24x60 Reese Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
Ordering from etrailer.com was easy, package was delivered early, and assembly took about 15 min. The only negative I have is there was some damage to the top rail ( deep scratches) don't think they came from delivery, the box that the carrier arrived in had no visible damage. Overall I am pleased with the product. I plan on using the carrier on my Pathfinder (hunting vehicle).

Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket - 64-1/2" Long x 39" Wide x 7-1/4" Tall - 150 lbs
I love the rack and the extended length is great on my Sequoia. I am disappointed with the finish on it as the connector plates are already showing signs of rust….. I like it enough that I’m going to repaint it with something more suited to our climate…
Surface rust and paint discoloration after one year. One of the plastic hand-nuts started stripping/spinning, so I had to run down the opposing one to get it to hold, which means that the stud sticks into the cargo area. Wind deflector isn't even. The wind noise is very loud, I can't open my sunroof while driving anymore. All told, it's probably worth what I paid, but it's not exactly a premium product.

Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket - 41-1/2" Long x 37" Wide x 4" Deep - 150 lbs
I am very pleased with the quality for the price.Just the right size for my 2017 Chevy Trax.the "U" bolts that are used to clamp the basket to the roof cross bars were a bit long so I cut them shorter & installed rubber caps on top of each stud. This keeps the studs from damaging items in the bssket.See pictures.
The reason I bought this basket is due to gas prices. I have a 4X4 suburban I use for camping and hunting but it takes a small loan to fill up the tank. Actually this basket cost less than it does to fill it up. So my thought was if i can get all my gear on my daily driver then i could save some money and maybe even sale the burb. So i gave it a shot last weekend. The rack was easy to put together. I had it out of the box and on the roof in under 30 minutes. As you can see in the pic, i have a rather large ice chest, chain saw, 6 man tent, gas stove and my chair on the roof. My camping destination was about 3 hours away. First was a hour of highway driving at speeds around 70. No issues there. Then 2 hours of windy back roads. No issues there either. The basket made it possible for me and my two kids to load up in the car and head to the hills for three days. The plus for me was it only takes 50$ to fill up the car. :-) I had the max weight in this basket with no issues. I'm very happy with this basket.

GearSpace 34 Enclosed Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitch - Slide Out - 34 cu ft - 300 lbs - Dark Gray
We looked all over for a hardshell storage pod, one that would fit 300 pounds of embroidery hardware. This one from Gearspace fit the bill. Super easy checkout with etrailer.com, and they were the only ones to offer free shipping, and since this is a larger, heavier item, that means LTL Freight. Not [online vendor] and not the Mfg. The GearSpace 34 arrived earlier than promised, and it was an easy unload if you have room for a sixty foot tractor trailer. 190 lbs on a pallet, but it will load right into the back of a pickup real easy. Took about 30 minutes to install, and it went like a breeze. Light test, check... signals, check. Ready to roll on our next RV trip, with lots more room for goodies along the way. This item gets an A+, it works as advertised, and etrailer.com was GREAT. They communicate often and update on order status. even sent out an email to get customer feedback and review, along with some pictures. I'm sure after this stellar review they will send me a nice etrailer hat & Koozie Pictures show the Gearspace 34 loaded with about 200 lbs right now. It never moved an inch and is solid on the mounting hitch hardware. You will not be disappointed with this product, it's top of the line for RV rear storage.
We use it all the time on our Coachmen Beyond (transit camper van). We fit our folding bikes and all our camping and boating gear that we don't want to put in the van such as a small grill, chairs, steam vac, dirty laundry, firewood, tents, cords, pressure washer to name a few. Love that it pulls out so we can fully open the back doors. It does get some water in it when it rains at times. Seems pretty solid and secure when we lock it. I do worry that the rubber closures will dry rot at some point and last I knew you can't get replacements. That would be one thing I wish you would add to the parts list if you haven't already. Overall very nice box.

