Easy to use. Stows away to avoid bumping knees. Would have given 5 stars but it’s expensive. I would still recommend.

Fits our VW Touareg perfectly and allows us to tow a variety of things now. As can be seen in the pictures the hitch has a +5-inch gap between the bumper and the vertical adjustment pillar and the trailer itself is out further so there's enough room to get to the rear hatch and maneuver the vehicle/trailer.

I needed a hitch that I could haul my work trailer with and still drop the tailgate without dropping the trailer. I looked on etrailer and found one that would work barely but decided to call etrailer and see if anyone had any ideas. Steve answered and looked after I told him my requirements and came up with this. This has a longer distance from ball to pin by a few inches compared to the one I found so my tailgate will still drop even if I’m at an angle to my trailer or on a hill. Also with the adjustable height it’s great. Awesome hitch. Solid for a good price. ??

The hitch and ball mount are excellent quality. My concerns are twofold. The hitch is so heavy that I had to take it to my mechanic to have it installed. Minor cost and inconvenience, but the hitch for my previous F-150 was just as sturdy, but easy to install myself (albeit with higher ground clearance). My concern about the ball mount is that the factory told me erroneously that it could not be reversed for a drop, so I returned it. This order is for the replacement after I was finally correctly told it could be reversed and how to do that. Ball mount would have been a 3 for that reason, and overall hitch and ball mount quality a 5. So I averaged them.

My new hitch just survive it’s first hurricane, looks good on my GMC and I’m sure it’s going to pull my boat just fine! Service was 100 percent what they said! Bought from here before and will do again!

The product was well made and the customer service was great. The problem was, the video showed you were able to reverse the ball hitch and tuck in under the bumper when not being used. That is not the case, there is a raised rib on the back not allowing it to slide up.

To be honest, I use it upside down. I needed a hitch with rise, but none were available at time of purchase, and yours, inverted, works perfectly! The welds are regularly checked and remain all secure. It's a good hitch.

I have been using the Rapid Adjustable Aluminum Ball Mount hitch for over a year averaging 3 days a week delivering new compact diesel tractors to customers. The hitch has held up very well with no signs of wear. The Teflon black caps on the ball are awesome when hitching up, there is no problem with the receiver sliding onto the ball when miss aligned. I have recommended this hitch to many of my friends and customers, they too are pleased with the hitch.

The hitch assembly included everything needed for quick and complete installation. Perfect fit for my 2023 Honda Passport. Have been using etrailer for some years now and have never had a bad experience. The self-help videos are a plus for customer service. Good work guys!

I'll start off with the great customer service, called a rep for assistance and did a great job. He walked me through everything for about 5 minutes. Then I proceeded to order parts at a very reasonable price. Shipping was right on time and tracking was top notch. Now for the parts I received. Trailer hitch receiver was built like a tank, and very easy to install. I didn't even have to take off the whole bumper which I see on your website. There is only one problem with this hitch receiver. Zip ties to hold the facia bracket? It's like putting a $10 paint job on a Rolls Royce. I'm sure you have a good R&D department, but this is unacceptable. I could tell you how to make this better but I'm not part of your team. Could be solved by putting a ___ on the ______. R&D should be smart enough and paid well to figure this out. No offense but they can do better. ??ZIP TIES?? Also, it is pitched with a cap but did not receive that. I also purchased A brake controller P3 and a ball hitch. The ball hitch is pictured wrong on your website. It's pictured with an adjustable ball hitch. This is what really wanted but got something entirely different. If it works, I'll be fine with it. I should have caught that, but my eyes adjusted on the adjustable ball hitch. P3 brake controller was very easy to install, about 5 minutes. On a closing note, I will order from etrailer again. Thanks for your business. First of all, the products you find at etrailer are not your garden variety, home depot kind of fair. Much higher quality and grade/weight ratings. So to be able to get hard to find items and then by orderring at least 100$ worth of stuff also get it delivered free in 4 days, is awesome. The prices are incredible too.

