to bring home supplies from Sam's Club! It's super easy and quick to install, even for one person, and we've been fortunate enough to not have a single leak yet; even though we've been through heavy downpours! And there's plenty of room! If you're in the market for a rooftop cargo box this is the way to go.

GearSpace 34 Enclosed Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitch - Slide Out - 34 cu ft - 300 lbs - Dark Gray
We looked all over for a hardshell storage pod, one that would fit 300 pounds of embroidery hardware. This one from Gearspace fit the bill. Super easy checkout with etrailer.com, and they were the only ones to offer free shipping, and since this is a larger, heavier item, that means LTL Freight. Not [online vendor] and not the Mfg. The GearSpace 34 arrived earlier than promised, and it was an easy unload if you have room for a sixty foot tractor trailer. 190 lbs on a pallet, but it will load right into the back of a pickup real easy. Took about 30 minutes to install, and it went like a breeze. Light test, check... signals, check. Ready to roll on our next RV trip, with lots more room for goodies along the way. This item gets an A+, it works as advertised, and etrailer.com was GREAT. They communicate often and update on order status. even sent out an email to get customer feedback and review, along with some pictures. I'm sure after this stellar review they will send me a nice etrailer hat & Koozie Pictures show the Gearspace 34 loaded with about 200 lbs right now. It never moved an inch and is solid on the mounting hitch hardware. You will not be disappointed with this product, it's top of the line for RV rear storage.
We use it all the time on our Coachmen Beyond (transit camper van). We fit our folding bikes and all our camping and boating gear that we don't want to put in the van such as a small grill, chairs, steam vac, dirty laundry, firewood, tents, cords, pressure washer to name a few. Love that it pulls out so we can fully open the back doors. It does get some water in it when it rains at times. Seems pretty solid and secure when we lock it. I do worry that the rubber closures will dry rot at some point and last I knew you can't get replacements. That would be one thing I wish you would add to the parts list if you haven't already. Overall very nice box.

GearDeck 17 Enclosed Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Slide Out - 17 cu ft - 420 lbs - Black
The cargo carrier generally performed as intended, but it took a lot of tinkering and a warranty replacement of the lid to complete things to our satisfaction. On delivery we found that both two aluminum side stiffeners had been bent during shipment, and were replaced fairly quickly. We then found excessive play in the fit with the receiver, and it was impossible to accommodate a "noise reduction clamp" properly at the hitch, so I used part of a bent aluminum stiffener to apply pressure across the connection between the receiver and the hitch. And lastly, the lid section was warped by over 1", which still kept rain out, but did not keep fine dust out, and it was very unsightly. After a bit of discussion, a replacement lid was provided at no cost, which I have not yet had the chance to inspect as it was delivered to our Arizona home over the summer, and we spend the summer in Canada.
The GearDeck meets our needs perfectly. After extensive research, here are the key points for me (I had recent back surgery). 1. The door hinges at the top and is open to the floor. 2. Large capacity. 3. Plenty of clearance when traveling. 4. The cargo carrier slides back so I can easily wash the windows. 5. It was a little pricey compared to other units; however, well worth it. 6. It looks good as an accessory on our Montana fifth wheel. This is a good quality product and I have received many positive comments.

Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket - 64-1/2" Long x 39" Wide x 7-1/4" Tall - 150 lbs
I love the rack and the extended length is great on my Sequoia. I am disappointed with the finish on it as the connector plates are already showing signs of rust….. I like it enough that I’m going to repaint it with something more suited to our climate…
Surface rust and paint discoloration after one year. One of the plastic hand-nuts started stripping/spinning, so I had to run down the opposing one to get it to hold, which means that the stud sticks into the cargo area. Wind deflector isn't even. The wind noise is very loud, I can't open my sunroof while driving anymore. All told, it's probably worth what I paid, but it's not exactly a premium product.

GearSpace 34 Enclosed Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitch - Slide Out - 34 cu ft - 300 lbs - Light Gray
Very pleased with product and the assistance provided for delivery - when the carrier called to arrange delivery their agent said that I'd be responsible for getting the 300# pallet off the truck so I let etrailer.com customer service rep know this was unacceptable and to my reliefthe delivery came on a lift gate truck with pallet jack. The package was in great shape and easy to get mounted to my Transit 350HD.
This GearSpace 34 compliments our Thor Gemini 23TW nicely. Check out the etrailer video for features. Yes, I would recommend purchase.

Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box - 16 cu ft - Black Glossy
Came broken and obviously used already. Just like everything else in my order. Top was scraped up and cling wrap removed. Which I could have lived with. The front right hung was completely snapped off. Which for safety reasons is a big deal. So disappointed with etrailers quality for this order.
We recently used our Thule Motion XT for a trip around the country of around 5000 miles. We used it to haul two snowboards (longest 160 cm) and one set of skis and ski poles, along with all the other gear associated (bindings, boots, etc.). The car topper worked great and has more room that I would have imagined. It is easy to use, the dual side openings have been very helpful, and it is extremely sturdy and stable on top of our Rav4. It did affect the gas mileage somewhat (about 3 - 5 mpg; 35 down to 32), but it is difficult to say how much of that was due to the topper and how much was due to the added load and weight. Even on very windy days, the streamlined topper was no issue. I would highly recommend this to anyone. It is a bit on the pricey end, but it has been well worth it for us.

Yakima EXO Swing Away Storage System w/ 2 Enclosed Cargo Carriers - 2" Hitches
Very easy to install. Total installation time (not counting taking photos and opening boxes) was approximately 15 minutes. The only issue I encountered was the left handle on the lower rack had a broken piece inside the locking pin assembly. Other than that, everything was quick and smooth for a single person job. This will greatly assist my business by allowing more room for passenger comfort on long trips to and from airports with a large party. Looking forward to putting this to use.
Product meets all expectations. etrailer quickly replaced a broken Knob Assembly which was damaged during shipping. Vehicle is an Airstream Interstate 24GT. The swing assembly does restrict the Sprinter's right barn door from opening completely, but not a significant issue. We did add our own rear turn signal lights and license plate holder since the factory rear lights restricted ground clearance.

24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Tilting - Folding - 500 lbs
Super disappointed in this etrailer purchase. The product came in a large box that was fully intact and not damaged. The actual cargo basket was meticulously wrapped and appeared to be brand new as expected. The other components however, like the arm, were in boxes that were smashed, old, worn, and had multiple layers of old tape. The arm itself was scratched and banged up, even rusty in spots. Clearly it was used or had been a returned item. If I wanted a dented, gouged, and rusty Cargo Carrier I would have purchased one used, for half the price. This is not the quality I expect from etrailer.. I have purchased many racks and other items from this company and usually the quality is outstanding. This time they dropped the ball. I have since read other reviews and it is apparent that this is not an isolated incident. I'd have sent it back if it wasn't so damn heavy and awkward to lug around.
Holds all my gear. Just what I was hoping for. Now my dogs have the car all to themselves. Really bummed that there are "Made in China" stickers all over it. I went with etrailer because I thought they were a USA company. I guess no one can turn down that cheap slave labor. Hopefully my gear does not end up on the highway.

Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box - 16 cu ft - Titan Glossy
The Thule was delivered without any problems in May 2022 with no damage, so I’m very happy about that. The large 16 cubic ft rooftop carrier is quite big, but it doesn’t seem to make any noticeable wind noise. I’ve only had it up to 60mh so far on my Honda Civic, but it seems fairly aerodynamic. Not sure how much it will affect the miles per gallon yet. It seems like a very lightweight rig, hopefully it holds up well, but only time will tell. I purchased the gray color hoping it wouldn’t get as hot in the sun as the all black model. Probably wouldn’t have bought it but it’s too costly to drive my truck on long trips due to bidenflation. This should save me some gas money and give our family a little more room to haul stuff in the car. It was very easy to clamp onto the Thule bars I already had, and just as easy to take off. etrailer did a great job, 5stars!
Originally I ordered the glossy black box which wasn't going to be in stock for a couple weeks from the time of my order, which I knew. George notified me within an hour from placing my order and gave me the option to get the gray box which was available right away. A couple weeks later when I thought it would be shipping, I checked the order status page and saw it was pushed back even further. Unfortunately I was not notified about that. When I contacted etrailer, they responded very quickly. I was able to swap out with the gray (same product) and it arrived super quick. I thought they were supposed to schedule delivery but they did not. I woke up one morning to a humongous box outside the door. That’s ok though! The box is great and we just installed it a week ago and are using it for our first weekend away right now. It is huge but fits perfect on my 2019 Mazda CX-9. No issues with hatch or anything. Super easy to get on the roof rack with the clamps. We did have three people to get it up on the car though. It’s only 42 or so lbs but big and clumsy. I drove a little bit with it empty and feel like it chewed gas but coming a couple hours with it filled didn’t seem too bad with the highway miles. Time will tell but still worth it for the space were saving in the back of the car. etrailer had this box when no one else had it (or any other Thule box for that matter) and we had an overall great experience with them and I LOVE the box. My family and I travel a lot and this is a game changer. We fit every duffel bag (like 5 medium to large bags) and then some other bags in there. Highly recommend etrailer and this specific cargo box.

