Best Ford F-250 Super Duty Trailer Hitch Ball Mounts

I purchased this hitch for my 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 which has the multiple tailgate. The hitch was in the stow position but still damaged my tailgate when I had the tailgate fully down and used the step feature. it bent the metal and scratched the paint. So please be aware this hitch is not recommended for the 2024 GMC sierra 3500 with multiple tailgate.

Rock tamers hitch was tight and didn't allow fitment, but with a little grinding on the corners, it fits alright now. Other than that, it has worked great.

Went with the B&W due to the length of the shaft going into the receiver. My 2024 Ram's receiver is recessed under the bumper. This hitch is long enough to accept my Towtector product. Similar to Rock Tamers. Also, Brittany in customer service was awesome to work with as she guided me towards the product that worked for my application.

This ball mount is extremely heavy duty. I had a stock class IV hitch and aftermarket ball mount on my Ram 3500 SRW and it was bending towing a 14000 lb dump trailer. I upgraded to a class V hitch and this mount and it's working great. I have 6 trailers that I pull with gooseneck, 5th wheel and ball hitches. The only 1 that uses 1 7/8" ball is a little 5x8 utility trailer that I'm converting to 2" so I got the 2 ball instead of the 3. When turned sideways it works as a step to get into the truck but only if the tailgate is up. It doesn't stick out far enough when the tailgate is open. The reason for 1 less star is the documentation; you need more information to make the best choice. I originally ordered a different PN and it hung way too low bc is mounted under the existing hitch. To remove the stock hitch, you also remove the integrated mounting brackets for the bumper. I ordered a PN for a truck without a hitch and cut off the receiver tube with a torch. Also, I upgraded the 3 1/2" exhaust to 4" and now at idle the exhaust rattles on the much larger frame of the class V but a slight modification in planned to take care of that. Installation was fairly straighforward once I removed the original receiver tube.

Was shipped on time.B&W hitch was fine just missing one pin clip.Box had several holes where pin clip could have fallen out. Looks like it had a rough trip.

I've used this hitch before on a 3500 Dodge Cummins. Unfortunately I sold the truck and forgot to remove my hitch. So I purchased it again for a 3500 Chevy Silverado. I had this hitch for several years and pulled a $14,000 lb capacity tandem axle trailer with it . I was then able to adjust it for pulling a boat or my smaller trailer when needed. Very pleased with the product and quality

This is a great very HD hitch. with a 20K tow rating I feel secure hauling heavy loads. The adjustable height allow you to have your trailer level like it is designed to be.

Super beefy and very well made. Packed well too. Some careful thought and enginnering went into this piece and you can tell. Im old enough to remember being able to buy high quality, locally made stuff for a reasonable price. Seems like those days are mostly gone. It was fun to inbox this hitch and appreciative the solid craftsmanship. Doesn’t happen too much anymore.

This review does not just serve my recent order, but all of the orders before it. I have purchased a number of items from etrailer and everything was sent in a timely manor as stated and promised. In other words I did not need to go anywhere else to get a full tow package for a Dodge 5500 that did not have one. I cannot say enough about how this website helped me. The chrome trailer hitch I ordered initially seemed promising, but Even with diligent care, including not leaving it on when not in use and avoiding exposure to winter weather, the chrome trailer hitch still succumbed to rust. This unexpected deterioration highlights a significant flaw in its durability, leaving me disappointed in its overall performance.

I recently purchased a B&W a 7" Drop, Trip Ball Hitch from the factory. I ordered a 3" Reese instead of a 2 1/2" that I needed. Noah and Tammi in Customer Service jumped right on the issue and got me the correct hitch and a quick return/credit for the other one. Couldn't be more happy with the company and the hitch. This has been one of the best hitches that I have owned. It is adjustable to change between my Jeep Wrangler and my Ford F-150 Limited. Both have different tow heights and tow needs based on trailer type and payload capacity. This hitch has worked great for those purposes!

Gone are the days I need to carry three different hitches with different sized balls on them. Gone are the days when I, or others, walked around the back of my truck and cracked their shin on a protruding trailer hitch. I keep this folded up in front of the drop where it's not going to catch anyone by surprise. When I'm ready to use it, I simply pull two pins out which allows it to drop free and rotate out. I choose the height I need and install the two pins/clips. To rotate the balls, again simply pull the third pin and rotate to desired size. It was more than I wanted to spend at the time but since I'm glad I spent the money.

These hitches are the best! And I scanned the world over to find only hitches that are made in USA like I do every product I buy. This is a very ingenious design that allows some shock absorption that greatly quiets any trailering. I bought two full hitches one for each ball size so that I would never have to change ball again! Great product!