My 2018 F350 chassis cab has a Knapheide service body with a Buyers hitch installed by Knapheide. It is bolted and welded in place. Unfortunately, it only has a 2" receiver. To have them change to the 2.5" receiver hitch would cost me approximately $1200. The 20,000 lb. Curt replacement hitch would not work on this truck with this bed. The Buyer's hitch has a weight rating of 16,000 lbs. and 1600 lb. tongue weight. Fortunately, Curt has come through again for me with this ball mount. I bought two: one for my 2" ball and one for my 2-5/16" ball. They are great and the drop is very close to what would be perfect. Your towing set-up is only as strong as your weakest link and I now know the the ball mount is definitely not my weakest link. One note to Curt: When you put the stickers on your ball mounts, make sure they're clean. Before I even towed, the thick Curt sticker on both ball mounts started coming off. It feels like there is some kind of coating possibly on the mount and then the decals were applied. I tried pressing them both back on but I doubt they'll last the rest of the week. But as always, Curt has built me a great product for my needs. I'm a one man landscaper business but have spent quite a bit on Curt hitch products because they WORK.

I use these on 7 trucks that tow trailers 32,000 + miles per year. If you want to feel safe with a ball carrier that will stand the test this is the way to go. I have been using these for several years with no issues and will continue to purchase them. They are heavy but they are durable.

I do a lot of off road towing of a 5000LB camping trailer. All my past experiences resulted in bent hitches. This forged hitch solved my problem. Solid and no way am I going to bend this one. :-)

Love the height adjustment for all 3 of my trailers suuper solid, I get compliments all the time when people see it "wow that things stout!" Keeps the trailer tongue from excessive bobbing, the pins it came with are a huge improvement from the standard Bobby pin style I was used to. Over all I do not regret a dollar spent and would highly recommend to anyone looking for an initial purchase or upgrade their tow life

This hitch is amazing!!! Be prepared though it is very heavy! I love how easy it is to adjust to different heights and ball sizes with the 2 common sizes provided. The scale on the back can be helpful to let you know if you have the proper trailer weight. The more you use it the more you will like it!

This is truly the last hitch you'll ever need to buy, unless of course you get a new truck with a larger hitch (example, my new F350 with 3"), in which case you'll probably want that one too!

Strong and seems to be well made and well finished. One-inch ball mounting hole. I used this for a Curt hitch mounted on a 2014 Forester and pulls a small Harbor Freight trailer. Perfect height and trailer is level. Warning - don't get their hitch pin, it does not have a hole for a cotter pin, only a weak clip that I would not trust.

I searched the internet to put a hitch on my 2016 Chevy Equinox and found an instructional video from eTrailer.com where they installed on my exact car. I decided to go with eTrailer.com because they answered all my questions and because of the video-I support businesses that go the extra mile with these videos. Shipping was quick and well tracked, however, the box was flimsy and the one end of the hitch had come out of the box side and the ball mount could have easily come out of that hole during shipping. If I were eTrailer.com I'd charge an extra couple of bucks for more sturdy boxes-people will still buy as eTrailer is a well-trusted brand and this would overcome a lot of the negative reviews you'll see on their site about this shipping issue in their own reviews :-) I installed the hitch by myself (definitely recommend help as two people holding it up to the frame makes attaching 100% easier) in about 45 minutes total (out of the box, read instructions, review video again and installation complete). All hardware went on with no issues. Great quality hitch! I also bought the lesser expensive wiring assembly because most recent equinox's come hitch ready with pre-wired assembly in the left side compartment-snap and done. Picked up a new trailer at Home Depot within days and drove 5 feet and the clacking was horrible. I had always had a welded hitch before buying a hitch that took a ball mount. I really thought something was wrong and when I searched the internet that night it turns out this is very common. However, all you need is some sort of hitch "silencing" device. The number of options will drive you mad but I went with the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch and it did the trick for much less than most of the other options. If I were eTrailer.com I'd have that as one of the RECOMMENDED add-ons and explanation why its super-worthy when customers are buying a hitch. Would have saved me the time and hassle of dealing with it later and the extra shipping charge for buying after the fact when I got free shipping for the other items the first time :-) All in all, I'm super, super happy with my hitch, wiring assembly, ball mount, ball mount locking pin and the hitch silencer.