Malone Profile18S Rooftop Cargo Box - 18 Cubic ft - Gray
Super easy to mount on my Malone Microsport trailer. Will add lots of extra space for fishing/camping items. I like that you can open it from either side. My only complaint is the top seems flimsy when opening and closing. Admittedly this is my first cargo box that I have owned so they may all be like this. You have to make sure you use both hands, spread as far apart as you can when opening it. As long as you use both hands to open and close it this shouldn't be an issue. I can't wait to load it up and try it out.
quick-attach clamps are made with a galvanized screw that became corroded and locked up
Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Nissan Quest
Today on our 2016 Nissan Quest we're going to be test fitting the 20 by 48 CURT cargo carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number C18110. This has a 300 pound carrying capacity. On the floor of the cargo carrier you can see that it has this nice mesh flooring. That's going to make it a lot easier to clean. Also around the border of the cargo carrier we have these tie down points which you can use for your ratchet straps or your bungee cords. The cargo carrier does have a slightly raised shank which is going to assist you when you have a particularly low-sitting hitch so you don't have any clearance issues between the cargo carrier or the ground. The exhaust is going to be on the passenger side and face down away from the cargo carrier so you don't have to worry about any heat-sensitive materials when you're loading those up.
Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Nissan Quest
Today on our 2016 Nissan Quest, we're going to be test fitting the 24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches, part number C18152. This has a carrying capacity of 500 pounds. We have this nice mesh floor here on the bottom which makes it easier to clean, and we also have this railing all the way around the cargo carrier which can serve as a tie down point for either your ratchet straps or your bungee chords. I'm going to go ahead and give you some quick measurements now. Measuring from the edge of the bumper to our outer edge, we've added about 33.5" to the rear of the vehicle. For our ground clearance that's going to be about 12", and then our closest point to the bumper is going to be about 8" to this edge here. That same measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole is going to be about 12", so just keep that in mind if you have different style hitches installed on your vehicle that go further out, or come further in.
Rhino Rack Roof Basket Review - 2016 Nissan Quest
Today on our 2016 Nissan Quest, we're going to be test fitting the Rhino-Rack Roof-Mounted Cargo Basket, part number RMCB. This measures 47 inches long by 35 inches wide, and has a carrying capacity of 165 pounds. Although, you want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can withstand that weight. We have a fairing at the front of it here, and that's going to reduce the wind noise and drag while you're driving. We have the 3 feet already installed on it. We'll go ahead and show you how the last one installs. Now, we already have the foot in place, and that's going to be this little bracket right here.
Curt Roof Basket Review - 2016 Nissan Quest
Today on our 2016 Nissan Quest, we're going to be test fitting the Curt cargo rooftop basket, part number C-1-8-1-1-5. This measures forty-one and a half inches long by thirty-seven inches wide by four inches deep. It has a carrying capacity of a hundred and fifty pounds, although you want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure that your roof can withstand that kind of weight. We have this faring here at the front which is going to cut down the wind noise and drag while you're driving and if you would want something that's a little bit longer, Curt does offer an extension you could add to this, which adds about ten inches or so to the back, which you can find on "Etrailer.com". It's very easy to install. We have these U-bolts that just wrap around your actual roof rack and then tighten down with these knobs here.
Thule Roof Basket Review - 2016 Nissan Quest
Today on our 2016 Nissan Quest, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Canyon XT Rooftop Cargo Basket, part number TH859XT. This measures 49 inches long, by 40 inches wide, by 6 inches high at the tallest point, excuse me. It has an aerodynamic shape to it, which will cut down wind nose and drag. Also that will help out with this is the fairing that comes installed on the cargo basket itself. If you wanted to actually extend this out, this does come with an extension that is sold separately, and you can find on etrailer.com. Let's go ahead and show you how it installs. We already have the 3 other U-bolts and clamps installed.
What our customers are saying:
"WOW! That had to be the best shopping experience ever online! Easy to use and thorough site, good prices, great communications on shipping and viola! A week later and Im looking at my installed hitch and rack. Unbelievable. Thanks!"
