Recently bought a Kubota RTV x900. The receiver is located under the bed. With the extra long ball hitch drawbar I can easily get to the drawbar and use a clevis to hitch my 5ft. wide mower or attach a ball and use the trailer. The pictures will illustrate the length of the drawbar which makes access very easy. The product is heavy duty and well made. This is really nice. Beveled edges so it slips into receiver hitch so sweet. Beautiful welds heavy weight mount for my weigh safe ball. I bought a 10,000 lbs hitch and I wanted a draw bar with the same type rating. Now the only thing limiting my trailer capacity is my truck's ability to tow, not the hitch, bar or ball.

I purchased a Ranch Hand rear bumper for my 2500HD but wanted to retain the use of a receiver hitch. The ball mount would need to extend 8" from the pin hole to even reach the edge of the bumper. This BM29 ball mount works out perfect. The welds look great and the finish is just fine. The only complaint I have is they gained a little length by moving the pin hole a little closer to the end shortening the insertion amount slightly. Not a big deal, it is just noticable next to the other mounts I have at the house.

Here's 2 photos of the finished product. Doesn't stick out very far which is fantastic, because it definitely would have looked bad on the back of a 2 door coupe GTP. As for installation, being a mechanic, all I had to do was remove 2 rear exhaust rubber hangers and the one right behind the fuel tank, lower the exhaust onto a set of jacks to support the weight. Then drilled 2 1/2" holes with a 90 degree drill. The coiled wires included with the parts saved me tons of time trying to get the bolts in. Overall, it was fairly simple to install. Torquing the bolts proved a little difficult. I would recommend you inform the customers that they'll need at least a 10" eye to eye reciever (I have the 11" one on mine) in order to clear the rear bumper and provide some space between the bumper and trailer tongue. As for the wiring, I cut a small slit in the rubber plug under the spare tire, ran some bulk trailer wiring up through it, under the tire, under the floor matting, to the right side of the trunk, behind the tail light. And up under the lid on the right side, is the tail light wire harness/connector. Test light confirmed which wires were hot, tapped into them and all the wires and lights are good to go. Just some extra info for the DIY'er that might be handy on the website so they won't have to search for it! Couldn't be happier with the hitch.

I installed the trailer wiring and a friend helped install the hitch. Etrailer website is excellent. I got the right items on time and the fit is better than my wife’s dealer installed hitch. Videos on the etrailer site are clear and correct. One caveat, don’t try installing the hitch without at least one other person and having a way to lift the car(we used ramps) is a great help. The only possible way etrailer could be any more helpful is if they could recruit some local shops that would be willing to do the installation. I especially like having my wiring in the passenger compartment when not in use. It keeps it out of the Salt here in the northeast.

I got a hitch for my Honda accord it was extremely easy to install took less time than they estimate after I installed it I bought a trailer and have hauled various things already with no problem I would recommend e trailer to anyone

This drawbar was exactly what I needed with the 5" rise. I use it to tow my boat. My car is low to the ground so the rise was just what I needed. The drawbar is very durable as well. When I was out on my boat a hit and run was done on my trailer. The trailer was pushed into my car and both were moved about 3 feet forward. The drawbar didn't break in half. It was bent but it prevented any damage to the rear of my car because of the quality construction of the drawbar.

Overly tight on the receiver end bit functions as intended.

I am an infrequent trailer user, but getting my daughter home from college was necessary in March. This drawbar fits my hitch and utility trailer well, did exactly what it is supposed to do, and was the last thing to be concerned about right then. I have a '11 Mini Countryman S with a Class II receiver from Mini Fini, (which cost twice as much as a Curt) where the hole is flush with the fake grille near the bottom of the bumper cover, so I needed the long bar to reach out past the bumper. The Curt receiver for that car hangs visible underneath the bumper (ugly), which also increases the lever arm on the receiver beam and would have needed an even taller rise. (Curt take note!) All just part of the kit to create an occasional 1 ton pickup out of my Mini, leaving the "bed" at home most of the time.

I hooked up the draw bar today for the first time to the trailer that I built and the hitch I installed. The draw bar uses a cotter pin that slides on the bolt rather than going through a hole to mount the bar to the hitch. I have never used a sliding on pin in anything - I've only used those that go through a small hole matching the pin. This includes my farm tractor and other tools. I hope it is secure because it does slide on easily. The bar itself appears nice and strong.

