Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter - Lippert 1621 - 16,000 lbs
Not As Advertised and Horrible Customer Service at Reese! The pinbox came without installation hardware or directions. The hardware took a month to replace and again came without directions. The pinbox DOES NOT have the air valve as pictured. When I called Reese I was told it was due to a parts shortage and the person I spoke to told (Paul) me the new set-up was a dumb design. I TOTALLY AGEE!! To inflate one person has to literally crawl under the pinbox while hitched to inflate while another watches the bar. Not easy for a 60+ year old fat man! The valve faces OPPOSITE the bar side. Just dumb. When etrailer followed up they were basically told I have to live with it. NO - NOT HAPPY!
Goosebox works great! We have a bradford built flatbed with a recessed ball. The truck is used for work when not pulling the fifthwheel so I didn't want to cut out the trap door cover to use an anderson. The goosebox makes the fifthwheel no different then hooking up a regular gooseneck trailer but gives a much smoother ride

Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter
I returned it, because it was going to change the structural integrity of my 5th wheel camper. Did not use the product.
Real fast shipping, and a competitive price. Easy to follow directions and simple installation. This is a great product.

Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter - Lippert 1716 - 16,000 lbs
THIS IS THE THIRD FIFTH WHEEL HITCH THAT I HAVE HAD SINCE 2016. IT IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST HITCH I HAVE HAD AND SEE NO OTHER REASONS TO MAKE ANY FURTHER HITCH CHANGES IN THE FUTURE. THE REASON I GAVE IT 4 STARS IS BECAUSE OF THE LIST OF IMPROVEMENTS THAT I HAVE LISTED BELOW. I HAVE HAD THE HITCH FOR 1 YEAR AND HAVE PUT APPROXIMATELY 10,000 MILES ON IT. WHAT I LIKE: -IMPROVED THE TOWING EXPERIENCE IN TERMS OF RIDE COMFORT WHEN TOWING -UPON DISCONNECTING FROM THE CAMPER, THE ONLY THING LEFT IN THE BED OF THE TRUCK IS THE GOOSE BALL. -REDUCED CHUCKING. IT ELIMINATES ABOUT 90% WHAT NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED: -THE COUPLER ON THE KING PIN NEEDS TO HAVE A FUNNEL (similar to the Anderson hitch) THIS PROVIDES A MARGIN OF ERROR WHEN RECONNECTING THE TRUCK TO CAMPER. WITH THE CURRENT COUPLER, YOU HAVE TO BE DEAD ON WHEN RECONNECTING. A CHEAP ACCESSORY TO HELP IN THE ALIGNMENT OF KING PIN TO THE GOOSE BALL ARE TELESCOPING TENNIS BALLS. -EASIER ACCESS TO PUTTING AIR IN THE AIR BLADDER. IF I KNOW THAT I NEED TO PUT AIR IN THE BLADDER, I WILL DO IT WHILE THE CAMPER IS DISCONNECTED FROM THE TRUCK. I FOUND IT EASIER TO LET AIR OUT THEN TO PUT AIR IN WHEN THE KING PIN IS CONNECTED TO THE GOOSE BALL THERE ARE SOME GOOD VIDEOS ON THE INTERNET THAT HAVE GOOD TIPS AND TRICKS THAT MAKE USING THE REESE GOOSE NECK EASIER. THIS IS ONE OF THE BETTER ONES.
The goosebox is a gamechanger. Easy hookup, no bulky hitch and smooth ride. This completely changed the towing experience of my 5th wheel.

Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter w/8" Offset for Short-Bed Trucks
I have a 2019 f250 with the 6.5' bed and didn't want a heavy, bulky fifth wheel hitch taking all the bed space up. I had the fifth wheel package already installed as well, so it didn't make sense to not use that. I about went with the ultimate hitch that Anderson offers but decided against that as I have seen many reviews where the hitch failed. I saved a bunch of cash going with this product and it is awesome. I installed it by myself in my drive way in about 2 hours start to finish. I have zero issues turning so close to a 90*. I have a headache rack on my truck and it gets within an inch or two of hitting that but not my truck. I don't have any issues with the king box hitting the bed either like some people stated. The test ride today went very well. It rode very smooth and I have plenty of bed space for my dogs and gear. I would highly suggest this product if you are on the fence like I was. I will see how this will hold up over the years but I doubt I will have any issues. The shipping effected the sheath covering over the cable, I contacted the company, sent some pictures and they will be sending me a brand new part. I love this company and the products they stand behind!!!
I have been using the Ranch Hitch #3100 Straight Adapter for 3 years. Converting the 5th wheel to goose neck was awesome. Much easier to hook up and a smoother, quieter pull. After purchasing a new trailer I noticed that the trailer was too close to the cab of my short bed truck. I found the Ranch Hitch #3139 with 8" offset adapter. It installs easy and gives me 8 more inches away from my truck cab. Excellent! Turning corners is much more comfortable!

Gen-Y Hitch 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box - Auto Latch - Lippert 1621/1621 HD - 21K - 3.5K TW
I love this hitch I put it on my 35’ Astoria fifth wheel it pulls great and the shock absorbers help with a smooth ride.we took a ten day trip from Ga to Maine last September and had no problems with this hitch. I guess the only negative is that it’s not as easy as a regular fifth wheel hitch to hook up by yourself but after a few times you can line it up ok. The best thing is that no big hitch taking up space in my truck bed just a ball
This pull so much nocer than a 5th wheel hitch.

Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box - Lippert 1621/1621HD - 30K GTW - 4.5K TW
The Gen-Y gooseneck has been excellent! I now have approximately 12k miles on mine and it rides very nicely with very limited chucking and handles rough roads very well. I’d highly recommend that you contact Gen-Y BEFORE ordering to ensure you get the correct load rating product. Gen-Y and Etrailer have provided excellent customer and tech support! This product definitely frees up your truck bed and does require a precise line up to hitch.
Makes life a lot easier l don’t have to remove my hitch from the bed of my truck to use it. Just flip the ball and there you go. The gooseneck hitch actually pulls better than the 5th wheel hitch I had. It is rather heavy so come up with a good plan for installing, I used the front end loader on my tractor which allowed me to do the install by myself. Great product!!!

Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter - 20,000 lbs
Installation was a breeze. I have not towed with it yet, but am sure it will perform as expected.
Hitch is great. Delivery went well. My only issue is I was able to find it for roughly $xxx cheaper on [online]. When I reached out to customer support to let them know, they told me it was too late to cancel the order and if I’d like, I can return it for a $xxxx shipping fee…

Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box - Lippert 1621/1621HD - 30K GTW - 5.5K TW
This product is a chucking ENHANCER, not a chucking dampener. Additionally, despite what you have read, my experience with GenY customer service has been terrible. GenY will not support their warranty program, they will try to tell you everything is OK, when the fact is, their product is faulty and does not function to GenY product literature statements “Built-In Suspension Creates Up to 90% Smoother Ride”. I purchased the GenY executive hitch from eTrailer on 3/10/23, etrailer sent the wrong unit and to etrailer’s credit - they quickly took responsibility and replaced with the correct unit on 3/24/23. I installed on my DRV Elite Suites PS3 just in time to attend the SOITC rally at the Outer Banks on 4/13/23. When we left for this 750-mile one-way trip, the GenY load indicator was in the middle of the green zone, I measured the pin load at 5,200 pounds. Bedrail clearance was my reason for buying the GenY, it replaced a Trail Air on my DRV and a Reese 27,000-pound hitch on my 2022 F450. Bottom line, the GenY system provided no improvement in bedrail clearance, but did offer the ability to switch in different gooseneck balls to adjust for bedrail clearance. GenY states that a 1,000-mile break in period is required before the GenY torsion system is fully effective. My experience was that at 750 miles the torsion system on the GenY had sagged to it lowest point with the load indicator in the unit outside of the green, this also resulted in losing nearly two inches of bedrail clearance. It looks like it has a metal-to-metal stop so that the lowest the indicator will go is to the white lines outside of the green. I called GenY from the RV park and was told that the unit would not sag further. I purchased a Curt gooseneck ball which was 2 inches higher than the Ford ball to regain bedrail clearance having to rapid ship it to the RV park. Chucking became downright scary on the 750-trip home. As an example, chucking was induced every time my truck’s ten-speed transmission shifted up. Upon arrival home, I again contacted GenY customer service with a full expectation that GenY would replace the unit. Instead, here is their response: “I spoke with our QC Manager regarding your hitch. He said that you are in the correct unit and being at the top end of the green is normal after the break-in miles. As for the bedrail clearance he said that you would be able to lower the pin box down a set of bolts (with our pin boxes you are only required a minimum of 4 grade eight bolts per side) or use a B&W ball as they are roughly 1 1/2” taller.” This is unacceptable...
Quality build, easy install, let your truck and trailer do the heavy lifting. My wife and I did this install and took about an hour to get it bolted. I also bought the Grade 8 bolt kit. I’m hauling 20K GTW. The original hitch had Grade 5 bolts and only 5 per side. Now I have 6 per side, 160ft.lb. on bolt torque

Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box - Lippert Turning Point - 21K - 3.5K TW
Great replacement for the Curt Turning Point pin box! Easy to install and took a couple hours since I did it by myself. I had to purchase new 5/8” locknuts as the originals from the Curt install needed replacing. I also had to buy (4) 5/8” nuts from Tractor Supply since the Curt install had nuts welded on the front 4 bolt locations. I used the Curt 5/8” bolts and flat washers since they did not need replacing. I haven’t had a chance to get the trailer on the road yet, but see no reason why it will not pull nicely with the Gen Y gooseneck. It will be pulled with a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD 6.6 Duramax and 10 speed Allison transmission.
I installed it pretty quickly probably an hour or two minimal help from my wife. It pulls good I think it’s a vast improvement over the turning point hitch but I haven’t yet and put very many miles on it.

Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box - Lippert 1116/1716 - 30K GTW - 4.5K TW
Man,this thing is GREAT! It was 1 day late on delivery, but other than that, it bolted right up using the existing holes, NO DRILLING! I was THRILLED! It works as advertised, the powder coat paint is awesome, the auto latch works flawlessly. I am very pleased I would recommend anyone wanting to switch a 5th wheel kingpin to a gooseneck to use Gen-Y. They got their act together!
product delivered quickly and packaging was in tack. installation was pretty easy using a tractor. the ride was much improved over a sliding standard pin box system. this system opens up the rear bed space and and allows the ball to be removed like nothing was ever installed. I used the 4 inch offset from B&W to help turning radius on our short bed Ram also devivered from e- trailer. great customer service

Gen-Y Hitch 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box - Auto Latch - Lippert Rhino - 21K GTW - 3.5K TW
Quality Hitch! Thanks etrailer for help on getting me the correct hitch for my 2024 Forrest river sandpiper 4002fb
I wanted to switch my 5th wheel to a gooseneck. I left a question on the etrailer website, telling them exactly what truck I had and what camper I had. I asked which hitch I would need to make the conversion. I had an answer the next day!! So I ordered the hitch and….Wow!! This thing is amazing. It is very heavy duty and a perfect fit to my camper. Definitely a two man job, but a pretty quick swap.

Curt CrossWing Lightweight Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter - 20,000 lbs
Easy install into the bed of the truck. It is light enough that I can remove and install by myself, but there are quite a few steps to make sure it is installed correctly. I am a little concerned as the head seems to “lean” back 10° or so, which puts a considerable strain on the rear dampener. I’ve asked Curt about it and they say all is well. I’m not so sure.
Really like the Crosswing, so easy to hook and unhook and easily disassembles so that 1 person can take it in and out of bed of truck, recommend watching You Tube Videos of the Crosswing. We pull a Brinkley Z3100 36’ that weighs 14800 loaded.
