I bought this as part of the tow package for a Honda Fit. It has the rise I needed to match my trailer. I couldn't be happier with the e-trailer experience.

We really like the hitch we ordered for our Camry. It was extremely easy to install. Fit perfectly!

The hitch was a breeze to install on my 2013 Honda Fit, and gutting the rear interior panels to install the 4 pole adapter was easy and fun. It took us an hour and a half to get the job done with two people. It would take a bit longer as a solo job, but it's a very simple install, and would be doable alone using blocks. Wiring tested fine on the trailer. There is a little play in between the drawbar and the hitch receiver, but it's nothing worth worrying about for light towing applications. Drawtite drawbar and Drawtite hitch receiver are made for one another, and I would definitley recommend this solution to anyone looking to tow a kayak or small sport frame trailer with a 2013 Fit.

This gives just the extra lift I need to tow a trailer behind my Honda Fit. The Fit is low, even with its stock suspension. Airbags in coil springs stop it from sinking lower, but my trailer tongue was still so low I could not use the tongue jack. Now I should be able to, as the trailer tongue will ride a bit higher than with the bar that came with my etrailer "Hidden Hitch".. This bar is solid, hefty, and appears set to be useful as long as I have my car. The extra length will also work for me.

Looks a little cheap but hopefully will work good. Highest 1 1/4 rise I could find. Great price.

Overly tight on the receiver end bit functions as intended.

I'm using this ball mount on my 2009 Honda Fit to tow a 2015 "Little Guy MyPod Max" tear drop camping trailer. The MyPod weighs 630 lbs and has a tongue weight of 90 lbs. Because the hitch receiver on my Honda Fit sits very low, I need the 5 inch rise to raise the ball to the recommended height of 16 inches above the ground. The horizontal length of this ball mount also helps bring the ball a more comfortable distance from the rear bumper. And, lastly, this ball mount, though rated at 2,000/200 lbs is very light weight.

Fits and works well for my Honda Fit especially since I have a taller trailer.

Love this hitch. It looks and fits my Optima perfectly. I was really pleased to find a modern looking hitch to fit on my car. Very strong, solid construction. Installs easily. Works great.

I used this on a 2014 Ford Fusion with a Reese receiver hitch made for my vehicle. Either the neck of the drop hitch is not long enough to get the ball a few inches away from the vehicle or the Reese receiver hitch sits too far under the vehicle.

Hitch is solid and install was 2 hours

Here's 2 photos of the finished product. Doesn't stick out very far which is fantastic, because it definitely would have looked bad on the back of a 2 door coupe GTP. As for installation, being a mechanic, all I had to do was remove 2 rear exhaust rubber hangers and the one right behind the fuel tank, lower the exhaust onto a set of jacks to support the weight. Then drilled 2 1/2" holes with a 90 degree drill. The coiled wires included with the parts saved me tons of time trying to get the bolts in. Overall, it was fairly simple to install. Torquing the bolts proved a little difficult. I would recommend you inform the customers that they'll need at least a 10" eye to eye reciever (I have the 11" one on mine) in order to clear the rear bumper and provide some space between the bumper and trailer tongue. As for the wiring, I cut a small slit in the rubber plug under the spare tire, ran some bulk trailer wiring up through it, under the tire, under the floor matting, to the right side of the trunk, behind the tail light. And up under the lid on the right side, is the tail light wire harness/connector. Test light confirmed which wires were hot, tapped into them and all the wires and lights are good to go. Just some extra info for the DIY'er that might be handy on the website so they won't have to search for it! Couldn't be happier with the hitch.

Three stars only due to my specific case on the factory-installed hitch on a 2015 VW Tiguan. The black powder coat finish was applied extremly thick, and as such it would not slide into the hitch opening on the Tiguan. The reciever I used on my Jetta wagon slid in without issue, but the ball height woul be excessive, hence the need for this one. I spent about an hour removing the powder coat and appling a thin coat of rust preventitive paint in order to use it as intended.

This drawbar was exactly what I needed with the 5" rise. I use it to tow my boat. My car is low to the ground so the rise was just what I needed. The drawbar is very durable as well. When I was out on my boat a hit and run was done on my trailer. The trailer was pushed into my car and both were moved about 3 feet forward. The drawbar didn't break in half. It was bent but it prevented any damage to the rear of my car because of the quality construction of the drawbar.

