Best 2022 Ford F-450 Super Duty Hitch Pins and Clips

This is actually the second one of these I've installed. I helped a friend put one on his 06 Outback and it was really easy. So when I needed one for my 05 Outback I knew where to buy one. Super-simple installation and looks good too.

After balking at the cost to have an auto-shop add a trailer to our Toyota Highlander, we found etrailer.com and decided to take a chance. The "how to" videos factored considerably in our decision to buy ... they made it look so easy! And surprise! It really -WAS- that easy. We used standard block-type ramps (the kind you can buy for $40 ) to get the SUV up off the ground high enough to get underneath to do the work. Everything came off as easy as it was showed in the videos. Other than the fact this bar is a heavy so we had our teen daughter help hold it steady while we bolted it into place (i.e., get help for when you go to lift it), it went super smooth. I use this Curt hitch pin and clip when I'm using the receiver plug-even though I COULD use it with my hitch. Being an expensive hitch, I like RH5-XL when it's on my truck. The Curt is better than plain hitch pins because of the rubber on both the pin and the clip, which gives a better grip when it's cold or wet. Etrailer, as usual, got it to me fast, and the price was right. Also, I like that the clip goes through the pin instead of into a slot, making it somewhat harder for the clip to fall out or spread the legs of the clip over time-at least I think so.

We're thoroughly pleased with both Paula and our order (a tow hitch cover). The cover looks exactly the way it looks on the website!

I am using 4 of the wire lock Snapper pins to attach a shelf I built to span the front of my trailer using etrack and the wood beam brackets. Using these pins makes the shelf mounting very solid yet completely removable in a matter of a minute or so. While this is something these pins were not intended for, they appear to have been custom made for the job.

Snapper pins work great. I use them for fast set up on my Bimini top.

Does not fit the hole on the 3" receiver purchased. Will have to return the item.

This is one strong hitch! Very versatile as our boat requires a 2” ball and our RV requires a 2 5/8” ball it is easy to just pull it an flip it. The hitch pin hole is larger so I used an adaptor so it would fit into an OAM Ford receiver.

Cool to follow up on your product. The multi-ball works as it should. I bought it since I didn't know if the trailer I would get would be 2" or 2 1/4. I tow a 4,000 # trailer/race car with it. It's a heavy piece to carry around, but I feel that it will last a good many years. I did make a spacer to cram into the receiver, so the hitch doesn't rattle as much. Otherwise it's great..

I will be completely honest and say that the hitch assembly that I bought for my Rogue fit perfectly and was easy to install. Good heavy duty pins...bought 2 in case i lose one. Have dealt with etrailer on & off for years Have not been dissapointed.

Lower quality than oem, pin is bent already and I’ve only ever towed a couple cars on a single car trailer, significantly less weight than it’s rated for, cotter pin is also loose on hitch pin and easily falls off

Had plenty of hardware for the standard 2x2 hitch, but the 2.5x2.5 ford titan really needs to have the longer hitch pins.

Perfect replacement for my Blue Ox hitch and tow guard pins (they are different sizes). I keep spares on hand because these things have a habit of getting lost. I am a repeat customer because of the excellent customer service and fast shipping.

Have not had any issue with the clip. Been using it on my tow bar for flat towing the Jeep. Spring is still strong and no rust.

Not sure how this is supposed to work but it does absolutely nothing to prevent rattle. Complete waste of money. And yes, this was used on a 3" Super Duty receiver
