If I was going to keep the current hitch, I would chose a reducer with a separate set of holes to keep it in the 2½" receiver. This is essentially merely a "liner" and is removed every time my trailer hitch or bike rack is removed.

We used this to be able to take our golf cart in the bed of our truck while pulling our travel trailer. This extender allowed us to have the tailgate down for the golf cart. It worked perfect and even had a couple people come up to us wondering how we were able to bring our golf cart. Before this we had to take 2 vehicles or just not take the golf cart.

Works as advertised. Correct fit for my 2019 Chevy 2500 HD WT Duramax. Now I can use this 2 inch hitch for both my 2500 with factory 2.5 inch hitch and my Yukon XL Denali with a 2 inch Class V Hitch

It fits perfectly, the ears on it make it sit right where you need it to, and it works great with my weight distribution hitch. It helps pull a 9,000 lbs camper just fine.

This is a nice fit in the 3" receiver and the right amount of extension. I am finally able to fully open the tailgate while attached to my camper. I am a little concerned it might be too much extension for the safety chains and 7 pin electrical wiring harness. A through test drive is needed

I ordered this 3 inch to 2 inch hitch reducer because I had purchased a new RV and the receiver on the new RV is a 3 inch hitch. My previous RV hitch size was 2 inch. I needed a 2 inch receiver because I am re-using my Blue Ox tow bar which has a 2 inch hitch. Fit perfectly. See pictures.

Just received the 41/48 inch hitch extension today so haven’t actually used it. However, one can tell the high quality by looking at the welds and thick paint coating. This item is extremely heavy. I expected some weight to it, but it surprised me. Also, the tubing has very tight tolerances. I have two ball mounts, neither of which slid into the extension on their own. I had to pound them in and tap them out with a 3 pound hammer. Once paint and labels were scraped away by this action the ball mounts were able to be slid in by hand. This extension will be used on my dually carrying my truck camper. I’ll be towing an aluminum trailer with a Can Am Spyder. Total weight towed will be less than 2000 pounds so I don’t expect the extension to be subjected to any stress.

I purchased the hitch extension to accomendate our bike rack to go on the back of our truckcamper. I also purchased the bike rack and steps at all work perfectly together. The extension is very heavy duty and can be used for towing a boat. The only con was not the extension it was the packageing it beat itself up. I also added turnbuckles and safety chain and electrical extension.

This was just what was needed. Fits so that sleeve is even with receiver so that a hitch stabilizer/clamp will work. Nice sturdy material with high quality finish.

Works like a champ. I’d gotten a new truck with larger receiver and obviously didn’t want to buy a new ball mount for our weight distributing hitch. Using the adapter initially hurt my head as a ‘band aid’ solution, but it worked flawlessly on a recent 2000 mile trip. Zero regrets; will never hesitate to use it.

Very well built! Double walled tube! Nicely welded! Loaded my slide in camper, hooked up the 6x14 TA trailer and loaded the SXS. Couldn't tell it was back there, no loose play, all the components stayed tight and I was really impressed! It's a bit heavy but that's what's needed for a 36" hitch. For perfect for my application! I would recommend this product

The extension is a very well made double wall tube weighting about 70#. It is used to pull a boat, horse trailer or a Jeep on a F450 with a very big camper.

Heavy duty! Excellent product but did not have the bracket for the tailight extension. Of course the box was destroyed in shipping.

E-tailer folks are very knowledgeable and professional. The Torklift TLE 1648 is a beast. I can't wait to be able to tow my pontoon boat with the AF slide in camper. Thanks for giving me an option to tow my boats.

This hitch extension will be the last extension you will ever buy. It worked great towing my boat behind my 2017 F-350 Dually,( I purchased the 48” cannon) my boat is about 3000 lbs. this hitch is more than capable for towing, just about anything you can pull within Your hitch limits. I have an extended deck on my camper, and I had enough room to turn 90 deg and not be close to contacting the boat. Never bottomed out on a driveway, on my last trip. Quality hardware, super easy install, might need a little help inserting It into the receiver it is “heavy” Overall glad I purchased this.

The product is 5 star, packaging and shipping is a 0. I am not sure how this hitch extender ever made it to my residence due to the lack of proper packaging (see photo.) When the package arrived, I did not need to open the box, I only had to reach throught the hole and pull it out. This is not the first time I've had issues with etrailer packaging. When I ordered the extender, the screen showed I would receive it Saturday. Received it 3 days later.

I use this on my Yamaha Kodiak 700 and it works great with my cargo carrier. I needed an extender in order for the carrier to not rub against the back tires. No complaints.

It does what it’s designed to do. The holes are hard to line up when being used with a 80lb gen y hitch. Over all I would buy again.

Works as intended. Only issue is it doesn't have a stop to keep it from sliding all the way into the receiver.

The 4 foot hitch performed great. I bought the extra lenght to get it further behind my truck camper, I have a 3 foot hang over. The only problem was this made my 20 foot welded flat boat catch a lot of wind knocking my fuel milage way down. It also does not let my steps fold down. I should have gone with the 3 foot extension. live and learn.

We have been using Torklift superhitch and supertruss extension since 2010 hauling horses around the US. This extension and superhitch went on our new truck. We hauled trouble and worry free for 10,000 miles this year. Best product on the market.

Structurally strong! Chain and turnbuckles created an extension for my RV extension bumper with storage box. Thought with chains it might need constant re-tightening but has remained tight, after initial trip of 5500mi. Of towing car dolly!

I use this to haul my travel trailer with my tailgate open and my RZR in the bed of the truck. It goes together easily and is extremely solid when mounted. Much stronger than just an extension tube.

The last piece of the puzzle. Pretty stout construction. Easy to assemble. Just pulled a 7000 gvw trailer behind my af992 camper. Flawless. Dont forget to order the pigtail extension.

Used the Malone 2" Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver to have a bike rack with two bikes on the upper Receiver and a 21' bassboat on the lower Receiver. Ran down to Florida Everglades, Florida Keys and back home. Almost exactly 4,000 miles. Hitch worked perfectly. I did find that you can not "jacknife" the boat as much or the bow of the boat will touch the bikes on the rack but that is to be expected. Hitch was quiet, strong and exceeded my expectations. Easy to install and looking forward to using it again in a month for another 4,000 mile road trip. Note: I drive fast and the roads are not always perfect. This is a sturdy Hitch Receiver. 2” or 4” up/down is the solution I needed for a flat tow, 4” lower drop and a 2 bike rack, 2” rise. Very well constructed and looking for years of service out of this drop/rise combination!

Wanted to be able to combine tow hitch and bike hitch. This required a 2" drop and a 4" rise with a 10K lb capability. Etrailer.com came thru with product, price, special free shipping, and great customer service. Ordered on Sun and received on Wed and installed on Thur and ready to go!