Just received this mount and did the test fit with our trailer. We have not hit the road with it yet but I am confident it will perform perfectly. I am anxious to see how the cushioned feature works. We pull a box cargo trailer for business and just got a new Chevy HD pickup to tow with. It has a 2.5" receiver and hitch height is much greater than the Suburban we were using plus it had a 2" receiver. This mount is rated for far more weight than we will ever need but it was the only 2.5" size with 6" drop that I could find. We are very pleased with the product and the excellent customer service we got at etrailer. Works as it should. I enjoy not having to hunt for different hitches when switching trailers. So far no rust..

Bought to pull my boat with my Yukon and needed a drop hitch to level out the trailer. I wanted to buy a quality hitch, and let me tell you the B&W does not disappoint. Well engineered. It’s it heavy but when installed it is pretty easy to adjust height and ball size. Also supporting an American company is a plus!

I have been towing trailers many years With no issues until recently. Trailer weights have increased and loads also. My three way ball with 2 5/16 was torn off of tubing because of insufficient welding, I was very lucky. Yes I went to a solid receiver with bolt style ball. Very great setup. Thanks curt for designing heavy hitches and etrailer for easy ordering.

The 5” B&W has worked great for me. This year I’ve towed an 18 foot speed boat, a 21 foot family boat, and a travel trailer. Used 3 different heights on hitch to accommodate each trailer, including the larger ball for the travel trailer. When all done, I use the stow feature too. No more hitting shins on the hitch! Quality unit, very happy with its versatility and solid craftsmanship.

Nothing comes close to this trailer hitch mount! Well designed and needed especially if you tow different things. versatility and sleek appearance in stow mode. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is simply because sometimes the 3 rods you have to remove and reinsert sometimes get stuck and you have to bang it a bit to get one or more loosened so you can remove or reinsert. Maybe graphite spray?

I was unable to find the correct size hitch in my small town, so I purchased the hitch, ball and pin from etrailer. The items were received in a timely maner and were securely packed. The hitch is well built and fits perfectly on my Ford F-250. Very pleased

This is a serious hitch!! Well designed and built. Easy to install and change out. You only need a locking hitch pin on the receiver as the ball and carrier are machined into the hitch. Super fast delivery from etrailer. Great company and I buy from them for all my trailer and truck needs.

I love this hitch. With a locking pin, it stays on my truck all the time. Here’s why: Height adjustment. This truck was tall when I bought it, so I needed the drop for my trailers to ride level. 3 balls. We have 3 trailers of different sizes and weights, so all 3 balls get used. And a step! Even when not towing, I use this step to access the bed all the time. Fits my 3” receiver without an adapter. Spend the money and you will have no regrets down the road.

1 product was missing from my order due to stock issues but nothing was stated about that in the order status. The order mitigation by Kimberly was great though. Helped get that product reordered and helped with a hitch exchange that I ordered wrong. Very good experience overall. The emails for every step of the order is appreciated and thorough.

The Gen-Y hitch is a beast and should last forever. It weights approx 55 lbs. Haven’t had a chance to use it yet and I hope that it doesn’t rust like I have seen in some reviews on YouTube etc. My big disappointment is the fact that it does not take my 2 1/2” to 2” sleeve (the 2 ball mount is 2 1/2”) so I can use another hitch with it to move a small trailer that rides lower than this hitch goes. I even talked to someone at Gen-Y to verify that it would work. They said it would. IT DOES NOT. To much pain to send it back. I’m sure I would have to pay shipping.

This thing is robust! It has handled everything I've hooked to.

My newer Chevy K3500 has a 2 1/2 inch square receiver so I was able too get rid of my 2" ball mount that was almost too heavy to lift and replace it with a new Reese tri- ball mount with a 14,000 lb Gross towing capacity and weighs less than 12 pounds. Despite some of the conflicting reports on here about the Reese Tri-ball Titan Hitch fitting 2011 and up Super Dutys I took a gamble and it payed off. It fits my 2012 Super Duty with no issue. I didn't have to grind the corners or take the sticker off or remove any paint. Thanks for the great customer service and answering my questions.

Works great! I use this hitch on a regular basis utilizing the ball on one use and pintle on the other. I often drive over rough terrain pulling a Tucker Terra Sno-Cat or a 50kW genset, this hitch handles the roughness. The universal hitch is optimum when hauling via pintle or ball.

Pretty slick set up. I'd been looking for the right adjustable height hitch combo and came across this one. The gen y ones looked nice but you are limited to 2" increments with your height adjustment. I had to wait a while for it to come into stock after I ordered it which was the only down fall. Pins are tight. Finish is nice on the product. Adjusts easily in small increments. Very solid. Made in USA. It took the place of 2 balls and a pintle hitch that I carry with me every day. It will save me time, weight, and space in my truck bed.
