Best 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Tow Bars

One year ago I purchased the equipment to tow my Jeep Grand Cherokee 4 flat behind my motorhome from etrailer. I received the items within 4 days, and was able to do the install myself thanks to the fantastic instructional videos provided by etrailer. I have towed it from Iowa to Colorado, and several shorter trips. It is easy to hook up/unhook and tows fantastic. I went with the Roadmaster Sterling tow bar as well as the roadmaster crossbar with removable arms. I would HIGHLY recommend this setup! I also put the roadmaster diode wiring set in the Jeep to use the tail lights. Works flawless! I have used etrailer for several items and have always been completely satisfied. Preston was super helpful in helping me choose the best equipment for my application! Can't go wrong with etrailer!

The tow bar is excellent quality and simple to install. Connecting and disconnecting are a breeze. I had the old style tracker tow bar, but had to upgrade for a heavier vehicle. It fits well on a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The product is working very well

I have been thoroughly satisfied with my Roadmaster tow bar. I use it to tow my Jeep Grand Cherokee behind my Damon RV and could not be happier with the Jeep in tow.

The adjustable arms make this tow bar simple to hook up and disconnect. I can pull up behind our RV and hook up in about 3 minuets (including the wiring for our break buddy and putting the transfer in neutral). Disconnecting and stowing the bar is even faster. Although is tow bar is locked to the baseplate and folds flat it is so easy to remove I end up taking it off and putting it in the back when we will not be towing.

I purchased both the parts of the tow system. I just purchase a Jeep Grand Cherokee (99) to pull behind our motorhome for week end trips. We just returned from the first week-end with access to a vehicle to move around the area, and short trips to town. It adds a wonderful dimension to the experience. This system allowed us to pull this vehicle with our motorhome, and I can say it pulled as if there was nothing behind me. It was quick to hook up, and easy to un-hook. My labor time to install was about 2 1/2 Hours, and went smoothly. This is a wonderful product, and works as desired. I've used this tow bar for my little Kia Rio5 Toad behind my 32' Itasca Class A motorhome. Reliable, easy to attach and remove, good construction. Had good experience recent trip from Seattle to Death Valley (7 percent grade in places!) and southern Arizona, over 4,000 miles round trip. It passed the acid test: driving I-5 south in Oregon, traffic suddenly came to a screeching halt ahead of us. We stopped with inches to spare from the car ahead of us. The TOAD stayed right behind, no jack knifing, etc. Good product.

Easy to hook up our toad ( Jeep ). I can connect or disconnect in about 2 minutes all while standing. Stays right behind our RV and you only know its back there when you look in the rear view mirror. I would buy this again.

We've been towing our Jeep Grand Cherokee for about 8 months now with this tow bar and it's worked flawlessly! We've been places where the coach and Jeep are not perfectly aligned putting the attaching pins in a bind, but with a simple release of the handle it would release the arm and unbind the pin. Super easy to use. I highly recommend the Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding tow bar. OH! The LED lights along the arm make it look great too!!

THis towbar has been excellent at towing my Jeep Grand Cherokee behind my Class A RV. Only complaint I have is the location of the wiring harness, it has been pinched during tight turns a couple time, but that is also on me for doing those turns.

While the quality of this units seems excellent, and it is a good price, I was unable to use it in my setup. I Bought it to go with the Blue Ox base plate for a 2014 Chevy Spark. That base plate sets the tow bar connections 23" above the ground. This tow bar requires a 7" rise from the base plate connection to the hitch. Meaning 30" above the ground at the hitch. In my rig, this would require a hitch riser of over 12". I have no complaints about the tow bar, however, it is not a good option with the 2014 Spark Blue Ox base plate.

Functions by design. I pull a 2003 behind my motorhome. Easy to install, easy to connect to Jeep and hitch of motorhome. Never had an issue pulling, put about 5000 miles on since purchase. I would do it again if needed. Great product

Very nice, i have used it 4 times flat towing my 89 Jeep Wrangler YJ over 1000 miles. Very happy and tows like there is nothing behind me, thanks for a fine product!!

You guys where great product broke a few months after purchase tried contacting manufacturer but never heard back from them very poor customer service on their end thank you

This tow bar is incredibly easy to use and our Grand Cherokee tracks very well even up to 70+ MPH. We are towing with our new Dynamax and are looking forward to our first long drive to Texas in December. Would highly recommend to anyone!!

Works great on our Mini Cooper S Connects with removeable pins, making connections to the RV quick and easy.

There is not a lot of information on the internet about pulling this kind of VW. I did my homework and this works GREAT when pulling a standard transmission with key left in "ON" position. etrailer has a lot of variety to offer for different needs. This is the lower priced, plain Jane, no frills, less moving parts for something to go wrong - exactly what I was looking for tow bar. With little work it folds up for storage easily. Installation on our '98 diesel VW was clean and easy without incident (I do all my own modifications when needed. There is no rattling loose fit in tight corners or straight a ways. We don't even know we are pulling anything behind our '68 Dodge Travco B210 (modified with 5.9 Cummins)

This tow bar is easy to use and maintain. I do wish they shipped a cover for the arms when they are not in use.

Put a ram 3500 mega cab diesel with 800 lbs of motorcycles in bed and towed behind tag axle diesel pusher RV flawless, easy to use.

It didn't work with the off-road bumper setup that I was sold

Great purchase and suggestion from etrailer. This thing is so easy to hook up to the Jeep and we couldn't be happier. We've only towed a few times, but already the wife has taken over hooking up the tow bar while I hook up the Brake Buddy in the Jeep. Easy to hook up, just as easy to disconnect after you arrive. I wish we had done this years ago!

This whole system is great!!! Even being a female, it takes less than a minute to connect or disconnect, just a couple of small receivers stick out of the front of the car. And they are removeable when not towing. My brother even bought a set for his Class C. It is difficult to back up in the Class C, IT is ok as it is quick to disconnect, so no worries.

Great Base plate kit! Very easy to follow instructions even with my aftermarket bumper with winch. It fit perfect. The only issue I have is where the safety cables attach to the base plate….the cable connectors are too big to fit through the holes because the Jeep’s frame blocks part of the hole. See photo with red circle. I will have to get a smaller connector.