20 x 59 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
Easy to assemble, nice and solid cargo tray! Bought it with the hitch bracket. Note: no hitch pin included.
This turned out to be a great product, very solid once put together. And that is the key issue, putting it together. The directions are almost useless. I would like to greatly thanks the folks who wrote reviews and gave info on putting this product together. The three top tidbits of information were: 1) The "lip" MUST be down for the "Connection profiles" to fit (try putting the two connection parts (one has the reflector on it) onto the bottom frame and you will see how it fits together; 2) You better have 13, 14, &17 mm wrenches and also sockets (to speed things up). All the nuts and bolts except for the hitch pin are metric; and 3) Do not tighten down any of the bolts until you fully assemble the carrier. If you do, you will not be able to get the pieces to fit. Thanks so much to the reviewers who took the time to give such great advice. It is time consuming to put this carrier together, but not difficult if you follow above. It looks good once assembled and should work just fine, haven't put it on my trailer yet.

Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket - 57" Long x 42" Wide - 165 lbs
So far so good - haven't loaded it up yet but seems like it will be perfect for hauling all my gear to the beach and beyond. Install was straightforward and I didn't notice any wind noise or vibration on my commute in. I had gone back and forth on a number of different lengths and models (including the KUAT) because I wanted a rack that didn't look too squatty or disproportionate on my Pathfinder. I think this wound up being the perfect size.
It's a great rack once it is put together. The 3 stars is because the instruction booklet is TERRIBLE. In addition to there not being specific references to parts listed in the front, the pictures are incredibly small and not helpful at all. I watched the video about the rack and my specific SUV, the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder, and OEM parts prior to purchasing. They must have made some slight adjustments prior to filming it, because I definitely had to do a few things to make the clamps work on my crossbars. Again, these are OEM and the video had the same ones. The project took much longer than it should have because of all the reasons listed above.

24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Tilting - Folding - 500 lbs
We used it for the first time this weekend. Two 300 mile trips and no problems. No rattles. Very quiet.
Super disappointed in this etrailer purchase. The product came in a large box that was fully intact and not damaged. The actual cargo basket was meticulously wrapped and appeared to be brand new as expected. The other components however, like the arm, were in boxes that were smashed, old, worn, and had multiple layers of old tape. The arm itself was scratched and banged up, even rusty in spots. Clearly it was used or had been a returned item. If I wanted a dented, gouged, and rusty Cargo Carrier I would have purchased one used, for half the price. This is not the quality I expect from etrailer.. I have purchased many racks and other items from this company and usually the quality is outstanding. This time they dropped the ball. I have since read other reviews and it is apparent that this is not an isolated incident. I'd have sent it back if it wasn't so damn heavy and awkward to lug around.

Yakima OffGrid Roof Cargo Basket - Steel - 44" Long x 40" Wide - 165 lbs
The Yakima OffGrid medium rack arrived yesterday at about 10:30 a.m. It was fully unpacked/assembled/installed by about 11:45. etrailer did a fine job of communicating/pricing/delivering and supporting this good product. I've been using Yakima products (and others) for biking, paddling, fishing etc. for about 45 years. This rack is a serious solution to a variety of uses of a roof rack. I will be able to use it on various vehicles and for a number of applications (sports, chores, travel etc.) It has more flexibility than most racks and I can't imagine a more durable, quality design. My particular needs, being in my "Dotage", are met by the ability to remove the cross bars and fairing for an open platform, or keep them on and custom fit to a spare tire, or bike rack, kayak rack etc. The attaching mechanisms drew my attention. I put this on the car with solo and with caution using a protective mat. It is very manageable and easy to fit. These mechanisms for tightening down on the crossbars bring the added value (and cost) to folks like me that don't want to spend a lot of time and effort installing a rooftop rack. I wanted secure, solid attachment with simplicity. The OffGrid delivers! No pain killers needed after the install! This "Medium" OffGrid is more than adequate for my initial uses. The internal and external dimensions are pretty much ideal for this 2017 Sienna. A full size spare tire will fit just right. A nice fit for a canoe as well. I admit to scouring the internet and considering dozens of products from baskets to platforms and this OffGrid showed a lot of promise. Its versatility and ruggedness competes with the best designs at about half the price of many. My thoughts included the extension bracket, but the medium OffGrid really does meet most of my expectations and needs for various applications. Now, to the matter of noise. There is wind noise. However, for me, it simply blends into the symphony of white noise that comes with highway travel (and the ringing in my ears) :)......Of all the racks, bikes, canoes, kayaks ladders, lumber, etc., etc. that I have carried on car tops, the wind sounds of this carrier are negligible. The fairing is a nice, well thought out feature that works well. So, my five star rating is for both the product and the vendor. Once again "eTrailer" has proven themselves to be one of the best sources of such products nationwide. Their product information efforts are an industry leader and they deserve credit for providing extremely helpful product reviews and explanations. That's what got me to choose them on this purchase. Those of us well into our "Dotage" appreciate learning all we can!

Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket - Steel - 44" Long x 39" Wide
Well done Yakima and etrailer. Great product and great service. The product is well made (in Taiwan....not China) and the parts and instruction video made it relatively" easy to install. Two people helps to install it more readily. The wind diffuser in the front greatly reduces wind noise. All in all very happy and glad I bought through etrailer. Service was excellent and delivery prompt.
I am very happy with both the initial quality of the Load Warrior and how nice the eTrailer people are to deal with... The product seems well thought out and there are a bunch of accessories to mount most anything...

SportRack Vista XL Cargo Box - Roof Mount - 18 cu ft - Black
Our SportRack cargo box has worked as hoped / advertised since we bought it over a year ago. What initially attracted me to this particular product was the size and design - it holds A LOT, and the way it opens from the back has helped protect our stuff from getting wet and damaged.
Our family of 4 took two trips with this box. One was a week-long driving/camping trip from Texas to Appalachian Mountains. It has plenty of room for sleeping bags/tent/chairs/misc. We drove about 80 mph on open highway, drove through rainstorms and had no problems. I have a 2013 Toyota 4Runner and needed to buy crossbars that fit my vehicle before installing the box. I learned not to leave loose clothing in the cargo box while driving on the highway. Small clothing can get sucked out of the small sliver of an opening created along the side while driving fast. Now I put towels, dirty clothes in a duffel bag to prevent this. Remember to avoid parking garages!

Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier for 2" Hitches - With Ramp - 77" Long - 500 lbs
I can't say I'm entirely happy with my purchase. The instructions were more confusing than helpful. Note in "instruction.jpg" photo of STEP 1 that the text says to put the 8 small bolts in from the inside first, but the drawing clearly shows them as going in from the outside. The last step says to place the ramp onto the receiver as shown.... glad I didn't throw away the box because there is no drawing that shows ramp installation. Actually, the photo on the box was more helpful than any of the instructions. Also, I need to make a trip to the hardware store to buy longer medium bolts because the ones that came with the carrier were not long enough to fully engage the self locking feature of the nylon lock nuts. At a minimum a couple of threads should protrude beyond the nylon. See photo "nut.jpg". The bolt threads don't reach the end of the nylon, so the self locking feature is not fully engaged. I did tighten the nut, but that was as far as it would go. I think once I get back from the hardware store with the new medium bolts and after I reverse the 8 small bolts (I followed the drawing and not the text of the instructions), I'll be OK with the carrier.
"Instantly Get Rid of Wobble and Upgrade With Lights" This is not a 5 because ramp should be longer & there should be some type stabilizer to temporary hold bike while strapping down, I'd pay more for those upgrades. The wobble can instantly be solved by hooking Tie-Straps closest to vehicle directly to the receiver where you hook your chains, rather than hooking them to the provided holes on carrier itself. You of course use the provided strap holes ones on the opposite side. When strapped down as stated, the carrier now becomes one with the vehicle & @ 80mph there is no wobble. (*TIP: Put ramp back in its place before strapping down or else it won't fit with the strap hooks in the way.) I upgraded mine with lights for both safety reasons & not needing the Police any reason to pull me over. It was very simple and cost me nothing but time & maybe $50. I recommend this product whole heartedly.

