Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. To start, this bike rack is pretty unique, in that it gives you two different ways to access your trunk. We'll show you the first one. It's just a simple tilt away feature. We're just gonna pull on this blue T-pin on the underside, and we can tilt the bike rack away, like so.

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2018 Mazda CX-5, we're gonna be doing a test fit on the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider 2 2-Bike Platform Rack, part number HR1000.Now, this is a great economical bike rack that really does get the job done. It's gonna get you from point A to point B with minimal hassle. Let's take a closer look at some of the features.To start, this one can tilt away from your vehicle, like most platform racks can, but first you're gonna remove both these pin clips. You might have to lift up a bit to get this pin out, and we'll just let it hang there for a second. Then we'll remove this pin clip, too, like so. Once that's removed and hanging, we can let it lean away, or tilt away, from our vehicle.

You just have to loosen this little hand knob and you can slide it along the bike rack and then tighten it down to wherever you need it. It's gonna help accommodate any length of bike you might have.

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Mazda CX-5, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Yakima RidgeBack two-bike hanging-style rack, part number Y02457. Now let's take a closer look at the bike rack, and show off some of the features with the bike installed.On the ends, we do have these two bottle openers that Yakima puts on all of their products. Up here we have two different, or actually three different points, where our bike is secured. We have two on top, with the Zip Strips that secures the top frame of our bike onto these cradles. These cradles do have rubber TPE padding. What that means, is that these little grooves in there are going to act as shock absorbers for the frame of your bike while you're traveling.The third point of contact we have is down here, in our anti-rattle cradle.



Saris Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Mazda CX-5

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Mazda CX-5, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Saris Superclamp EX 2-bike platform rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches. Part number SA4025F.Now, let's take a closer look at some of the features with the bike installed. For starters, this platform rack can tilt away from the vehicle to give you access to your trunk. We're just going to pull on this handle right here and it can tilt away like so. Now we can come up and open up our rear hatch and it doesn't even come close to making contact with our bike. We can slide in and get whatever gear we might need out of our trunk and then we're ready to hit the trails.When you have it closed and you're ready to tilt it back up, just grab ahold of these arms right here and push up till you hear that audible latch.Now, our bike has four different points where it's secured to the bike rack.



Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Mazda CX-5

Now, as you can see, we do have a bike installed. Let's take a close look and show off some of the features. We have two different points where our bike is secured. We have a ratchet strap that is securing our back tire into the cradle, right here. Up front, we have a wheel hook putting more downward force on the top of our front wheel down into that wheel cradle that's holding it.

So I've already got everything all loaded up just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it's gonna hold our bikes. Now in my personal opinion, I would say this is a quality bike rack. Compared to the Yakima full back, it has a few differences. It doesn't have locks and it doesn't have rubber coated cam buckles, but it's still a great bike rack.

So I've already got it all loaded up on the CX5, just to give a good idea of how it holds our bikes and how its set up on our CX5.To start off, I would say that this is one of our premium trunk mounted bike racks. Reason why is it comes with a lock, so we can secure our bikes to the bike rack, that way they cannot be removed. Also features a bottle opener here at the rear. So we can enjoy our Buds at the end of a hard ride.



Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2017 Mazda CX-5

Speaker 1: Today in our 2017 Mazda CX-5, we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Over The Top Two Bike Carrier. And that's going to be part number HRF2.Now this bike rack is specifically designed for vehicles that have tails or spoilers like our Mazda does. If we look, we're going to see the connection points for our strap from the bike rack to the vehicle. It's not putting any extra weight on our spoiler which could potentially damage it.If we look at the bike itself, we're going to see it has three different points where it's secured. We have these straps on the top of our frame securing it into the cradles. We have this anti-rattle strap that is securing this part of the frame into there once we do that.

We do have it configured for a four-bike platform right now.



Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Mazda CX-5

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2017 Mazda CX-5, we're going to be test-fitting the Inno Aero Light four-bike rack for inch-and-a-quarter and two-inch hitches. That's going to be part number INH640. And as you can see, we do have a bike installed, so let's take a look and show off some of the features. Now, if we start out here, we're going to see we have this integrated cable lock system that comes up from the base of our bike rack, wraps around the frames of our bikes, and simply is inserted into that little notch right there. You will get a set of keys with your bike rack. In order to unlock the cable, you would simply slide up this tab right here, insert your key in, unlock your cable, and then you can unload your bikes.These cradles can move side to side, and up and down the bike rack, for any type of spacing needs you might want for your bike rack or any size bike you might have.