Great product. Fit and finish is excellent. I've mounted the Curt 1 1/4" hitch to my 2007 Mazdaspeed3. Taking the rear bumper off, which only took 30 minutes (maybe a few minutes more than that) made it very easy to attach the Curt hitch to the car. I wanted to compliment the Mazdaspeed3's overall appearance, so, I decided to go with the Curt euro ball mount 11 3/4" . Very pleased with the outcome.

This worked out to be the perfect ball and mount for my purpose- occasionally having to use my car to tow my utility trailer. I got this and the DrawTite receiver hitch for my '99 Monte Carlo and everything went together in less time than the estimated time that had been shown. Very happy with both purchases!

My Mini Cooper is lowered and this unit really helped level out the trailer I am pulling. The product is heavy and solid. I would definitely recommend this item

Heavy duty! I was a little bummed when I found out how much more difficult it was to find a half inch pin for this, but no matter. It is a tad loose inside the hitch, so there's a little rattle, but I doubt it's as noticable as I make it seem. Super classy and a welcome change from the typical draw bar style. An upgrade to 15" wheels from 12" wheels meant I needed more rise for my trailer ball on my very low Honda Fit. This worked great, my trailer again rides level.

Received the Class II Drawbar 5-1/2" Rise or 6" Drop - BM96 in a timely manner. The rise was what I was looking for to use with my Polaris ATV 570 since its standard receiver is 1-1\4 hitch and sits low to the ground. This was just the right height to pull my john boat behind the ATV.

My order got messed up several times. From USPS lost in shipping, wrong part ordered, wrong amount ordered (my fault), wrong part number (printed on label from manufacturer) etc... In the end etrailer managed to make it right!

Just wanted to let you know that the trailer hitch is all installed and works great.

Be sure to test fit your rig before trip day. Had to increase the safety chain length with this new ball mount. Not a big deal, but glad I caught it early!

Very happy with the hitch. Looked FOREVER all over for details when I got my new to me 2017 Ram 2500. This truck sits so dang high off the ground (4x4) I was worried about getting the proper range of drop for my different trailers. I used my 7x14 utility trailer as my baseline as it rides the lowest. From ground to bottom of my ball coupler is approx 16in. From ground to top of my hitch receiver is approx 25in. On the lowest setting my trailer sits ever so slightly nose totally empty. Check the pic with level. Once loaded I'm confident it will ride very nice. Plus I have all the range to move up for my taller trailers. Super beefy, seems well built, and I picked up the locking pins to go with. Etrailer as always had a great price and I've been ordering from them for years.

I installed the trailer wiring and a friend helped install the hitch. Etrailer website is excellent. I got the right items on time and the fit is better than my wife’s dealer installed hitch. Videos on the etrailer site are clear and correct. One caveat, don’t try installing the hitch without at least one other person and having a way to lift the car(we used ramps) is a great help. The only possible way etrailer could be any more helpful is if they could recruit some local shops that would be willing to do the installation. I especially like having my wiring in the passenger compartment when not in use. It keeps it out of the Salt here in the northeast.

I got a hitch for my Honda accord it was extremely easy to install took less time than they estimate after I installed it I bought a trailer and have hauled various things already with no problem I would recommend e trailer to anyone

I like the look of this set very much and it is easy to mount and adjust the ball mount. The workmanship and finish are beautiful. Customer service was excellent in assuring I found the correct mount for my Ford Escape. I pull my 6'x10' utility trailer or very seldom my pontoon trailer. I like that the adjustable mount comes off very easily as I remove it until I need it while my vehicle is in the garage--it helps prevent knocking your leg against it in the garage. However, I am not having any luck loosening the bolt that secures the 2 chrome balls to the adjustable ball mount; I have the correct Allen wrench but cannot exert sufficient torque to loosen the bolt while the adjustable ball holder is off the ball mount. I want to put a different ball combination on so I can pull my son's trailer, which has a smaller ball than comes with the set, if I have to. I also added the anti-rattle device and it stops the mount completely.

This still looks good with no slop easy to switch between the different ball.

There is a hole in the corner of my cardboard box and the product got lost in shipping. Thankfully a replacement is on the way. Advise you be ready to chase the mailman down if your box is too light.

The drawbar looks fine and as advertised. The first attempt to deliver resulted in an empty box showing up on my doorstep. The bar fell out in transit due to a rip in the box. Probably because the box gets tossed around during shipping. They pleasantly provided a replacement but it was packaged the same and I noticed TWO holes in this box that looked to be from the same sort of situation. Fortunately the bar didn't fall out this time. Anyway, you would think a trailer business would know how to pack up their products! ??
