Best 2018 Ram ProMaster 2500 Trailer Hitch Ball Mounts

The hitch and ball mount are excellent quality. My concerns are twofold. The hitch is so heavy that I had to take it to my mechanic to have it installed. Minor cost and inconvenience, but the hitch for my previous F-150 was just as sturdy, but easy to install myself (albeit with higher ground clearance). My concern about the ball mount is that the factory told me erroneously that it could not be reversed for a drop, so I returned it. This order is for the replacement after I was finally correctly told it could be reversed and how to do that. Ball mount would have been a 3 for that reason, and overall hitch and ball mount quality a 5. So I averaged them.

I have two of these. My first I bought two years ago. I very highly recommend this Curt Class III Ballmount 2" Drop because of its price, durability and quality. I towed various class 3 loads with ease and confidence with this ballmount. It slides into the hitch and does its job without fail. It looks excellent after towing a load. etrailer's price is about as good as it gets and delivery is very speedy.

Was shipped on time.B&W hitch was fine just missing one pin clip.Box had several holes where pin clip could have fallen out. Looks like it had a rough trip.

The product is good but a bit tideous and after installing it my bracket fell and it was a pain to get replace it support made me buy the replacement pieces and the bracket didnt come with just the bolts, and at the end they told i have i had to buy the whole unit because based on their system my truck didnt have issues with installement and the manufacturer didnt supply that bracket cause it special order so in general i dont recommend in my choice better to get it welded.

Working in the sand and grass of my driveway my wife and I installed our new etrailer receiver hitch. Great fit and finish! Went right on as described in the online guide. Hitch required a spacer washer on top back bolt attachment point. Taped it on so it would not move while lifting in place and it stayed right there! Used a car jack to raise up and hold the hitch into the underside of the trunk tighten the bolts and reattached the tail pipe done. Now we can pull our Sunfish Sailboat any where the car will go.

Very pleased with product, looks awesome on my lifted 01 Ford Superduty F-350. This 10 inch drop allowed me to keep my trailer level when hauling my 4 wheeler. Just in time for opening day.

Product looks and feels great. Only reason it got a 4/5 is because a truck driver friend of mine told me that he had one and the shank wore down from rubbing on steel bc of the aluminum on steel receiver contact. I might rig up a thin steel collar for it to prevent any degradation down the road. Works great on my truck with 7 inches of lift and 35" tires. Buy the Andersen Stainless steel locking pins for it so it doesn't walk off. New pins have better corrosion resistance and are less easily picked by thieves than standard barrel locks, plus they match the look.

Strong and seems to be well made and well finished. One-inch ball mounting hole. I used this for a Curt hitch mounted on a 2014 Forester and pulls a small Harbor Freight trailer. Perfect height and trailer is level. Warning - don't get their hitch pin, it does not have a hole for a cotter pin, only a weak clip that I would not trust.

I searched the internet to put a hitch on my 2016 Chevy Equinox and found an instructional video from eTrailer.com where they installed on my exact car. I decided to go with eTrailer.com because they answered all my questions and because of the video-I support businesses that go the extra mile with these videos. Shipping was quick and well tracked, however, the box was flimsy and the one end of the hitch had come out of the box side and the ball mount could have easily come out of that hole during shipping. If I were eTrailer.com I'd charge an extra couple of bucks for more sturdy boxes-people will still buy as eTrailer is a well-trusted brand and this would overcome a lot of the negative reviews you'll see on their site about this shipping issue in their own reviews :-) I installed the hitch by myself (definitely recommend help as two people holding it up to the frame makes attaching 100% easier) in about 45 minutes total (out of the box, read instructions, review video again and installation complete). All hardware went on with no issues. Great quality hitch! I also bought the lesser expensive wiring assembly because most recent equinox's come hitch ready with pre-wired assembly in the left side compartment-snap and done. Picked up a new trailer at Home Depot within days and drove 5 feet and the clacking was horrible. I had always had a welded hitch before buying a hitch that took a ball mount. I really thought something was wrong and when I searched the internet that night it turns out this is very common. However, all you need is some sort of hitch "silencing" device. The number of options will drive you mad but I went with the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch and it did the trick for much less than most of the other options. If I were eTrailer.com I'd have that as one of the RECOMMENDED add-ons and explanation why its super-worthy when customers are buying a hitch. Would have saved me the time and hassle of dealing with it later and the extra shipping charge for buying after the fact when I got free shipping for the other items the first time :-) All in all, I'm super, super happy with my hitch, wiring assembly, ball mount, ball mount locking pin and the hitch silencer. Very nice ball mount. Smooth, one piece design. Unlike my previous ball mount, it's long enough (enough straight length between the pin hole and the beginning of the bend) to accommodate a Blue Ox Hitch Receiver Immobilizer II, yielding a nice, tight connection. Attractive polished finish. Made in Taiwan (according to the box it came in). Photos show it attached to a Hidden Hitch Class III Hitch Receiver, secured with a Blue Ox Hitch Receiver Immobilizer II, and a Curt 40053 2-inch stainless steel ball.

Great looking product and fast service as usual. Now I can keep it clean and stored under my seat without the grease and rust issue. The ball mount with the 2" Brophy stainless ball and the Master Lock Pivot Hitch pin work perfect. Thanks, Garland R in Kentucky...…….

