Best Forest River Cedar Creek Silverback Fifth Wheel RV Slide Out Parts

Hinged design on one side is functional, but rigid attachment on the opposite side is flawed design (see first photo). Failure occurred adjacent to attachment. I added a stainless steel utility hinge at that mounting point. Now BOTH sides hinge as the slide operates in/out. 3/16" drill and bolt one side of the hinge to the slide and the other to the flexguard. Should work better.

The purchase and shipping was fast and easy. I will purchase more items from etrailer. I needed a new hydraulic pump because my super slide was out of alignment and was under heavy load to bring it in. This caused my pump to become very weak and would need assistance getting the slide to come in. With the new lippert pump my slides are great. Work very quickly and smooth. Yes I had the super slide realigned. This was done with the old pump still in and it couldn't get the job done.

Part was here quickly a d package well. Staff was very knowledgeable regarding products. I will be using etrailer when needed in the future.

Easy installation

Had a little trouble with the processing of the original order.Fixed once by direct call, failed again. Finally fixed by direct contact. It seems the automated components by ordering on line have gotten in the way of the excellent direct representatives. Product as advertised.

Exact replacement for the old cylinder which was leaking internally. Etrailer gives excellent customer service and fast shipping.

The hydraulic cylinder is a direct replacement for my part. Installation was straight forward and fairly simple. Delivery to south Alabama only took three days. My only complaint is how the cylinder was packaged. It has a threaded rod on each end. One, about 3 inches long, is attached to the trailer frame and the other end is about 8 inches long and attaches to the slide out. The slide out end had heavy cardboard sleeve protecting the threads. The other end had no protection other than some loosely fitting bubble wrap stuffed in the cardboard carton. These threads were damaged and required filing before I could get a nut started. It wasn't a big deal but the shipping carton was ripped into and taped in several places. The carton end closure was destroyed by the 9 pound cylinder sliding back and forth. I was luck only having to fix a few threads.

I bought these wiper seals for my cedar creek fifth wheel. After installation I tried to slide my slides in and they tried to cock from one done to the other and did not come in smoothly or completely. These are made out of a different type of rubber that is very stiff so they don’t fold into the slide while moving slide in. I am out the price of a 30’ roll and cannot return because I used part of it. Beware of Steele wiper seals

I replaced one of my slide wipers with this product. The original seal had deteriorated and turned to goo. It was the original seal from 2013 and was made by AP Products which was used by Forest River. This seal appears more sturdy and was easy to cut and install. We will have to see how it performs over the original.

Factory replacement

The seal fit well on the sides of the slide out but in places over the top it barely touched the roof of the slide out. Could have been a bit wider.

He basically told me " It gets there when it gets there". He then ended the chat. He had told me it didn't ship yet, but after chatting with him I checked my email and it HAD indeed shipped. The factory seal used adhesive and staples to secure the seal to the side of my RV. I was hopeful to only rely on the adhesive of this replacement, but the Texas heat won. It has strong adhesive but 105 F is asking a lot. It is good product but if you are in the south you should probably plan to staple it too. Shipping was fast and packaging was good.

After a year it's still good as new.

These gear packs are very well made out of materials that can stand up to the the torque used when driving these heavy slides in and out. If you have slides and the factory gear packs it's just a matter of time untill the pot metal gears break and not to mention the plastic rollers. These replacement gear packs are made of steel rollers and high quality steel gears. I highly recommend them. Change them before you stranded in a campground and can't close or open your slideout rooms.

Your packaging was less than what was needed. A 10x5x3 box with two metal gears packs with extruding shafts and no other packing punched holes in the box. As far as I can tell, not damage to the gear packs, but you packing is not adequate. Since you didn't manufacture the gear packs, I don't have an opinion.

This worked great, should have bought first. Don’t waste your time with the D channel seals on [online vendor]. The lips that go into the channel are so thin and flimsy that the seal keeps popping out. This seal from Etrailer is much stiffer and works great. I installed it by myself but two people would have been nice - one to slowly push the seal on and make sure it stays on the channel and the other person to slowly pull it across the length of the slide. Regardless, it’s a pretty easy install and saves you several hundred dollars vs having the dealership do it.

Used it in a 2019 Salem forest river slide out, this is the closest thing I could find, slips over the scraper channel but seems a little loose, I hope it works out..

it didnt fit stud was to big

I called and gave them the measurements and info to the seals I wanted to replace and the guy I spoke with said that this particular model will work. It doesn’t. Waste of my money