We used our car hitch and cargo carrier last summer in a Honda Accord to support a cargo carrier. It held up great on a 4,000 mile camping/hiking trip from Mid Missouri to Glacier National Park, MT. We were able to use the carrier/hitch to carry our large tents and baggage (approx 120#)directly behind our car trunk. Initially I was a little hesitant at the smaller 1-1/4" tube hitch, but it was very stable throughout the long trip. Sure was a lot less drag than putting all our gear on a roof cargo carrier.

This is a great all-purpose hitch. I've used it to mount a heavy-duty bike rack and a steel T-rack to carry a canoe as well as lumber. Most recently I hauled 5 x 8 cargo trailers full of plants, then furniture for a 600-mile move. It was simple to use, problem free, very strong and sturdy. Now that I live on some acreage, I see a trailer in my future, so this will get a lot more use. I drive a 2013 Tacoma, so this is a good size hitch at a good price with sufficient capacity for my needs. I do use a key lock for the hitch as well.

I actually got my hitch the date they said it would be here to my surprise. When the box arrived it was pretty much beat up, not the hitch just the box. I wished there was instructions how to install it. Overall very satisfied and will buy from 5hem again

Strong and seems to be well made and well finished. One-inch ball mounting hole. I used this for a Curt hitch mounted on a 2014 Forester and pulls a small Harbor Freight trailer. Perfect height and trailer is level. Warning - don't get their hitch pin, it does not have a hole for a cotter pin, only a weak clip that I would not trust.

I searched the internet to put a hitch on my 2016 Chevy Equinox and found an instructional video from eTrailer.com where they installed on my exact car. I decided to go with eTrailer.com because they answered all my questions and because of the video-I support businesses that go the extra mile with these videos. Shipping was quick and well tracked, however, the box was flimsy and the one end of the hitch had come out of the box side and the ball mount could have easily come out of that hole during shipping. If I were eTrailer.com I'd charge an extra couple of bucks for more sturdy boxes-people will still buy as eTrailer is a well-trusted brand and this would overcome a lot of the negative reviews you'll see on their site about this shipping issue in their own reviews :-) I installed the hitch by myself (definitely recommend help as two people holding it up to the frame makes attaching 100% easier) in about 45 minutes total (out of the box, read instructions, review video again and installation complete). All hardware went on with no issues. Great quality hitch! I also bought the lesser expensive wiring assembly because most recent equinox's come hitch ready with pre-wired assembly in the left side compartment-snap and done. Picked up a new trailer at Home Depot within days and drove 5 feet and the clacking was horrible. I had always had a welded hitch before buying a hitch that took a ball mount. I really thought something was wrong and when I searched the internet that night it turns out this is very common. However, all you need is some sort of hitch "silencing" device. The number of options will drive you mad but I went with the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch and it did the trick for much less than most of the other options. If I were eTrailer.com I'd have that as one of the RECOMMENDED add-ons and explanation why its super-worthy when customers are buying a hitch. Would have saved me the time and hassle of dealing with it later and the extra shipping charge for buying after the fact when I got free shipping for the other items the first time :-) All in all, I'm super, super happy with my hitch, wiring assembly, ball mount, ball mount locking pin and the hitch silencer. To be honest, I use it upside down. I needed a hitch with rise, but none were available at time of purchase, and yours, inverted, works perfectly! The welds are regularly checked and remain all secure. It's a good hitch.

Working in the sand and grass of my driveway my wife and I installed our new etrailer receiver hitch. Great fit and finish! Went right on as described in the online guide. Hitch required a spacer washer on top back bolt attachment point. Taped it on so it would not move while lifting in place and it stayed right there! Used a car jack to raise up and hold the hitch into the underside of the trunk tighten the bolts and reattached the tail pipe done. Now we can pull our Sunfish Sailboat any where the car will go.

Wonderful product. I had the hitch installed in 10 minutes. The wiring was a little more tricky because it required running a power wire all the way to the battery. I towed my trailer from Florida to Tennessee and back. Etrailer is still wonderful to deal with as they always have been in the past. My hitch came in a couple of days. I wouldn't think of ordering from any one else.

Very happy with this ball mount - provides just the amount of drop we required for a level tow of our GeoPro travel trailer by our RAM2500. Plus, the extra length not only allows a tighter turning radius, but also allows us to lower the truck tailgate without having to detach the trailer. Huge improvement on all accounts for us compared to our prior setup. The product is well built and I'm confident will provide us years of good use.

works well brings the trailer tongue up to level. I have it on an EV so the raddle is annoying, because I just keep on forgetting to buy a anti rattler.

This is very sturdy hitch. It is made of solid steel, not tubing. It will be used on my Mazda RX-3 to tow my car dolly to the RV lot where I will swap everything around and the car will end up on the dolly behind my RV.