Excellent hitch easy installation.It only took me about an hr and half to install from start to finish

All I really needed was the ball mount/hitch. The whole package was a little pricey but I figured I could use the other stuff (locking pin, hitch cover, storage case) anyway so I bought the package. The locking pin key broke after a week and I had to drill the lock out to remove it. Then I saw I could have purchased what I needed at my local auto parts store for about 1/3 what I paid for this. Definitely what I should have done. No problems with the actual ball and hitch though.

Nice solid (not hollow) and WELDED hitch. Have logged about 5,000 miles this year with no problems. I had many problems with bolted on balls, welded hitches are the way to go.

This was the right set up for my 2018 4Runner. Works great. As a footnote, I now have a second vehicle for towing (2019 Tundra 4X4). Using the measuring process provided by etrailer folks, I found the same ball works great on the Tundra. Thanks!

This is a great all-purpose hitch. I've used it to mount a heavy-duty bike rack and a steel T-rack to carry a canoe as well as lumber. Most recently I hauled 5 x 8 cargo trailers full of plants, then furniture for a 600-mile move. It was simple to use, problem free, very strong and sturdy. Now that I live on some acreage, I see a trailer in my future, so this will get a lot more use. I drive a 2013 Tacoma, so this is a good size hitch at a good price with sufficient capacity for my needs. I do use a key lock for the hitch as well.

Just your basic ball mount, the product is just like most 2” Hitch ball mounts, the service wasn’t very good though. Ordered on June 15th (product was in stock) took them 6 days to send it out, took another 6 days in shipping and got all the way to my post office two days before leaving on vacation (I needed it for the vacation) and the post office said “box was empty and they notified seller” etrailer sent a new one (got here a week after my vacation) in a damaged box (packaging is horrible, little bit of paper in a box with a 5 lbs ball mount) almost lost this one too. I don’t believe I’ll be using etrailer in the future (had issues before)

Very happy with this ball mount - provides just the amount of drop we required for a level tow of our GeoPro travel trailer by our RAM2500. Plus, the extra length not only allows a tighter turning radius, but also allows us to lower the truck tailgate without having to detach the trailer. Huge improvement on all accounts for us compared to our prior setup. The product is well built and I'm confident will provide us years of good use.

Your packaging it's lousy, package arrived with a receiver size hole in the end of box . Guess what the box was empty . This is the second time I have had problems with your company !

It’s a beast! Installed it n pulled my dump trailer no more rattling jerking nosies etc, wish it was 20lbs lighter my only complaint, The locks could be better I won’t be leaving the hitch installed, the locks are light weight n I believe a hammer will break them off, curt needs to use steel or stainless steel for the locks ( body of locks)

I think overall it is a good product but there are some annoyances. To begin with, this hitch is very heavy. The package weight was 75 pounds, but the main body is at least 50. I can manipulate it, but someone weaker may not be able to. Setting the ball is also a bit tricky with the stopper between the ball mount and the riser. I was able to use my body weight to get the stopper compressed and the pin in, but it was difficult. One suggestion might be to hitch the trailer with the pin out then use the tongue weight of the trailer to get the lower pin lined up. This will not be a good solution for being on the lowest position, but it works for all the others. My other annoyance is it really messes up the back up camera and proximity sensor. Yes, I know I can disable the sensor, but the camera can't be moved which makes hitching alone a bit more annoying. I feel like there is a more elegant design so that there is not a bulge at the top of the riser, but I can't say for sure.

Both connecting lock n roll products are a great addition to my project roof top tent, utility, kayak mounted, Solar energy equipped overland adventure trailer. Not only has my travel range increased due to this go anywhere upgrade, but my trailer security and its value has increased also. I am a very happy customer. So.e fab work may be necessary.

Some of the backroads we drive look more like a riverbed, and we worried about the twists and turns on our conventional hitch. The Lock N Roll hitch eliminates that worry. But the best part is the ease of hook-up. The Lock N Roll hitch is more forgiving in hook-up angle, and no more beating on the trailer mechanism to get it to grip the ball. Good heavy-duty product.

I have yet to tow with this hitch because I just received it today. Upon receiving the box I knew this hitch was not for the faint of heart. It felt like a massive hitch weighing in at 118lbs. Taking it out of the box I could see that this hitch is built like a beast and will likely be more hitch than I will ever need, but I needed a drop hitch and after asking etrailer questions and doing my own extensive research, I decided this was the hitch I should buy. I like the fact that it will give a little more space between the trailer and the truck, it can be used as a pintle setup if the need arises, and it comes with two ball sizes. Using this for my enclosed landscape trailer I am hoping it extends the life of tires and suspension components. I will try and update in the future after towing with this hitch.

Love the height adjustment for all 3 of my trailers suuper solid, I get compliments all the time when people see it "wow that things stout!" Keeps the trailer tongue from excessive bobbing, the pins it came with are a huge improvement from the standard Bobby pin style I was used to. Over all I do not regret a dollar spent and would highly recommend to anyone looking for an initial purchase or upgrade their tow life

This hitch is amazing!!! Be prepared though it is very heavy! I love how easy it is to adjust to different heights and ball sizes with the 2 common sizes provided. The scale on the back can be helpful to let you know if you have the proper trailer weight. The more you use it the more you will like it!
