This is the perfect rise to tow a small trailer for moving.

Very sturdy product but hole for the ball was drilled off center - shifted 1/16" to the side. etrailer kindly replaced the original after seeing a picture showing the fault.

I neeed to pull a trailer with my 2019 GMC Yukon. I found Etrailer.com and followed the instructions on determining the drop of the hitch, the instructions were spot on. I hooked up my trailer to my Yukon today, all was level and worked perfectly. I had driven around to Napa, Lowe’s, Home Depot and Walmart, and nobody had the 9” drop hitch I needed. Came back to Etrailer, bought the 2” ball and pin, and the Curt 9” drop hitch. I received the items quickly. Great website, Thanks, Craig

The following photos are of my 1988 Fleetwood Jamboree and my baby (rare 1982 Toyota Corolla Station Wagon) all connected up and the 9" drop towing bar makes my Toyota towing very easy and safe at a level condition with my RV. Basically I bought this ball-mount after I installed the low-slung hitch receiver from ETRAILER to know I have an ability to haul something if really needed in an emergency situation. The receiver hitch was purchased for my Thule bicycle rack , purchased from Etrailer.

The ball mount is just what I needed but I think the packaging could have been stronger. One end was ripped open.

We bought this to tow our 3,000 lbs. boat with our Subaru Ascent with a 5,000 lbs. towing capacity. With the OEM ball mount, we could really feel every jolt and jiggle from hard stops, going over bumps in the road, and trailering down dirt roads. However, the dual cushion ball has really improved our trailing experience. Once we get up to speed, we hardly notice we are towing our boat. It's also great because some of the lakes we visit are down dirt roads, and the cushion makes this a much more pleasant experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone towing a boat or larger trailer with a SUV as it maintains that comfortable ride and the jostling of the trailer is much less noticeable.

A year has passed with my Convert-A-Ball Dual-Cushioned, Adjustable Ball Mount and I have nothing but praise for this mount. Once you find the correct height to have a perfectly level trailer there's no need to adjust. The beauty lies in the cushioning! Towing a Yamaha AR190 (3200lb boat and trailer combo) is silent. Even over the bumpiest pavement the tow is smooth. There is no harsh slamming when braking or taking off from the boat ramp. I don't know why everyone isn't running one of these, I wouldn't run any other hitch mount PERIOD! If you're on the fence, get off and buy one, you will NOT regret it!
