I've already got it loaded up on the Fusion just to give you a good idea what it looks like. As you can see, it's a mid-size cargo carrier. We've got plenty of areas to tie down our cargo along the raised wall here. It's got a mesh floor, so it's going to be easy to clean. Dirt and debris is just going to fall right through as well.

Today on our 2015 Ford Fusion we're going to be doing a test fit of our 21x55" Rola Cargo Carrier. This is going to be part #59507. It comes with a steel construction, an 1 1/4" shank for your class 1 and 2 hitches, as well as a 300 pound weight capacity. Let's go ahead and get it fit in here and see what it looks like on our vehicle. First step to do is going to be to insert the shank into the receiver then we'll line up our pin holes. Once we have our pin through, go ahead and place your clip through.

Now this is going to be twenty inches wide by forty-eight inches long, and with its sturdy, steel construction it's going to offer a three hundred pound weight capacity. Keep in mind that this is an inch and a quarter shank, and we do have a class two receiver on our vehicle right now. Now, with the hitch pin and clip that attaches this cargo carrier to the vehicle that will not be included. Today on our 2013 Ford Fusion we're going to be doing a test fit of the Rola cargo carrier. This Rola cargo carrier is going to be 21" wide, 55" long, and with the sturdy steel construction is going to offer that nice 300 pound weight capacity. As you can see, it's going to have that nice expanded metal base as well to help for easy cleanability. Down on the bottom side it's going to attach using our 1-1/4" shank. Today on our 2013 Ford Fusion, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Surco Cargo Carrier. This Surco Cargo Carrier is going to be 20" wide by 48" long, with an expanding metal base that's going to be easily washable and maintainable. It's also going to have full access to the back of your trunk at this point. Not really too much of a hindrance as far as stacking any items on there. It's going to be part #52017. We'll start off by getting a few measurements and then going through how it's set up. Our closest distance will be the first measurement.



Surco Products Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2011 Ford Fusion

Today, on this 2011 Ford Fusion, we're going to be test fitting the Surco Cargo Carrier, part number 52017. This cargo carrier has a carrying capacity of 300 pounds. It has this mesh floor, which makes it easy to clean, and around the borders of the cargo carrier, we have this rail which can be used as a tie in point for either your ratchet straps or your bungee cords. I'm going to go ahead and you give you some measurements. Measuring from the bumper to this rail here, we've added about 23 inches to the rear of the vehicle. For our ground clearance, we're at about 11 inches. For our closest point, which is this edge here, we're at about a quarter of an inch from the vehicle. Now, the exhaust of this vehicle's going to be on the passenger's side and it is close to the cargo carrier so you do want to be carrier whenever you're loading any heat sensitive material to make sure to keep it on the driver's side. We have total access to the trunk with the cargo carrier installed.



Surco Products Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2010 Ford Fusion

Today on our 2010 Ford Fusion, we're going to be doing a test fit on the 20 by 48 Surco cargo carrier for 1 1/4-inch hitches, part number 52017. On this cargo carrier, it features a nice steel mesh floor which is going to allow any dirt or debris to fall through so it's going to help you keep this clean much easier. Around the edges here, it's got this nice thick frame which allows you to put tie downs just about anywhere. It's got a nice black powder coat finish to help resist rust and corrosion. It's also got these crossbars here just for a little bit of extra added support which helps give it that 300-pound weight capacity. But on this particular vehicle, it's got a class 1 hitch with a 200-pound ton weight rating so you'll definitely want to keep that in mind when loading it up. The ground clearance here at the back of this one is right about 11 inches.



Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2010 Ford Fusion

Today on our 2010 Ford Fusion, we're going to be doing a test fit of the 20 by 48 Curt cargo carrier for 1 1/4 and 2-inch hitches. Part number C18110. This particular cargo carrier has a number of nice features. One of which being the steel mesh flooring that's going to be easy to keep clean because dirt and debris can fall right through but it's also nice and sturdy. Then it's also got these walls here. These walls are about 2 3/4 high.