They do have these grooves on the inside here so the cables of your bike will rest inside there as opposed to getting crushed up against the frame once you're installing the bike. We do have three points of contact with the bike. We have two straps up at the top holding it in place as well as one off to the side here. We already have a bike installed on our rack, let's take a closer look and who off some of its features.On the ends of both the arms we have the bottle openers, which is pretty unique to this bike rack. The cradles are fixed, but have enough space in between them where bike to bike contact won't be an issue while loading or unloading. The cradles also have this SuperCush material, to make sure that the frame of your bike doesn't have any scratches or abrasions on it once it's being installed.We'll have two zip strips up, at the top, holding it into place, as well as one off to the side, which is gonna serve as the anti-sway cradle to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth and causing bike to bike contact that way. Moving to the wheel here, it does come with this small wheel strap for the innermost wheel, to keep it from making contact with your vehicle. If you have two bikes on here, there is a much longer strap that wraps around both bikes, as well as the bike rack itself, and that's gonna be the stabilization strap for that instance.So let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside.



Thule Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2016 Mazda CX-5

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Mazda CX-5, we're going to be test-fitting the Thule Raceway Pro two-bike rack, part number TH9001PRO. We already have a bike installed on our rack, so let's take a closer look, and show off some of the features. The cradles are going to be stationary, but are padded on the inside here to ensure that the frame of your bike doesn't get any scratches or abrasions on it once it's being installed. It holds your bike at three points. Will have two straps up at the top here, and one off to the side, and that's going to serve as an anti-sway cradle to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth, and causing the bike to bike contact.Now, while the cradles are stationary, they are spaced far enough apart where bike to bike contact, initially when installing it, isn't going to be an issue. At the end here, we do have an integrated cable lock that will wrap around the outermost bike and lock into place here.

Today on our 2016 Mazda CX5 we're going to be test fitting the Thule Hitching Post Pro Folding Bike Rack, part number TH934XTR. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. The cradles themselves are adjustable along the arms, this is to accommodate loading. It also has these grooves inside the cradles, so one you install your bike the break cables and such can actually sit in these areas here so it doesn't get smashed up against the frame. It grips your bike at three points, we're going to have two straps up at the top and one off to the side. That's going to serve as an anti-sway cradle to keep your bike from moving too far back and forth, and possibly making contact with the others. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside.



Softride Element-Parallelogram Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Mazda CX-5

Today on our 2016 Mazda CX5 we're going to be test fitting the Softride Element Parallelogram tilting 4-bike rack for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number SR26248. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. The first feature I'd like to show off is the fact that this can tilt away from the vehicle with all bikes attached, which is pretty unique for a hanging-style bike rack. What you do is you come onto the passenger side here where there's this black handle. You pull out and let it tilt away like so. Now we have full access to our rear hatch and plenty of space on either side to get what we need.



Yakima HoldUp Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Mazda CX-5

Today on our 2016 Mazda CX-5, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima HoldUp 2 Bike Rack for 2" Hitches, part number Y02443. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. The first feature I like to show off is the fact that this can tilt away from the vehicle with the bike still attached to it so you can gain rear hatch access. To do that, we'll hold onto the bike rack and pull this red knob here at the front out. Holding onto the bike rack, we'll let it come down. Now we have rear hatch access to get what we need.



Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Mazda CX-5

Today on our 2016 Mazda CX5, we're going to be test fitting the Kuat Beta 2 bike rack, part number B202-2. We already have it installed and on our vehicle, and we already have a bike installed on it. We're going to have 2 straps up at the top here and 1 off to the side. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How this bike is attached to the rack, we're going to have 3 points of contact with the bike's frame. We're going to have 2 straps up at the top here and 1 off to the side here, and that's going to serve as an anti-sway strap to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth, possibly hitting the bike rack or the bikes in front of it and damaging it. We also have an integrated cable lock here at the top of the mast. You pull this out, wrap it around the bikes, and you insert it into this portion here, which is lockable for additional security. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside.

Today on our 2015 Mazda CX-5, we're going to do a test fit of the INNO Fork Lock Roof Mounted Bike Carrier. Part number INXA391. Now I have a bike on our rack, and we have a rack hooked to our vehicle. Just going to show you a few features of it. This is a fork mounted bike rack, as you can see. I'm going to lift up our cover here. This is our skewer, it's engaged. To un-engage we pull out, unloosen it and tighten it on this side.