32x48 Reese Solo Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 400 lbs
I received the package in a pretty rough exterior condition but everything was fine inside. The previous comments about having to cut away the expanded metal flooring in order to install the carriage bolts wasn't true in my case. Apparently, this quality control issue has been addressed by the manufacturer. Assembly went well and wasn't complicated. A different carriage bolt with a longer square shoulder should be used. The shoulder doesn't grip too well to the square cutout in the frame and even while pressing firmly on the head of the bolt, it wanted to turn as I was tightening the nut. All in all, it seems to be a solid product and I look forward to using it.
I only gave an average rating because the carrier was not easy to assemble without slight modification. The bolt holes for assembly were blocked by the steel mesh. I cut the mesh that covered several of the holes with a rotary disc cutter.

Malone Cargo16 Rooftop Cargo Box - 16 Cubic ft - Gray
Pro: This box is a perfect option to add to the cargo capacity of my Toyota RAV4. Great for camping, fishing or skiing trips (but watch out that your XC skies don't exceed the length capacity of the box!). Pro: The box fits onto Malone cross bars very securely: once screwed down it's solid. Install and removal is very easy. Con: The front arm that holds the box lid open is attached with a rubber-covered pin at the front, and a metal retainer at the rear, see photos. Without the locking metal retainer, the front arm pops loose off the lid's pin. Initially I thought this was a mfg defect, but this is how it's built. etrailer contacted Malone and both provided great support. Malone sent me a new rubber grommet to insert on the pin at the front arm. But that didn't fix the problem at all. In the end, I replaced the rubber grommet with a metal bolt that permanently attaches the front support arm with the box lid. Would I buy this product again? Probably not.
We received our Malone Cargo Box and are very happy with it. It was installed on a 2016 Subaru Outback. For us, it holds two complete sets of golf clubs, golf shoes, balls, a bag of miscellaneous tie downs, and a small metal carrying case with wheels. We haven't used it on a long trip yet, but locally it's very stable. There is some strong wind noise when the sunroof is open. We also needed to use shims on the rear crossbar to prevent the pod from hitting the antenna. You can access this Box from either side which is nice. Overall we're happy with our purchase.

Yakima SkyBox 18 Rooftop Cargo Box - 18 cu ft - Black Carbonite
I replaced an old Thule box with this. My opinion is that the locking mechanism, the clamping system, and the hinges are superior to the Thule's. Especially the locking mechanism. I used to have to wrestle the Thule box to get things lined up so that I could close and lock the box. And the bonus is that this box was less money (than an equivalent Thule) and eTrailer shipped it for free!
Fit was perfect will be using it for a long time to come it heavy for one person to try and load it up on the vehicle though

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Nissan Pathfinder
Today, on our 2016 Nissan Pathfinder, we're doing a test fit of the Curt 20 x 48 Cargo Carrier. That part number is C18110. This has a 300 pound weight capacity and works with both 1 1/4 and 2 inch hitches. The first thing we're going to do here is take a few measurements. We're going to start off with our ground clearance. To the bottom of this bolt here we're going to have about 15 inches. That is because we do have a raised shank in the back, which is going to lift our carrier even higher than our hitch.
What our customers are saying:
"I received my cargo carrier today. I ordered the 52018 and I just put it together and put it on my 1996 Land Rover Discovery. I must say, the fit and finish is AWESOME! I slid it into the trailer hitch receiver and then stood on the center beam and the carrier acted as if I weren't there. I can now take my family of five to Florida in our new Land Rover and carry all of our luggage and SCUBA gear. Thanks for the great product at a great price and with great service."
